Stock Note 2 pie control - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Ok. I don't know what exactly it's called but I think it's what people refer to as "pie control". I'm not talking about the App but a setting/option that's in the Note 2 -although I know it's not the same as the Note 3's one. I once saw it on Youtube (how to switch to it) many months back and tried it for a couple of days on my phone. I've been trying to figure out how to switch to it again but I can't remember how. I've searched the net up and down and youtube but I can't find it. A guy I know says the Note 2 doesn't have it. I know it does and I tried it like I said. Could someone please tell me how to do it?

It's called LMT Launcher.
Search for it on XDA.
You must be rooted for it to work.

I made sure in my question to make it clear I wasn't talking about an app that you download but a setting from within the Note 2. So, anybody knows what I'm talking about?

No, never heard of that. I don't think we have it natively.
I might be wrong, but you probably played a little bit with LMT Launcher and
you forgot about it being a separate app.
Other than that I can't help you.
Also, your appreciation toward me trying to help you, is duly noted.

She right and no root...it came with a note 2 update...i still have it on my note 2 but i wanna know how to get it on my note 4

No...NoteII is not officially released it but I have read here that it is available for pre-order online....
Is the 64 GB version going to be a release model, or will it release way later like it did with the S3?
Is there an SD card port?
How much is the SPen?
How mod friendly is the Note? By this I mean I suspect it's basically the same as the S3 but do the mods do a good job of incorporating the pen?
What are some good apps that are optimized for something like the Note as opposed to other android phones?

I think 64gb version will be released late as Sammy has been doing for ages...
Yeah....it has a external microsd cars slot.
Spen for note was around $100 here in India 3months back. But since note2 has a different spen,I suppose it can only be said when Sammy puts it on sale...
By mod,do you mean custom roms???if so,if the rom is based on stock rom,it will be fully compatible. But if the rom is AOSP,you will miss all features of spen but still you can use it as a normal stylus.
You can find all spen optimized apps in samsung's s-choice app.

Someone has a temper today! Just posting a link isn't too hard, isn't that easier than being a ****?
First off, the OP never said they wanted the flash apk. They wanted to know how flash preformed on the Optimus G. All the other posters talked about it performing on other phones. I gave a little insight about flash not being on newer phones and that you would have to find the apk. Yes saying that if you don't know how to find it then you shouldn't be on here might have been harsh. But it sounds like your are a little butt hurt. It's ok. There is a thing called the search button that usually will provide anyone with a multitude of answers. I could provide a link but, couldn't you have done the same thing rather than coming on here and calling names? Or maybe it's because you yourself don't know how to find it.

If you aren't smart enough to know that asking the original question doesn't necessarily mean I don't know the apk can be found through a search, then you don't belong. ..anywhere
Yknow it is possible someone had gone through the trouble of installing the apk since this phone has been out longer on carriers other than Sprint.
Grow up, sheesh.

I installed and tested... and as usual - it works ok. I only really use it for one site anyway- tiltview.com

You might be able to find the APK somewhere or extract it from an ICS rom from another device. I use Beautiful Widgets from the Play Store. There are a lot of different options and themes you might like. I enjoy having the three shortcuts directly from the "superclock" itself. Click on the weather part and it brings up the weather app, the clock brings up the clock, and the date brings up the calendar. This way it saves space on my home screen. You can also have the temperature displayed in the status bar, which I like a lot.
I have a not so stupid/stupid question.
I want to root and flash a custom rom just like I have on every other phone....But I like the Note II. I only want it to be free of all the bloatware and be a little quicker with better battery life... But I still want the complete functionality I have now, including the SPEN. Any suggestions.

Try to install it, it should be an apk
Even if it doesnt work, it wont brick your phone or anything because its just an app. Its mostly flashing things incorrectly or corrupted packages that will do that

Yes, you will trip the Knox flag, currently no method to reset it. TWRP is fine, just do some reading about restoring backups.. If done incorrectly, you will experience what's been coined "The Brickloop"

Just root it using Odin and Chainfires auto-root method, I'm not familiar with the custom kernel as yet, so I won't comment on that. Once you root, you still keep all stock functionality, just have administrative rights, so to speak. If you're not too familiar with rooting, flashing, etc.. I wouldn't recommend starting right now with the Note 3, still early in the aftermarket development stage..

Considering all of the challenges that people have faced with Fierce bootloops - and for a while no way way to fix them, this is a situation where you would do very well to do some reading before you do anything. There are two root methods currently both are outlined in the Original Android Development Section for the TMOBILE NOte 3 - you can download everything you need from there - and I think it would be very helpful for you to read thru what others have done and experienced before you do anything - then you can make your own decision about which root method is best for your needs.
I don't mean to sound sanctimonious or anything but if there ever was a time that reading thoroughly first was a good thing to do - this is one of those times..good luck

What did my post have to do with your asking for a link? Well, I didn't want to be this direct but If you simply opened the Original Android Development thread and took less than a minute to read, you wouldn't need to ask for a link. You would see that there were two threads available that offered details that would give you exactly what you wanted. Two different ways to root.
In fact, in less time than it took you to write your post and wait for an answer, you would have had exactly what you were looking for.
My response to you was a gentle reminder that reading is a good thing.

I am sorry you felt I was ridiculing you. That was not my intent at all. THis forum is loaded with people who have have had major issues when flashing a recovery which is often the next step after rooting - there are more reports of people who have had to return their note 3 to TMOBILE than I can remember seeing on a single phone in a very long time. My Suggestion for you to read was purely intended to help you - it is easy to let others do the work for you - when often trouble could have been avoided by being more educated. What struck me as odd was the fact that it was so easy to find the link you were looking for - if you only opened one section of the forum in the Original Android Development you would have found it. But that is besides the point.
My comments were always supportive - and intended to help you. Period. I am sorry that you are so caught up in the " I want what I want when I want it "- that you can't see that. XDA is a forum designed for people to learn more about their phones and to ultimately try to get more out of them than you can get in a Stock phone...I have been in your shoes before and done exactly what you did when asking for a link - and have gotten a similar reply to the one I gave you. I am grateful it happened to me because it forced me to take a step back - do a little reading - learn more about the challenges others have faced and in the end, avoid those same problems myself.
Once more, I am Sorry you feel I was ridiculing you - couldn't be farther from the truth - I wish you well and hope you enjoy your NOTE3. Have a nice day my friend.

I may be wrong but I thought that using that option in Wanam Exposed was cosmetic only. It changes that to Official in Settings - but doesn't really effect how your phone is recognized as being 'altered" - LIke I said, I might be wrong, but that is what I heard.
