Hello i bought my N7105 on China. It works perfectly but my problem is that in Argentina i have only EDGE signal for Internet Not 3g.
I wish to know because i read a lot.. Because i think my celphone was europe version or korean version, never will know.
I think that the problem is that my UMTS is working on different bands ( 850 and 2100) and in Argentina we use ( 850-1900) so i Would like to know if it`s possible to install a N7100 south american modem to fix it, or what..
N7100 Firmware and Modems.
Just Modems N7100
Search for N7105 Modems (Haven`t Found Yet)
Or i can`t use 3G in Argentina.
Thanks anow Hope u can Help Me
I can Add in What bandwidth work our companies here.
Band V (W-CDMA 850)
Band II (W-CDMA 1900)
I think my company is working on 1900. Personal Argentina.
When i go to WCDMA only find Movistar. That they say works on the Band V. So i think my phone is only working on Band 850 and maybe 2100 also because i bought on Hong Kong.
Anyone can check with IMEI or something?
Is there any way to change the Band to Band II?
Thanks a lot
I need an answer please !! :good:
According to gsm arena, the n7105 is not compatible with 3G the 1900mhz band.
3G Network - HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100 - N7105
4G NetworkLTE - 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2600 - N7105
I know that it's not an easy suggestion but have you considered changing providers?
Cheers

N7105 can only support 850/2100mhz band,so if there is 1900mhz 3g band in your area, it will be a problem
I purchased the newly released UMI X2 Android phone. I am unable to use the TMobile 3G network. I am only able to use 2G/EDGE.
Voice and data quality are very bad, almost the phone is unusable. I spoke with T-Mobile and was informed that my modem does not support 1700 MHz and there are effort to re-farm TMobile network to support 3G on 1900Mhz but not set date yet. When I scan for available network I get three networks were available
T-Mobile 2G
AT&T 3G
AT&T 2G
Operating System: Android 4.2.1 OS
Processor: 1.2GHz MTK MT6589 quad-core processor
Connectivity Technology: GSM network & WCDMA - Standard SIM card
Network Band: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz & WCDMA 850/2100MHz
Data Technology: GPRS, EDGE, HSPA
Baseband version
MOlY.WR8.W1248.MD.WG.MP.V2.P1
I would appreciate any help to get my phone to work on 3G.

Did you make any progress with this? I recently purchased UMI X2, for use with T-Mobile UK. But have the same problem of not being able to connect to 3G networks - it works okay on 2G/EDGE.
I know the phone supports 3G on 2100MHz, and there's been some debate whether it supports 850/900MHz as well, but I've not found a definitive answer to that.
There's an operator in the UK (Hutchinson 3G UK Ltd) that only have a license for 2100MHz. So I was expecting the phone to work fine on their network- but no go... phone won't register on network at all - even though it shows in the available networks list.
I'm now searching to see if anyone else has been having problems - as it's beginning to look like faulty phone hardware - rather than trying to use unsupported frequencies...
acid meaand
I am still in the same situation, I am unable to use the 3G network for T-Mobile.
I am looking into getting 4G Wireless Hotspot modem $50 from the same carrier, use my SIM card on the modem, and use my UMI X2 as pure IP phone. There are many issues, but it looks promising.
Please keep me updated with any progress you make.

I have the same problem...
I have this same problem with a operator here in Brazil. Every 3G operator in Brazil, using 2.1GHz band, works fine except one: VIVO.
I can see the network when I click on "manual search", but the phone can't connect. My baseband is:
moly.wr8.w1248.md.wg.mp.v7.p1 2013/04/10 00:39
How can change this baseband to another? I tried to update firmware but unfortunately the newest firmware has the same baseband version.
firmware update will not solve the problem
Firmware update will not solve the problem. Until the manufacture identifies the problem and provides a solution, the problem is outstanding.
Beside the hardware has to be compatible and can support more frequencies which no one can confirm for the UMI or any other chines unlocked phones.
But, this is just my humble opinion.
I Found a solution (at least for me)
I think I found a solution for my problem. I flashed this very new (2013/07/17) rom, with a new baseband MOLY.WR8.W1248.MD.WG.MP.V7.F2.P1, 2013/07/10 23:14 that corrects 3G dropouts and disconnects. Now my 3g works find, with H and sometimes H+. Fast and reliable like it should be. The link for this new ROM is:
http://www.needrom.com/mobile/umi-x2-based-official-for-europeus/
Thanks for the update.
I have two questions.
1- There are two files in the link you provided UMI-X2-basedon_Official_250613.zip and UPDATE_UMI-X2-THB-ROM-based_on_Official_170713.zip. Which do use?
2- You mentioned the updated corrected 3G dropouts and disconnects, but do you know if the update have these frequencies to get 3G?
3G (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz)
HSPA+ 42
P.S
GSM/EDGE/GPRS (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) original specs

