Bumping your topic won't speed up the process of getting answers.
Best solution is to browse around in the Development section, read the changelogs, features, user reviews etc.

If you want to try ICS i will suggest you to use ultimate hd rom but ics is not good firmware. You can try latest 4.2.2 roms. those are stable now.

Best Rom Sony Arc s Lt18i

Hello guys, I wanted to root my sony ericsson Arc s Lt18i, I realize little of the subject, since'm through to those searching the forum a bit but I had many doubts.
What is the best is the best ROM for my phone (CM9.1)?
I have the bootloader unlocked and have version 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431).
How do I root?
I'm afraid of making blunders ...
Thank you guys.
Read one of the other numerous threads asking the same question.

As XperienceD said search around for similar threads. The best ROM is: the one that suits you're needs, see what each ROM as to offer and then decide...
Following the original question.. The led notification problems on the stock ICS Rom has been solved in some custom Rom?

hi mate
the best rom for arc/arc s will be jellysandwhich rom with xarc kernel
smoothest and the lightest
almost all hd games smooth and it roxx
i've been using jellysandwich, but with latest update, and the apps2sd auto support, that doesn't work, i can't use link2sd, so pretty bad. JJ Hybrid, it's kind nice, but the keyboard on browser lags as hell
so far I know the best rom is Xperia Ice Bean 4.2n by jader see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786871 and his working on new projects called Xperia Ice Bean X , still with some bugs, but he is working on themhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863036
This is definitely a matter of opinion, but I always feel at home and also feel I get the most out of my device in terms of customization, theme wise and hardware tweaking in general with CyanogenMod.
I'm currently running CM9 and I have no issues, battery is great, no choppy performance issues and with theme choose, everything looks great to the eye.

If you don't care about graphical user interface ,defintely JJ hybrid rom is great (fast - compatible with games - has ROM control as well) ,few bugs though like wifi hotspot http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1537717
If you care about having nice user interface with reasonable game performance with lots of free ram available you can try Jelly sandwich http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1836993 or the Remix http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1884958
Also Xperia Purness worth a try as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1788701
For the Kernel i always advice to use stock kernel in order to avoid battery drain issues.

I'm using JELLY SANDWICH 6.1 with arc night kernel. I think you should try this ROM. This ROM has already rooted.
If you want a ROM with stability, you shoud try Arconium ICS 4.0.

Rating Rom Thread

As-salam-o-alikum,
Hi guys,
I just want to know about different custom roms and before the installation i need to know three things about it
Stability
Appearance
Performance
This thread can help all the users who are going to try or install new custom rom,
So,
Please rate the rom you are currently using in these three categories from out of 10 how much you give and the name of rom of course.
I think you got my point.
Thank you.
Using DebianDroid on S5660 Gio
No, rating and comparing roms is rude to the developers.

yup,
m agree with u,
but is there any other way to know about custom roms before installation?
because its difficult to install n check every rom.
Screenshots, specifications of the rom, reading other's replies what they are facing issues with the rom they're tesing/using and much more.
Check comments.
m doing the same thing,
but still long process,
ok then there should be all in one thread which describes every rom,
its screen shots, specifications, also its completed or wip

cm7/gingerbread = stable
ics = stable but not as stable as gingerbread
jb= stable, but experimental and not bugfree.
base every rom on wich android version its based on.
stability, battery and features are different in my opinion:
stability>battery>features. more important>less important
gingerbread is most stable andbest for battery, but less features.
ics is balanced. stable and features, but not as good with battery then Gingerbread, and not as good with features as jellybean
jellybean is the less stable, but has the most features. less battery though.

[Q] Fastest-most stable-nicest custom ROM ?

Hey Guys,
I have been using cyanogenMod 10 Jb but i kinda feel like i need to change to another better ROM(dont care if JB or ics but NOT GB)... i want a ROM that is stable, Very Fast (i cant live with a lag) and nice... any recomendations ?
Please do not clutter the forums with threads like this.
All of the ROMs are special in it's own way. Try the ones available and stay on the ROM that suits you the best.

Best stable JB Rom?

Hi, im kinda new here I haved tried some JB roms but im not 100% satisfied... lot of random crash/reboot and battery life is not that good...
soo I would like to know what is the best "stable" and "battery life" JB rom atm?
You may be new, but please take you time to read the stickies before you post threads like this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2097137
There is no such thing as "Best ROM". Your best ROM is determined by yourself as different people have different opinions on different ROMs. Go to the development section, pick a ROM and try it out, although JB ROMs are limited to CM10 based ROMs only.
Mod, please close thread.

Suggestions

I have an arc s with cm10 and its a bit laggy i want to have android 4.4.
Which onw of those roms you suggest me.
I need stable one which dont get laggy after using it alot.
If android 4.4 have little problems it can be 4.3 too.
And its not a
"which is the best rom "
Thread.
Thx
Try to find your self which is good for you . But since you asked, try VanirAOSP 4.4.2 .
I believe this fits you best - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2097137

Plzz i do not ask for fastest/best rom, but for stable one with less bugs. The arc s is for my bro , so i cant choose one of these billions of roms, because i cant try every rom. Its not my phone.
I know the rules of xda!!
There is no stable KitKat ROM, they all have certain flaws still.
And all ROMs become slow over time. If you wish to join the custom ROM world, you have to learn to maintain ROM's speed and efficiency.
