Hi All,
I'm looking for a pure su binary that would simply substitute with root every time its invoked, like in Linux. No looking into databases, no interactions with any Superuser apps.
Thanks.
The su, which used by the superuser apps is the same with original linux su.

No, its not. The one with apps refers to the appropriate app's database to see whether this particular request should be granted, it may grant it if will find the requiring app in the database, or prompt or deny depending on Superuser app settings. Thus depends on Superuser app. The original Linux su has no app dependencies and grants all incoming requests. This is insecure, yes.
I will get it from my linux installed computer and send to you tomorrow.

Thanks, but I already tried one from Gentoo compiled for ARM processor and it doesnt work. Probably it needs to be compiled for Android specifically. And I cant even find sources for a "Pure" su, I only found those for Superuser.apk.
https://github.com/ChainsDD/su-binary/blob/master/su.c yeah it seems it's different from original su.

Thanks a lot man :good:, another thing, will changing this have any other impact on my device? Can/should I change it back or does it just not matter?
thanks again :good:
it SHOULDNT matter guys.....but this will block OTA's from updating and stuff, so if that is important to you.
but always make a backup of the build.prop just to be sure. once FB home is available to EVERYONE, i would change it back just to be safe....but again, it shouldn't mess with anything else. most apps are available on the Note 2, so it shouldn't be a problem.

it may have a minor effect on apps that are for the Gnex or Note only in the market, but you should not see much of an issue

...did that build.prop edit and after reboot rom doesn't boot, stuck at bootlogo for about 5 mins now. good thing I made a rom backup yesterday.
Tried facebook messenger first when it was updated and chat heads don't work, anyone know why ?
So far it's been alright. Sending regular sms have been hit or miss. Sometimes they send but sometimes they don't on GNEX

Changed build prop and still says device isn't supported :/ Tried changing to a GS3 as well, not luck either.
Does it matter if parts of the build prop mentions toro/tuna? Or does the rom I'm using matter?

Uninstall and reinstall FB Home. You have to have your build.prop changed prior to the installation of the FB Home app.
I was hoping someone can help me figure out how to disable these or disable and install the ones I downloaded that are the android l boot animations?

the files are under system/media. you can download and put new files there, as long as they are names the same then new animations will work fine

The Sprint Boot Animations are in carrier/cust/poweroff and /poweron. If you messed with /system/media you deleted stock LG animations not Sprint.

To get rid of the Sprint animations delete them from /poweron and /poweroff. Dont overwrite them with something else, just delete them and use /system/media for any custom or stock LG animations. Hope this helped.

yes you helped greatly just disabled the stock sprint animations now when i shutdown it doesnt do the lg animation which is fine because i want to get rid of them as well but the start up lg plays anyway to disable that one
rwrr are the permissions and any animations that are still playing are in system/media unless you're talking about the splash screen(the lg screen before the boot animation) in which case thats part of the kernel and not able to change.

Busybox allows you or programs to perform actions on your phone using Linux (copied from Unix) commands. Android is basically a specialized Linux OS with a Java compatible (Dalvik) machine for running programs. The Android kernel is a modified version of the Linux kernel (that is why the Android kernel must always be open source). Busybox gives functionality to your phone that it does not have without it. Many programs, especially root programs such as Titanium Backup, require busybox to perform the functions of the program. Without busybox installed your phone is much more limited in what it can do.

This mod enables the earspeaker to act as the second speaker in combination with the main bottom firing speaker.
This mod is tested on the B379 firmware on the VTR-L09. The difference is not night and day in my opinion but try it yourself.
It's not completely tweaked yet but it works.
Module is made for magisk 17 and higher.
Download is in the attachment.
*Disclaimer
Flash and use at your own risk! If you blame me for ruining your phone, you should fish slap yourself
It's not worth it...it is to low on volume.
But still, thanks

That's weird, I don't face those issues. Try to check its permissions if it's rw r r(644) in /odm/etc/audio/hi6403/mixer_volumes_VICTORIA_ce.xml
You can use the terminal to chmod 644 /odm/etc/audio/hi6403/mixer_volumes_VICTORIA_ce.xml
Or use root browser. If those things don't work try to replace the file with a copy of /odm/etc/audio/hi6403/mixer_volumes_VICTORIA_normal.xml. Can't make a flashable zip right now, still odd behavior.

Where is download link ?
Hi!
After some help I found out that we can pull the update from Motorola's servers but there's one problem: We need someone's Serial Number (`adb shell getprop ro.boot.serialno` or `*#06#`) and the ota shh1 (adb shell getprop ro.mot.build.guid to access the update.
Use this link and edit it with your serial number: https://motoota.lolinet.com/guid.php?guid=YourGUID&carrier=retin&sn=YourSerialNumber
Or use this app:
Fields required to be completed with lines from build prop but without root cannot acces that file.

You can access those prop values from adb without root or termux (using getprop [value])
If the links gives you nothing try to use retin as the carrier. Also make sure you meet the requirements:
- updated to Android 10
- You have received the 10 beta thought MFN/SOAK tests
I've added an app in the attachment that does what the link I posted here .
And what did you manage to install 10?

Unfortunately no. But the app I added to the attachment it checks for your phone version and tries to download the OTA you're on.
