How do I flash boot animation zip I go to recovery and flash but then says install aborted I'm using clockwork on evo
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
99% of the bootanimations are not flashable. You will need to move it in a certain folder depending in what base rom you are on. Which rom are you currently running.

Cm7 do I move it using my computer?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
You will need to use adb for using your computer, or a root file explorer using your phone. You will need to put the zip file in your /system/media folder and make sure it is named exactly "bootanimation.zip" for it to work. If you can't get it let me know and I will try and walk you thru it.

Alright I got it. Its strange on this phone. I found all the files by selecting install from internal storage. I'm sorry guys I'm used to the nexus in which you select install from sdcard

I was using odin to flash cwm in order to root my s3 and instead of clicking pda I clicked bootloader and flashed it. Phone still works but in recovery it cannot mount the sdcard int or ext to root. How can I flash back to stock bootloader? I rooted before but by accident and in a rush I clicked bootloader and not pda. Please help thanks

Is it the recovery.img or recovery.tar file I need to flash under bootloader?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Can I just flash stock rom via odin? Someone surely knows the answer.

Solved. Thanks for the help

So what did u do to fix it
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
There apparently was some sort of update by sprint that kept cwm recovery from mounting sdcard and internal memory. There is a fixed recovery method on xda somewhere that allowes access so I then flashed the stock rom

I have done bricking my phone similarly a couple of times but ODIN saved me. I had to install the stock recovery and stock ROM a couple of time repeatedly to get it back to working state. Then, installed the CWM recovery and rooted the phone.
Cwm only worked once for me. Next time I went to used it it would say could not mount sd card or even the int. After reading on here there was a post about it and someone modified it so it would mount and could be used. Saved my ass lol

Hey, I'm not sure if this is allowed but does anyone have an .apk of the stock AOSP browser from Nexus devices? I had it on my S2 and it was so much more smoother than chrome but i can't seem to find it anymore. Thanks

Are you rooted and running a custom recovery? If so download that file(make note of where it at), boot into recovery ,go to install, and choose that file. Once it's done reboot and you should have ur browser in you're app drawer. If you're not rooted and running a custom recovery u will need a signed apk. to install normally.

I followed the steps in this guide yesterday for root. Step 2 was recovery load via Odin. I didn't have any issues.
