Hi All ,
Sorry for starting a new thread but only to confirm that there is currently no way we can have any cutomrom like DN3 on a note 2 (international) which got an 4.3 MK4 update official not leaked with knox boot loader.
It is possible to root the official and kill the knox app but we cannot have any other rom ?

Custom roms based on MK4 are available and you can also install them,but you will have the same mk4 bootloader and of course you will void your warranty.
Thanks bro for reply...right now i m not worried abt warrenty...i need dn3 or any other rom...i m stuck with this official rom ..i cannot boot into anyother rom.i tried dn3 100 times it flash it properly but doesnt boot.i have official indian knox 4.3.plz help

Are you shure that you phone doesn't boot. I'm on Ketans rom. The first boot takes over 10minutes. At first i tought there is an issue. But after waiting it boots up.

Hmm..well a rom takes some time to boot properly as stated by tyrunus.So you should wait for sometime after flashing the rom.
I m using tamirda's phoenix rom and it does boot properly.you may also try this rom.
What is the error you are getting?Does it bootloop or stuck at boot?
Also try this super wipe script:http://d-h.st/fWr before flashing the rom.
I found this script from tamirda's thread.Hope it helps you too.

Go ahead and do the updated OTA
when i search update firmware at phone it gave me you have the last update
kies told me there is a new update
but after downloaded it the phone restart it says downloading do not turn phone off
and do nothing
then the kies told me the connection with phone lost try again
You Could download the stock JB ROM and install it from here are the list of latest Stock Roms

Go to www.sammobile.com download samsung 4.1.2 stock firmware and flash it thru pc odin.

Just fyi, insane chip/emmc bug wont change or fix with flashing custom rom, Unless you change your chip to fx07.
Based to the infomation from other veteran member, the build after LK7 or at year2013 should come with the fix patch from samsung. Although we hear nothing official from samsung. ( samsung wont announce or agree officially because this might affect or raise the fear of samsung user).
To be safe, just flash the new build custom rom as soon as possible if you still on 4.1.1.

Yeah there should be one in the Android development section.
FYI it's not the ROM that matters, it's the kernel. Flash Perseus - it has eMMc bug fix (so do most kernels, but I would recommend Perseus)

The chip can't be changed (if you don't change motherboard). It will always be the "insane" one. However the kernel is supposed to prevent the problem of sudden death from happening in the future
i just flashed the last Malaysia 4.1.2 and after that i flashed the Perseus kernel
is that will make my n7100 safe for the future or what?

If Im not mistaken, you can find the stock deodexed rom at android development. That is completely stock and can be flash thru cwm.

I have been introduce to the xda website through my cousin and i'm no crazy and very happy to get this site as i m getting to learn more new things. i bought Samsung galaxy grand, details for my handset are as follows:

I rooted my handset using Odin, my handset goes in CMW but whenever i try to flash custom rom which i downloaded DEODEXED I90820XUBMF2 4.2.2 from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2196558
But whenever i try to flash (zip from external sd card-where i saved my custom rom on my sd card) the above mentioned rom in cmw, it shows rom got installed in 2 seconds (is shows installation completed) which in reality it doesn't get installed as i have seen my cousin flashing custom rom on his samsung galaxy grand, it shows all indication of custom rom getting installed through CMW. It goes same if i try to install any other custom roms which i downloaded from XDA links.
Please help me where i'm going wrong why i'm unable to flash custom roms on my handset. someone told me that i might have deleted some partition files on it that's why my custom rom flashing so quickly but not getting install. I read so many positive feedback with a resolution of everyone's problem. i hope respective admins & members will help me to solve my problem too. I really wish to install some good custom rom on my handset.
PLEASE HELP RESPECTIVE MEMBER, I'm so tired looking for solution, the only hope is here. I don't have much knowledge and need help.

Read the instructions first when u r going to flash any rom...u r on 4.1.2 n the rom which u r trying to flash needs 4.2.2 leaked firmware installed first....so now just flash 4.2.2 leaked firmware n then flash this 4.2.2 deodexed version over it....

Thanks for the replies ...razor that i forgot but then i tried flashing with rom i.e. I9082XXAMD6 custom rom which i downloaded from XDA for samsung grand model and also 4.1.2 but still the same problem if i flash this rom also. please help if you want i can send the whole video which i recorded of the error i m getting.Handset is getting rooted and application are working but only as i wish to use some other custom rom its not flashing.when i flash the original rom of samsung grand through odin it flashes perfect. please help. Place ur downloaded zip file to internal SD root...not in any folder...if still no success try with renaming it with update.zip...

I suggest u a better way....u just download leaked android 4.2.2 from sammobile and install it using odin defenitly u succeed.. if u didn't find link in sammobile gu can find it in xda itself or go to my site vapourweb.com I added complete instructions and download link:laugh:
or if u want custom rom itself tn flash ur stock rom first using odin tn flash cwm and try again

Hello as you said so NO THANKS bro but i appreciate xda members and yours help and guidiance on my each and every reply. As per your suggestion i flashed with Android 4.2.2 leaked rom and you know :victory: IT WORKED :victory: now i wish to flash with the custom rom which is here at xda page but you know what there's no USB DEBUGGING option in the android 4.2.2 :silly: so please now guide me that how can i root the android 4.2.2 in my samsung galaxy grand. give the steps or any url where i can get help to root my android 4.2.2. i went on search engine looking for how to root and came to know that we can root it through command prompt. which i found too tough. Can you help me in easy way to root my samsung grand Android 4.2.2.

Go to system> more>about phone n tap build number until u get developer options...turn on it n tick USB debugging...rest the rooting procedure is same as u rooted with 4.1.2... :thumbup:

Hello again I flashed android 4.2.2 but now please help me how to can I switch my external to sd using external to internal apps. As I was doing it but nothing happened my handset memory still shows 8 gb instead of 32 gb sd card as my phone memory. And yes also please help me for installing the xda latest 4.2.2 gnext rom after rooting when I tried to install nothing is happening.

Yes, I know, but I could not install the ROM without the modem, I read that the error is because of Kies, I closed processes, tried everything, but could not
here is the 4.2.2 firmware http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9080L is unbranded and full stock is nice ( already installed )
I need to know what the difference is between 4.3 and 4.4. How do i upgrade to it? Do i need to do it to run kitkat roms?
I have flashed about 4 kitkat roms and they all have issues. Like freezing and rebooting. I think maybe because i am on the 4.3 bootloader.
I just dont fully understand this stuff yet.

So i found this post but i still dont fully understand it. So if i flash a kitkat rom and a new kernel does that automatically upgrade my bootloader to 4.4? Currently out of all the kitkat kernels only 2 of them will boot my phone all others i just get stuck on the samsung logo. Including the stock kernel.

Hi, Im currently using stock rom with root access on my note 2 n7100, android v 4.4.2, I once flashed a custom rom with android version 4.1.2 and I encountered a bunch of glitches, the biggest one was not being able to call ( no service), if I flash a custom rom with android version 4.2.2 , will everything work smoothly?

Flashing a custom rom is no up- or downgrade at all. As on 4.4.2 forget about downgrade forever.
You may flash most 4.3 and all 4.4.+ custom roms for N7100 and you will be fine without problems.
So 4.2.2 is a nono :C?

Maybe it will work, but make a backup in case.
BTW: I don't remember any 4.2.2 custom rom.
