Insufficient storage - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Can't find what is taking up all my internal storage. Can I wipe it all or will I screw it up more
Rom backups! 10gb

Nothing shows it using anywhere near that amount

I had same problem. When I flashed a different rom and reset factory data it cleared all that up. I'm guessing I had corrupt data. Also gained space by going in recovery and " delete unused backup files" I think that's what the category was called.

If you want to clear everything up, which is something I like to do routinely to keep everything running smoothly, you can use Odin and flash a stock tar file. Just stay away from the stock 4.3 that has Knox. Flashing back to 4.1.2 is your best bet.

Try checking the amount of space you have
Even if you have enough you might get stopped because the is doesn't like the storage to get full
Also try installing from the desktop browser version of the android market

[Q]How to use link2sd to get more internal storage.

I've linked all my apps to my sd card but my internal storage still shows what's left from the basic 150mb and I partitioned my sd card for 1gig ext 4. And I don't know what's wrong

It's normal, the system is unable to recognize the partition of external memory for this always shows 150 mb of free memory

SO I can download any app regardless of size

Yes, but you may wanna keep in mind that link2sd doesn't move cache to sd and linking needs space too. I usually integrate davlik cache into rom by titanium backup so that i don't face any storage issues.
Yes. There no rules !!!

ApkMania should have it. You may either need Lucky Patcher or a Cracked Google Play

Sd card

I should have more storage space than I do. Is my sd card being doubled with the sdcard0 thing that happens when flashing ROMs?

I don't think so. you should always wipe the whole system before flashing a new Rom. Also if you have a lot of nandroids stored, that takes away a lot of space. I recommend do a full wipe, format system and then flash your new Rom just to make sure all of the old Rom its gone:good:
Gotcha. Forgot about the nandroid I'd made. That would explain the space issue. Thanks for the response.
Install "disk usage" from the market. It will analyze your storage usage and show you what is using your storage.

Here's a screenshot of what disk usage found. Seems to me like my media was doubled, but I could be wrong. Any idea?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
It's not doubled, you just have +4GB in your music folder and +2GB worth of CWM backups.

Insufficient storage available

On two different roms, after everything working normally for weeks, whenever i try to install an app it says insufficient storage available. Plenty if space left on my phone and the apps are not big at all. Any ideas?

Sorry to say I did have this problem but alas I forget how I fixed it. I was about to wipe and start over but before I got that desperate I figured it out. . Hmm not sure maybe something to do with ROM tool box. .Do you use that?

Try going into recovery and wiping cache.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
No dice on wiping cache. Yeah i use rom toolbox...

Yes in rom toolbox had to change the default app install location to AUTO

Just to make sure, you don't see /0 anywhere? If not it sounds like starting over using LGFlashtools might be you best option. Use it to get stock, reroot then flash. Sometimes this gives you the confidence to flash other roms because you have gotten comfortable in knowing you can start over anytime.
