[Q] Can we use DashClock on MK4? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Title says it all. I've installed DashClock on my phone running MK4, but can't figure out how to enable it. Any ideas?
Edit: nevermind, I realized it only works if you set your lock screen to "swipe". I was using pattern lock before.

Cool. My Note II should arrive next week and I use DashClock. Now I won't wonder how to make it work.

I found an xposed plugin that allows you to keep your pattern lock and use Dashclock at the same time.

Does your phone flash the desktop before showing the lock pattern?

This happens around 90% of the time when I'm using WidgetLocker. If I turn the display on, it'll show the widgetlocker screen, i unlock the WL screen, then it'll flash the actual homescreen for ~0.5secs then it'll show the lock pattern i set up. I recall this happening before without using WidgetLocker as well.
I'm currently unrooted and running stock (soon... rooted will be done soon.) and have seen the same thing using the TW Launcher.
Kinda makes you wonder how secure that lock really is, doesn't it?

[Q] disable lock screen

hey everyone. I have a question. I searched but didn't see what I was looking for in this phone forum. I got the N2 on Friday, came from the epic touch. I was running Easy Profiles on the e4gt and wanted to use it again on the N2. Well, I am still am for sound changes. But one of the main reasons I use EP is to disable the lock screen when I was at home and enable it when I was not at home. I know jellybean broke EPs capability for this. So... my question is... what else can I use? I don't mind using a widget but the auto changer with EP was awesome! (and once they fix it, I'll go back to that primarily I'm sure) I've tried no lock and no lock screen. neither disable the lock screen. I've tried all 3 apps with my systems settings as slide to lock, lock with pattern and no lock. it's just not doing what I want it to and I'm at a loss. if I set the system lock to any type of lock, no lock and no screen lock wouldn't keep it unlocked when it was engaged. if I changed the system settings to no lock, the 2 apps wouldn't lock it. easy profiles has 2 different options with the lock screen and I've tried multiple variations with that too. does anyone have any suggestions? ideas? apps to try? I am currently downloading a few ROMs to try out but I'm thinking it's a jellybean issue and not a stock rom issue.
I was in the exact same boat and loved EasyProfiles.
I started using Tasker yesterday and checked out: http://tasker.wikidot.com/profile-index
I still at noob at it but managed to disable the pattern keyguard.
Now I think it is a JB limitation but Tasker ability to disable kerguard stops once you chose something in the Notification bar.
Check it out, what they say about it true. Tasker is awesome and I'm only now learning how great it is- like automating talking SMS when in the car. EasyProfiles couldn't do that.
thanks. I'll look into it again. I downloaded it last night but uninstalled because I didn't see what I was looking for and didn't have the brain capacity to figure it out!
Try this for starters:
Profile "Unlock wifi" - State -> Net -> wifi connected
Task "Unlock"- Display -> Keyguard -> off
I used that to work yesterday and will play/learn more today.
Like I said though, accessing the notifications makes it lock again so I toggle the wifi off/on to make Tasker disable keyguard again.
I installed secure settings from the market, disabled everything but pattern lock in it. then went back to easy profiles, set locale app as secure settings and so far it's working.

[Q] Note 2 Automatically bypass lock screen

Hey guys, recently (today 1/28) i noticed my galaxy note 2 automatically bypasses the lock screen whenever the screen wakes up (so no ripple effects, and i have no lock or pin or pattern set, so just a swipe would work). So I tried setting up a pattern lock, and similar thing happens. The phone would wake up, go to home screen for a split second, then returns back to the lock screen with the pattern lock.
I was wondering, does anyone know whats wrong with this?
Extra information: I used to have GO launcher on it with their custom lock screen. However, I uninstalled everything already, so that shouldn't be a problem.

it's Go Locker... it's not the best lock screen replacement... you should turn off the go locker lock screen and turn on the stock one. Clear defaults on Go Locker and set it to just Go Launcher and enable the original lockscreen after disabling Go Locker

but I have already cleared w/e data that Go Locker has and then uninstalled it. So i doubt that Go locker is causing my lock screen bypassing problem, unless it was some sort of glitch from when i had it (i used it for 2 days)

I tried rebooting, removing battery, rebooting without SD card. So far nothing works. Odd thing is that, during the early part of reboot when the widgets are not fully loaded yet, this problem don't exist. But when the widgets are fully loaded, this problem returns
I am using stock and for like less than a half of a second that happens. Nothing u can really do with it.

Problem is completely solved now. Apparently, it is the result of a bug/glitch in a chinese music streaming app that I got from Google play. Also, thanks to everyone that replied to this.

I had the same problem, I had the "Lock instantly with power key" unchecked, however the phone still locks it right after I push the power key no matter how long I set the lock time. Then I found out that whenever I have the Kugou Music running, it does that. So as long as you quit the program when not listening music, you are fine.
And there's actually one setting on Kugou Music that override the lock screen.

[Q] Lost the ability to customize lock screen shortcuts

I have no idea what I would have done to cause this but I seem to have lost the option to customize my lock screen shortcuts from the lock screen settings menu. I know I had the option even earlier today but now it's just gone. I've been running SkyDragon 0.0.5 for weeks now and I can't think of anything else I would've changed that would have made the option disappear. I should probably also mention that I'm running Xposed with the lock screen disabler module but I've also been running that for quite a while. I can still see the lock screen shortcuts that I had previously set up, but now I can't change them.
Anyone have any ideas?
Anyone?

[Q] screen lock/unlock switcher for lollipop

Hello all you lovely people I recently upgrade to LP and now the switcher I used on KK isn't working. I used Easy Profiles to switch my lock screen from "none" to "pattern", also used security settings to make it work. It has other features but what I'm looking for is a profile manager that will change the lock screen based on my location/wifi/whatever. EP turned off my lock screen when I connected to my home wifi and turned on the pattern lockscreen when I left my wifi. I could also easily tap a profile and it would change the settings then. I've tried several profile managers (sorry I can't remember them all... basically if you search "profile manager" in the play store, I tried it) and none manage the lock screen. Does anyone have any suggestions? I went to the EP webpage and they aren't planning on development for LP at this time

I tried llama before I found easy profiles, I found it difficult to understand/navigate. I tried it again recently and it wasn't switching the lock screen when switching profiles. I'm beginning to wonder if it's not a 5.0 limitation. It was a limit with 4.4 (I believe that was the build) and the work around was to install security settings and set a few items. That worked in conjunction with EP to show/hide the lockscreen

LP has built-in profiling called "trust agents" that will do just that. It basically allows you to set a trusted location based on wifi/bluetooth/NFC using the trusted agents in "security" within settings on the stock LP ROM with Touchwiz. I have mine set to only use my lockscreen when at home and to use the secure lock screen with pattern/fingerprint/pin/password when anywhere else. I hope that helps.
I'm not on a stock ROM. I looked under security>trust agents but it's greyed out and I can't select it. And so is "smart lock". I'm running "BOB7V3Final ROM
