Hey guys! I have Sony Xperia S. Today I received a MMS message. But it says "Message not downloaded". How can I see this message? It is very important to me to see it.
Please answer quickly! Thanks for the help!
Are you using a different messaging app other than stock? I would try stock if so. Either that or restart your phone or have the person resend it.

What Rom are you on?
If your on a sense based Rom, go to your messages, press menu, settings, general, click conversation mode. Hope this helps.

And that's why I use GO SMS over the stock message app. Haven't had this problem ever again.

could you please be a bit more specific - either about your phone (is it a new one or not, rooted or not, do you probably have a simlock, ... etc.) and about the problem: what exactly do you mean by "can't use phone and txt messaging" - do you get an error message? Does anything happen at all when you try? Does the unlock work as expected? etc.
The phone app just closes when trying to make a call no error messages and the messaging app just does not send messages the phone is unlocked and rooted

if I get you right that problem exists since you first used that phone? what ROM was the phone on when you got it?
To exclude an error with the SIM card you could try to boot with a different one (if possible).
Swyped from my HTC Wildfire (Buzz)
When I first got the phone it was on stock 2.1 rom. I get a sim card error when I try to see if there's any call forwarding on the phone.

If I send out too many messages in a short amount of time, I get a pop up telling if I should allow the messaging app to continue sending. But it repeats the question with every text. I know it's a google malware security feature, but it's super annoying. Anyway to turn it off?

Sounds like a problem with your carrier, I'd suggest given them a call.
Btw, you didn't give any info on what ROM/kernel you're using.
Stock everything

Then yeah, contact your carrier. I believe it's on their end.
If they tell you to factory reset, don't listen lol. That's not the problem. (Can be used as last resort)

If that doesn't work, pm me and I will give you the zip file for the mod I'm using, I can't find the thread for it now for some reason.

i used the one you posted in the link but the picture messages dont work
the one youre using do the pic messages work? if they do please let me know thanks ALOT
The one I linked is actually a newer version of the one I had. I'm using the one from the link now, and it works flawlessly for me, including picture messaging.
Thread for the actual mod
On the original version, you had to click view next to the picture, then go back before sending it or it would crash.

yeah i noticed that, if i would just try and send it, it would crash, if i view the picture first and then send it it would work how weird.
what about receiving pic messages? will i receive them or will it crash?

I've been able to receive them fine, even on the older version. But with the one that's posted up there now, I don't have to use the view workaround at all.
