I am starting a research to help me decide which rom i should flash.
I am looking for a stable build where most of funcionalities are working so as apps.
I am willing to make a very minimalistic interface, and thats why i thought about MIUI 4.0 but is this ROM stable?
Let me know the rom you use and whats working or not so as the compatibility and any other usefull information i may need.
Thanks in advance.

Pretty much all of the ROMS are stable.. lol Its hard to decide though.. I would go with the 'lightest' ROM personally.. atm I am on modoco custom.. waiting on the kernel to be finished. As for app comparability that's tough lol. Cyanogenmod7 has a lot of apps however Modoco custom has the most I believe. It is extremely stable. I would not go to ICS unless you reallyreally want to.. just because of the new kernel when that's done it will be perfect

You mean that ICS kernel is not stable at the moment?
How about MIUI 4.0 ics?
What are the advantages of this modoco rom over the stock one?

Not all the Roms are stable and functional... There are a lot of things broken on CM9 and ICS. CM9 reloaded for example has numerous issues with connecting and charging as well as battery life. I would suggest stock until CM9 or ICS is fixed if you need an everyday.
Hi,
I have been looking for the latest MIUI Rom with GB not ICS. I have tried looking in the obvious places.. any idea?
Thanks.
Your best bet is to look in the MIUI site. No real MIUI development is done here

Thats what I have been doing, but I cant seem to find which version is the latest, only by date with description whether they are ICS or GB ROMS. I think they are no longer updating their GB ROMS so thats why I wanted the most stable.
I would start topic on their forums but for some reason the email confirmation never reaches me.

They stopped deving for gb. Ics is being worked on. The dates are when the rom was released. Bliind is working on an ics miui which you can find in the dev section. From there it will take you to miui.us.

Try Sci Muiu... Thats a really good one. :victory:
hi,
i know asking what rom is better is not a good questions as it is different for different people. However, I just want to know what is the most stable, so once I flash it i dont need to keep re flashing.
I am ussualy a fan of CM and when they get stable releases I flash them and then dont need to think about it anymore. on my previous samsung galaxy S I used the CM9 RC for a long time until the stable CM9 came out and then used that.
currently there is not stable CM10 and when it comes out I will probaby use it perminently.
What JB rom can i install that will be stable to use for the next months until CM10 stable comes out?
im using stock JB right now.
stock.

ok i understand. but i guess the main things im lacking on stock is percent battery, ability to alter the navigation bar at the bottom, adding shortcuts to the lock screen slider, and themes.
is there any way to do that on stock? if not any other rams as clock to stable as stock
stock
BAMF has been great. Not a ton of updates as there aren't any issues.

ok, what the heck is BAMF i searched that in the android development and dont know what rom your talkign about
Bugless Beast, 9-27 has to new binaries and is JRO03R.

Rasbeanjelly. Its the cleanest rom ever. Fast, amazing battery life and the latest aosp source. Also the nee binaries from jro03R. You should try it. It has the power widget, lockscreen targets and some more mods. If you dont like all the blue of the icons, simply flash modstorms white mod. Flash the rom + trinity/franco. The outcome is awesome performance, no slowdowns, everything just works. No reboots and sh!t. I highly recommend it.

I agree with this. Rasbeanjelly + trinity kernel. The rom is very clean. Here's the thread, but you should read the faq before doing anything: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1455874

I'm using AndroidME with Stock Google Kernel, works perfect, stable, actually it's a stock rom with improvements. The only thing missing for me is T9 Dialer, but no problem to install MOD for it.

You've already got the most stable Jelly Bean software then
stock, are you jellin, cm10.
after those you get into roms with more features and and there tends to be little bugs that sometimes go along with them.
Nothing against the others Ive had good experiences on alot of roms but as for the MOST stable these in my opinion would be them.
Stock ROM.
Beamed from my Grouper.
ok looking into BAMF and rasbeanjelly.
another question that could help me dicide between the two. do either have the possibility to upgrade the rom on the device without a computer. so when i install it i can always have the latest version without having to keep resetting to factory settigns and wiping all the data and cache

all roms do.. that's why you have custom recoveries.. i strongly suggest you read efrants stickies before you flash anything.

Yeah, you should read up on some stuff before continuing anything Rom related. Just look for stickied topics, read them, and you will have way less questions left.

are you sure? becuase when i was running CM9 RC2 on my old captivate, then the CM9 stable came out. I kept checking for updates in the settings and it kept saying my software was upto date. I had to download the new file and flash it again in clockwork mod.
Hello,
I am searching a ROM which should be FAST and with a INT2SD support. (or similar) I was using Runnymede before and now I am using the VJ CM10.1. I started to get tired of the low performance and the various bugs.. (I am not complaining of course the VJ did amazing work who brough 4.2.2 in our mobile but when spontaneous reboots happened in the worst occasions you are searching for something more stable )
So, which one you suggest? What about MIUI XJ ?
PS: xda-moderators, why you dont create a sticky thready which has a Poll about the rom that the users are using?
Thanks,
c.
Milwilds redux ROM.
I can recommend MIUI XJ too.

They did try, but they're just not that useful...
1) requires people to actually bother to vote
2) way too many roms to even put on the poll, and do you break each rom down by version number??
3) the poll wouldn't update when people switch roms, and people wouldn't bother to change their vote
4) people that do vote might be people that just say "IT'S THE BEST ROM EVA!!!!" without any justification, also you don't know how many rom's they've tried to arrive at this 'conclusion'
5) people's rom requirements are different, only you know what your exact requirements are . If you try a few roms and find the one that's best for you, then that's progress. Nothing wrong with people giving recommendations here and there, but you can quite easily then pick a rom which is best for them (which is kind of what the poll does)
Any AOSP CM7 based, Oxygen, MildWild's, dGB etc.
problem is in your phone, not VJ rom.
we can't recommend, you need test them all byself.
I have an arc s with cm10 and its a bit laggy i want to have android 4.4.
Which onw of those roms you suggest me.
I need stable one which dont get laggy after using it alot.
If android 4.4 have little problems it can be 4.3 too.
And its not a
"which is the best rom "
Thread.
Thx
Try to find your self which is good for you . But since you asked, try VanirAOSP 4.4.2 .

Plzz i do not ask for fastest/best rom, but for stable one with less bugs. The arc s is for my bro , so i cant choose one of these billions of roms, because i cant try every rom. Its not my phone.
I know the rules of xda!!
There is no stable KitKat ROM, they all have certain flaws still.
And all ROMs become slow over time. If you wish to join the custom ROM world, you have to learn to maintain ROM's speed and efficiency.