I used the file UPDATE_UMI-X2-THB-ROM-based_on_Official_170713.zip. It was based on the Official ROM from 07/17/2013, but I was unable to find the official stock version. This version has a very new bandbase that, supposedly, fixed the problem with 3G on some operators.
3G on Brazil is on 2100 MHz, sometimes on 850MHz but in my case the problem was on 2.1GHz band. Three WCDMA operators in Brazil, all in the same 2.1GHz frequency, work fine, but VIVO doesn't. Now, with the new rom, it works with no drop outs for over a day now.
no changes or additional frequencies
I successfully applied the update but no changes or additional frequencies
I have serious issues with HSDPA, t-mobile uk works but only on GPRS and it keeps dropping out. GiffGaff seems to work without dropping out. It has worked for a minute on HSDPA today but only once. Other than that t-mobile has been dropping out badly. GPRS works for a bit then it drops out. I have took an MTK modem log with MobileUncle Tools to see what it says but haven't looked at it yet. Trying to work out if it is a hardware issue or Baseband.
I get this from my X2 Radio Logcat:

Hi,
do you have a description and a photo of how you did it?
How long the Cu wire has to be? And where to connect it?
Many thanks in advance.
I am thinking of biying a Chinese version of this phone. The phone has specifications listed below. Can someone knowledgeable with T-mobile network comment on whether this phone will give me downloads up to 42Mbs?
Thanks

Those specs you posted are generic, not complete and hardly means anything
except for the bands and speeds. 95% of the specs are missing.
Most likely for a good reason........
I have seen so many posts from people who buy FAKE name brand phones and
expect it to be the real thing only to find out the OS is not even an android. LOL
Good luck!

Thanks guys. After doing more research, I came to the same conclusion.
Hello,
I have a D851 T-Mobile with Lollipop (D85120B) and I am unable to connect to WCDMA 850 or 1900Mhz bands. GPRS, EDGE and LTE work. If I select WCDMA only on the Mobile network screen, I lose signal and if I use the engineering menu ( 3845#*851#) to select WCDMA 850 I lose signal as well. GSM 850 (EDGE) and GSM 1900 (GPRS) on my provider (Fido/Rogers Wireless) works, however.
After I noticed this, I used QPST NV Editor to set the NV_RF_BC_CONFIG_I option to include all mobile bands. Unfortunately, I am still unable to get signal with HSPA. The phone support GSM 850 / GSM 1900 according to the box. Is this a firmware issue? Does T-Mobile firmware just not support HSPA?
Has anyone encountered this problem or come up with a solution?
Thanks in advance.
This is my problem:
In my country Venezuela we have 3 Network Carriers: 1) Digitel, 2) Movistar, 3) Movilnet
This networks work on this frequencies:
Bands 2G (GSM):
Digitel: 900Mhz
Movistar: 850Mhz
Movilnet: 850Mhz
Bands 3G - "AKA" - (WCDMA):
Digitel: 900Mhz
Movistar: 1900Mhz
Movilnet: 1900Mhz
Bandas 4G - "AKA" - (LTE):
Digitel 4G: Band 3 LTE 1800MHz.
Movistar 4G+: Band 4 LTE 1700/2100MHz ( 1700MHz for upload y 2100MHzfor download)
Movilnet: Band 4 LTE 1700/2100MHz ( 1700MHz for upload y 2100MHzfor download)
I swapped or shifted as you whish the logic board on my dead Samsung S3 I9300 for the logic board on a second hand broken screen one (same model in theory as said the sticker on the phone's back).
The phone woks fine at first trun on but when I do the Factory Reset this phone only can be connect to Network on band 900 Mhz for call and text and only as GSM (2G) with EDGE data connection.
with any other carrier sim card like Movilnet or Movistar, the phone can't be registered on network, but it recognize the carrier
This Android 4.2.2 System on this phone after the Data/Factory Reset said it was an I9300 model, so I try to flash ROM version for I9300 with unsuccessful results...
To make the long story short... the new logic board, after hitting my head on the wall several times, I realized that the new logic board belongs to AT&T model SGH-I747 and not to the I9300 as the sticker said, that's the reason why I can't flash the I9300 Rom Odin or WCM, so I do a ROM flash to the stock AT&T Rom I747UCDLK3 (Android 4.1.1) with the same network connection error, and them to AT&T stock Rom I747UCUEMJB for Android 4.3 same problem too...
So the problem this this phone is a cell network connection, as I previously describe...
please...
