[Q] Netgear push2tv 3000 issues with android 4.3 - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I bought a netgear push2tv 3000 for 60$ in US. I am using this device in India. I was able to connect my phone to my Samsung LCD using the wireless display feature & netgear push2tv 3000 device.
I recently upgraded my phone to android 4.3 & since then am not able to connect my phone to my TV through the wireless display feature.
I tried upgrading the firmware of the netgear device to the latest version but no luck so far. My Samsung galaxy tab 510, which runs on android 4.2 works well with the netgear push2tv 3000 device.
Can someone help me with some tips & tricks? I believe that netgear hasn't released the firmware upgrade for Android 4.3.
Any support or help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks - Badri.

XDA2s vs. Socket SDIO +XDA2 wifi

I have tried out both the sdio wifi/xda2 and and xda2s and found that the socket xda2 combo had far better and more satble connections, has anyone elase confirmed this?
Can't confirm anything but I'm looking to buy either the XDA II or XDA IIs and would like to be able to use wifi on a regular basis and am obviously prepared to buy the one which gives me the best wifi reliability and throughput. What wireless access point do you connect to and have you got it to work successfully with wep?
I'm looking to connect up to a DLINK DWL2000 Does anyone know of any issues with this wireless access point and the XDA's? I know in the past there where a number of issues with DLINK 802.11g and the scandisk wifi card.

Netgear PTV3000 Optimus G Pro

Purchased Netgear Push2TV PTV3000 today at Best Buy despite many negative reviews because Netgear site demonstrated the product with Optimus G -figured it must work with my G Pro. Downloaded 2.2.16 firmware upgrade, extracted bin file and uploaded to the device. . . works great . .really not much lag and no stutter so far..
This has to be connected to the internet to talk to the device right? I don't have home internet but would love to be able to do wireless mirroring.

No, the device doesn't need to connect to the internet. However, the connection between the PTV3000 and the handset is through WiFi. Regular WiFi to get internet to work still works but WiFi Direct and WiFi hotspot will have to deactivated. I had a Samsung AllShareCast Dongle. It would only work with Samsung devices so I gave it to my sister. I bought the PTV3000 instead. It works with my Note 10.1, Galaxy S4, Nexus 4, and the Optimus G Pro.
Hi does the netgear device allow streaming of google play content? Cuz the price is noice

My router is dual band and I have not noticed any instability. I have not tried fixing the connection to 5GHz only though. (It's an AVM 7390)
I may try later.
only the n standard, not the newest ac standard (which is wifi in the 5 GHz frequencies) as far as i know (and the spec sheets i looked up)
Routers are usually downwards compatible, so thats why your note can connect I think
Mine connects to the 5Ghz spectrum just fine, though it's worth remembering the range is severely crippled compared with 2.4Ghz

.023? Would you mind to share the firmware file?
Hi there, my device is the RP WD-009. I have browsed all the threads here but only found very little on the topic of connecting this device to a Wifi Hotspot connection.
I am trying to connect to an iPhone 4G Wifi Hotspot. Is this possible using this device?
When I try and configure the Internet page for the router it does not discover more than two Wifi connections, and neither is my 4G Wifi Hotspot.
I can see the hotspot on my other devices but not on this device nor on my PC?
I've been in contact with Ravpower customer support and provided some screenshots but so far they haven't been much help. Thank you.

Strict NAT when using PdaNet on S9

I've been using PdaNet for a while now on my older Samsung phone and a few months ago I got the Galaxy S9 and Pdanet has been worse on it than before. As far as I know it's because of how the UPnP routing doesn't work on the S9 and how the software itself is at fault. I'm able to tether and get a connection with it, but I'm limited to a strict NAT and I'm wanting to make it open or moderate. The only solution I've seen so far is essentially using another computer as a router for the connection, but I've been unable to share mobile connection that way and would rather not have to buy a router if there is another solution to this issue. Thanks in advance
works on mine no issue. both Verizon and U1 version.
I have Sprint and the Samsung Galaxy S9, it worked fine on my older android
