MMS - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi,
I have a question about MMS. To send my mms I must turn on manually my data and I can't receive any mms if my data is off. I have this issue with all ROMs except SlimBeam. On Slimbean,no need to turn on manually the data, it's automatic.
Someone is able to explain me..why ? Why Slimbean is so special ROM ? I can't solve this issue and I can't understand baucause the APN settings are the same on all ROM.
Thanks.

Never had a problem myself. Check and recheck you entries, you are probably missing something simple like a comma instead of a period.

[Q] Losing cell service every few minutes

Every few minutes, predictably, my cell service just goes completely out. I still have 4G/3G/Wi-Fi or whatever I happen to be connected to, but I can't make calls or send texts and it says "Emergency Calls Only" when I try to.
I'm running Liquid Smooth 4.2.2 and the KT747 Kernel, but this problem has persisted no matter how many ROM/Kernels I try and no matter how many times I wipe and reflash. I've tried every modem posted in this thread and none of them solved the problem. I'm using the default AT&T Phone APN, but I have the same issue if I use the PTA APN or the LTE APN. If it's an APN issue, does anyone know the proper APN to solve it?
Anyone else having a similar issue or know what could be causing it? I'm stumped. Thanks!
To rule out hardware malfunctions, flash back to stock.
Is your IMEI intact?

1.Is your IMEI intact? Restore it..
2.So you do have your IMEI? I suggest first trying to flash a modem
3. That doesnt work? Go back to stock rooted and see if it even works there.

APN Not Working Properly - SlimBean 4.3

'Sup, chaps!
I'm lovin' the SlimBean 4.3 ROM, but I have a slight problem.
I've set the APN for MMS ONLY usage with data, but the ROM doesn't register this.
What do I mean? When the APN is set for MMS ONLY, the data shuts down, meaning the 3G/H+/4G icons don't show.
Does anyone know to properly set the APN so data isn't on at all times in this ROM?
Any help is appreciated!

I cant make or recieve phone calls but everything else works even my wifi number work

3 days ago after getting new apn setting for metropcs, when i rebooted my phone it stopped making and receiving calls
APN settings affect data access, not calls.
Is the imei properly displayed from the dialler? Was the ROM changed or altered?

yes the imei is properly displayed from the dialer. im not sure if rom changed or altered. how do i check
The simplest solution would be to flash back to a stock rom using Odin; however, flashing the stock rom may require you to perform a factory wipe before booting the stock rom for the first time.

APN settings missing.

When I first got my phone, I could send and receive MMS just fine, but now I can't. I've flashed a couple Roms, CyanogenMod 12.1 and Viper One M9 3.5.0. MMS stopped working when I had VOM9, but I'm not sure what went wrong. I've since reverted to my stock RUU, hoping it would fix it, but no. I heard you could change APN settings, but there is no such thing under my Mobile Data settings. What do I do?
I'm on 2.6.512.17 S-On
Settings - mobile data - access point names
Or call your carrier and ask them to send it to your phone.
