Stock AOSP Browser? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey, I'm not sure if this is allowed but does anyone have an .apk of the stock AOSP browser from Nexus devices? I had it on my S2 and it was so much more smoother than chrome but i can't seem to find it anymore. Thanks

Are you rooted and running a custom recovery? If so download that file(make note of where it at), boot into recovery ,go to install, and choose that file. Once it's done reboot and you should have ur browser in you're app drawer. If you're not rooted and running a custom recovery u will need a signed apk. to install normally.

If you can still use your USB port, I would recommend the link that Petrovski80 posted.
If you cannot use your USB port, then it is a bit trickier. You will have to:
1) Ensure you have root and a custom recovery;
2) Lock your bootloader using BootUnlocker
3) Flash the stock kernel in recovery
4) Flash the stock ROM (i.e, the /system folder) in recovery
5) Flash the stock recovery in recovery.
EDIT: I posted how to do this somewhere, but I can't remember where it is now. A quick search should find it.

I'm on the app as well. I'll post the link tonight.
Or you could use mobile Odin. I've never used it myself. Make sure you lock the bootloader first though.

Not packed the way it is, no. You need an Odin repack. Look in the dev section.

What the steps in your case should be, by my knowledge:
- Try extracting the .tar containing the actual img files by using an app like ZArchiver on your /sdcard
- Lock the bootloader using Bootunlocker app
- Reboot into recovery
- Flash appropriate img files
- Reboot into Android OS at least once so android will overwrite your custom recovery with stock
Disclaimer: none of this is tested, just theory.
If i can unzip it i think mobile odin can flash it i guess

[Q] not able to install system apps

I just recovered my Rom (not like it matters) and my phone won't let me install system applications. Any fix?

I am running Jedi mind trick x1 if That helps

Can you provide more details? When you say "install system apps" do you mean directly copying to /system/app ? Or installing a system apk through the package installer? Is root access working correctly for any/other programs? What exactly are you trying to install?

It was the file manager I was using, got a new one and it is now working

I don't think there is since you have to flash a zip file to actually root your system but you can always go back and install your stock recovery after your rooted
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
You can with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963812, but you won't be able to install any ROMs.
Thanks will look into it

Yes that link will work although i dont think there is a cspire version so youll have to use sprints. That said this will do what your asking as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2017470

Help with Alliance Rom?

I want to fladh this rom but im skeptical. Do I flash this via CWM?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app. As you see in the attatched picture, is there a difference between the downloads where it says Here or Here?
No difference just different hosts to download the same rom version. You will have to flash it through recovery either through cwm or twrp. But I usually recommend friends to go with twrp.

Where are you downloading from? From a browser it should be in the /downloads and from GooManager its just in /Goo (Downloads or Manager)
Your recovery has a choice for internal or external sd card.
