[Q] Pattern Error (URGENT !!! ) - LG Optimus G Pro

My friend tried too many patterns on my device WHILE it had no connection (wifi or mobile data) and now i get an pattern error and can't authenticate my gmail account. Without factory reset what can i do about that? (URGENT ANSWER NEEDED !!! )

Urgent? Oh, let me ask on XDA and let someone search me the answer instead of searching it myself, that`ll definitly go faster
1 word: ADB

Delete the account, and then reconnect the account should get everything back to normal.
Personally I find it easier to just answer questions sometimes then rip somebody for asking them, kind of the point of the community in the first place to learn stuff and get help when you need it.

Extra Security

How can I prevent my phone from being answered and displayed, unless a password is provided?
The current security, only prevents you from using the device, but if there is an incoming phone call, you are able to SEE it and ANSWER it.
Thanks
switch it off in comm manager then lock your device
LOL that would be a solution but i prefer to have the phone on.

By the time you put in your password, the caller will have been directed to voicemail.
You can try "slide 2 unlock"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353008
It is showing your incoming calls too but you can set it to use the slider to answer this call.
You can still answer the phone with S2U on. Why would you want to do this anyway?
As one of the contributors has said, by the time you had entered a password to answer the phone the caller would have dropped off. Boyfriend/girfriend trouble perhaps?
WB
You Guys are incorrect about the call going to voicemail before entering the password. My Motorola Razor, has this type of security built in.
You cant view the caller, answer it or do anything with the phone until you put in the password. I put my phone down alot and people have a habit of answering my phone.
I got a question also about the security
I ONLY want to lock my sms/email/mms with a pass..
Most phones can do that but windows mobile not..
Help?
i guess no one knows how to do this
have you googled?
this one may fit the bill, I especially like the hard reset option, loads of fun to be had by finding ya mates device entering the password incorrectly a few times and then forcing a hard reset

All Hardware Buttons Become ‘Disabled’ While Device is Locked.
that program is no good, it still allows incoming phone calls to be displayed and answered while device is locked
is there any kind of help out there
Did you try the magical "SILENCE" function ? activated it, then no one will know when your phone is Ringing or new SMS are coming EVEN you left the phone at the meeting room . And the BEST of it, YOU CAN LEFT THE PHONE ON !!! ( Like I do when I'm sleep or at the gym).
i want to hear the phone but if i chose not to pick up, then i wont. The whole point of security is soo OTHERS cant get to your phone.
always put your phone in your pockets
ughhhh someone got to know
Hmmm ... sounds like what you're seeking is a very personal enhancement that nobody using a WM device has needed until now. If nobody has offered a usable suggestion, and you can't find anything with an Internet search, then, as I see it, you have only two options:
1) Go get that Razr
2) Take advantage of WM's extensibility, and write your own cutomized app. You can do it in PPL or MS C++ ... maybe a few other languages. If you do a good job, you might even be able to make a few bucks on it

How to auto hard reset if stolen?

Is there a way to auto hard reset the device if for example the pin is entered incorrectly 5 times? Or any other way to hard reset the device if stolen?
Thanks
Rakam
is it your pda.... search the forum and maybe you get lucky
if it's not your pda i can only say one thing:
DON'T STEEL OTHER PEOPLES STUFF!!!
There are several program's which are intended to protect your mobile when they are stolen. Not sure if there's a function like the one you mention. But there are programs which are able to send a sms with the gps location unnoticed. Use google to find it.
kuilbop: If you read again my question, I believe you'll understand the PDA is mine... Regarding the search I had already done so, but with no luck...
Bart1981: Thanks for the reply! I think that If a PDA is stolen or lost there is too many information on it - like all contacts, mails, schedules, home location (GPS), personal photos and videos, personal and professional files, etc
I really think that the hard reset feature if the pin is entered incorrectly too many times should be a default on all devices.
So, anyone can help?
Rakam
Bearing in mind, how ****ed off would you be if you got drunk one night and forgot your PIN?
You would lose everything, just for the sake of a few drinks? :S
A program like which you are requesting would just be pointless
Not exactly what you want, but check Sprite Terminator. It does a remote wipe etc.
Hi
Have just had an Email from HTC about HTC mail.
This appears (at first glance) to have what you need
Thanks Dave

wifi router port forwarding

My first thread here. Any Way I apologize if I missed something in my searching around bout I have Energy Rom on my TP2 and I was wondering if there was a way to configure port forwarding. at least for port 443 to my laptop. I run an exchange server on my laptop and would like to be able to get the sync working even when I am not at home. plus allow my friends to be able to access services from my laptop when I am away from home. As a side note does anyone know hoe to get Exchange server to sync or backup all of the txt messages on my phone not just the recent ones? If you do it would be a great help! I am in the process of working with Android on my phone and switch back and forth and that's why I am using Exchange to sync data between them. I hate having half the conversation in one OS! I am willing to experiment I am backing up with PIM Backup but want to be able to view my entire archive if I need to with without having thousands of messages on my phone. Slows it down just a little
P.S. I am on Boost's network which is run by Sprint. Wasn't sure if that mattered.
P.P.S. Dear Mods I just noticed I accidently posted in the wrong section. Please forgive a noob poster. I looked for a way to move it but did not see one. If you would be so kind to either move it or please let me know how I can.

Pulling contacts from bootlooping phone?

Hi there, first off i'm new to the forum here And second, since i've been reading many threads on here before and seen
experienced members and what not i thought you people could help me on the way here with my problem.
The problem is that i can start my phone but it always keeps looping at the CM logo so i can't get it to start fully.
And since i have a new phone on the way i thought i would ask you guys if it would be possible to pull my contacts
from my phone even though i can't start it fully? Since i don't have the option to save a contact to the sim-card when
adding a new contact i have been forced to save to the phone. I know i could have synced it with a google account
but sceptic as i am i do not trust those stuff.
I hope i gave you guys enough information of my problem, if not then please do ask if you want to know something.
Thanks in advance
TheInsidiousX
Have you backed them up somehow? In .vcf format? If not then there is no other way to restore them.......you should have backed you contacts on your google account,it saved me a couple of times

I'm going to venture a guess here and suggest that the reason she took your phone might have something to do with what you've been doing with it. I'm not accusing you of anything necessarily, but parents always try to protect their kids. Maybe it's time you have a conversation with your mother and try to understand what her concerns are. You may not completely understand now, but some day when you have kids of your own, you will.
As a more direct answer to your question, no - unless you already have remote access set up on your device, there's no way to access it. There are certain apps such as Google Find My Device which will wipe the device remotely but again it has to be set up and authorized on the device in the first place.
Again, my advice here is to sit down with your mom and hear her out. If you're not an adult, she has the right to know what you're up to, and if you're trying to hide something from her, it's probably because you know you shouldn't be doing it. She loves you and she wants you to be safe, and my own personal experiences with text messages as a teenager means she probably has every right to be worried.
