Greetings TechRider,
I thought I would just share with you two quick links. First, is the post where I asked this same question, within the context of instructions for accessing the LG Hidden Service menu on phones, which is here:
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57173922&postcount=657
... and secondly, is the URL for a webpage outside of XDA, which provides all-too-common-terrible-English instructions for this on LG tablets, but which I could not get to work for myself (and admittedly, might not be applicable to the Gpad.7)
Code:
http://lge-phones.org/lg-gpad-8-3-lg-v500-hidden-menu-secret-code.html
Hopefully, someone will answer this post or my own, and we'll have our answer!
~p
ps. Here is a screen-cap of what I see when I attempted to follow the instructions at LGE-Phones.org (via the link above):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
HTML:
URL for ScreenShot: http://links.pjr.bz/Gpad-KeyPad
(Notice in my screenshot, the conspicuous lack of the dialer keypad, which the 'instructions' seem to presume.)

It Hide the SIM Contacts every reset,and
Works in hidden modality.
unfortunately you have to register to download...can you post here?
whats up cortez! didn't know you were on here too! (aznprid214 on hofo)
does this program take up resourses in order to hide? Currently i did the registry edit and used jayshidesim. anyone know if this is more or less resources than jaysim?
i doubt it... it's probably a cab file used to automatically make the "hide sim" registry edit. won't know for sure until i/we have an opportunity to try it.

How to re-install

Hey Guy/Gals,
I'm very new to this so bare with me.
I have an LG Optimus E971 from Rogers here in Canada. On the home screen the dock icons are unresponsive. However inside an app at the bottom of the screen the icons work. So I assume this is a software issue and wish to reinstall or re-inject the firmware into the phone. I'm looking a step by step how to on doing this, current version of is 4.1.2.
EXAMPLE:
-Dock icons (icons at very bottom of screen itself) are unresponsive.
-Landscape view works, as the icons move to the side of the screen
-Open app, Instagram, all buttons at bottom work (feed, explore, camera, news, profile).
Nothing? Just ads, huh
If you are not rooted and your bootlader is locked the best way to fix things in my opinion is to hard reset your device(to delete everything from inside that may couse the problem)install lg pc suite from lg and reinstall the phones firmware,this tool has an option to do this l've done it before. If you are rooted and your bootloader is unlocled just flash kdz and do a hard reset after.

Hey thanks for the response. I have done the factory reset and the phone is back to oem spec.
It is not rooted or anything, I will try the lg software I didn't realize I could use this to resintall firmware. I'll give it a shot and report back. Cheers
Good luck

Are you certain you're able to reinstall the firmware? All I see is that I can Backup/Restore and Update Firmware.
There's no where that says I can re-install the firmware. When I google it only picks up on firmware updates
Yes I am sure I did it my pc is down and I can't tell you exactly where is the option but I can tell you what I remember it's in the upper right corner next to help option or the other one probably and I think it says something about troubleshooting

If you still can't find it maybe you should update the program to the latest version

Camera application

What camera application is used in this LG G4?

Can someone host it somewhere?
LG uses their own camera app, and considering the G4 isnt even out yet, I don't think someone can upload it somewhere...
It's also not as simple as uploading the camera application and downloading it to a different phone, otherwise AOSP ROMs would offer it as an option.
Im not a LG user but maybe LG G3 has this app?

No, this is new for the G4
Sent from my "bigger is smaller" LG G3
So need to wait for premiere and for someone good who will share the app
Copy apk
I think you can copy this *.apk on system by way !
1) Determine the package name of the app, e.g. "com.example.someapp". Skip this step if you already know the package name.
adb shell pm list packages
Look through the list of package names on your system and try something with "camera" name
2) Get the full path name of the APK file for the desired package.
adb shell pm path com.example.someapp
The output will look something like this: package:/data/app/com.example.someapp-2.apk
3) Pull the APK file from the Android device to the development box.
adb pull /data/app/com.example.someapp-2.apk
Hope you success
I think the easiest way will be going to LG shop, check G4 and take the app from it

it's out, just not in your place. it's available on amazone and the likes, version F500L, watch the LTE frequency, they are incompatible for some

What are you talking about? I'm referring to the LG camera application on AOSP ROMs.
Given that the G4's camera has different hardware, there's no guarantee it will work on the G3.

Hi, unable to find bottom four. Only found 1/4. Screenshot:

Nothing below "System Update", that is the last package on the list. Nothing else to scroll to.
This is a Verizon Note 7. Anything else I need to disable?
Type in the name of the file where it says update (search bar).

Nothing.
Apparently 3/4 of those packages just don't exist on my Verizon phone...
I hope that means I'm safe.
Strange. Assume you've scrolled through to find it (alphabetical).

Yep, I've done that.
I'd be tempted to check the two System updates (which I don't have) in your post #5

HiddenMenuCall 1.7 APK broken? on Sprint LG G5?

Hi all
I'm trying to follow the guide to GSM unlock my LG G5 Sprint LGLS992 to use it with a Mintsim card but HiddenMenuCall apk only shows 5 entries out of the lots I remember I saw once. I attach my phone info along with the screen I get from HiddenMenuCall.
How can I access the missing entries? like IOT(CDG2) in order to try to GSM unlock my phone?

Thanks a lot! yes, that was my fear I'm basically stuck now with a point and shoot camera that can run Android apps. Is not even worth reselling it since price has go so down.
I wont buy a Sprint device ever again.
