[Q] Can I build 4.0.2.A.0.58 FTF from WotanClient downloaded files?

So there's a new firmware available in Hong Kong - 4.0.2.A.0.58. I've managed to download it with WotanClient and capture the downloaded files. They can be simply extracted with WinRAR. I now have a collection of files with extensions s01 to s09, and they seem to mirror .sin files from a FTF file e.g. system.s09, kernel.s04.
These files are of the size you'd expect from .sin files extracted from the FTF. I changed the extension to .sin and tried to convert to .img using SIN2IMG, but it fails.
Does anyone know if they are actually .sin files with a different extension, and can we build a flashable FTF file from these? I'm trying the bundle creator in FlashTool, but I wouldn't want to brick anyone's phone!

Yeah, I built the FTF with FlashTool, but it won't flash, just aborts at the beginning. Sorta figured it wouldn't work, as someone would've figured it out before!

Yea wotan usually gets the newest firmware right away and about a couple weeks later it'll filter out to the rest of the world through PC companion or update service

i think i bricked my R800

i think i bricked my R800...after flashing ICS beta using flash tools...n then flash tools says FAILED bla bla bla...system.img bla bla bla...partition to big...n then i tried to reboot...then nothing happen but when i tried to on the device it have vibrated...can anybody help me to unbrick?

Boot phone and go thru all the Setup Wizard blah blah
Ok, I would suggest you use a Custom ROM based on stock like XDarkICS or Markphyton's ICS or ICSPureness. You can find many custom ROMs in the Xperia Play Android Development section
Follow the instructions for that ROM

there is something i forget to tell...my r800 cannot reboot...cannot even do the hold the search button and plug in the usb cable...cannot turn on...

Redownload a ftf firmware. Open flashtool. Drag the ftf file to flashtool. Phone off, hold back button, plug in.

Oh wow, you may have to search the forums for unbricking your phone because I've seen "I bricked my phone" threads before. But try this:
Open Sony PC Companion on your computer
Click "Support Zone"
Click "Phone Software Update"
It's gonna say your phone isn't connected
Click "Repair my phone" or repar phone. Whatever it says
Follow the steps

PC companion has helped me many times but sometimes software update freezes half way through. If you google for xperia play update service that one works without fail

all i can see in the pc companion menu is
-how to connect
-update phone
-pc companion settings
EDIT: already done charging 4 hour...nothing happen to my R800i but the vibrate..colourful LED on the switch button also not appear,,,

okay done...i got red LED light...then what?...how to insert a rom...i just put a .zip rom file into sd card...n then when i want to install in cmw i currently cant find any zip file...why??...

Put zip file in any folder it should contain only that zip file and then flash

I also tried this and it really works for me. Even i also crossflashed xperia m dual jb 4.2.2 on my xperia m and everthing is working well except the youtube app.. The picture quality is pixelated

No the reason y Ur phone restart is because Ur phone is not fully rooted go on this thread and it will tell U how to

no every thing works fine,, i think the problem is in youtube app, i installed very old youtube official app and now its working absolutely fine

This is Stock Rom for Coolpad Dazen 1 which can be flashed using TWRP/CWM recovery.

it's not that we are not trying, infact u might not be knowing how hard its for fixing bugs, almost 100% than porting, we are trying, lack of source is the main problem i dont think sensor issues can be fixed with out lp build of cool ui from dazen

yes you are able to install ota updates after you installed new stock rom into your mobile but it should not be rooted.
