Thanks! My phone currently can only boot in download mode and recovery mode as I flashed the international version firmware into this... And each time I try flashing I get the nand error... So I will have to use the .pit file right? Thanks again!

Is flashing stuck at Nand Write ?
Pit files should only be used as a last resort, I highly advise NOT to use them if you are not 100% certain of what it is going to do.
Did you already rule out the following items?
- USB cable is not an issue, USB Drivers are fine, USB debugging is turned on and KIES is not running
- Flashing the correct ROM
- Different versions of ODIN

Thanks Again! I have a problem though...this was present before as well, so after flashing this and prior to this, there were network problems i.e the network continuously changes... sometimes on 1 bar sometimes 3 sometimes none...I live in India and don't use a t-mobile sim card if that helps.

This is common if the phone is an area where network is spotty. This is most likely an issue with the network and not the phone.

Need assistance to help a friend...

A buddy of mine trashed his SGS3 and got it stuck in a boot loop.
He was also handicapped by being on a MAC
As he was able to get into both download mode and recovery, (CWM 5.5.0.x) I assured him he could recover his phone..
Got him to dl loaded the following ROM, and got it copied to his external SD card:
[ROM] Deodexed + Completely debloated T999UVLEM

Then booted into recovery, did a factory reset, installed the ROM, (twice) then did a fix permissions
His SGS3 will now boot up to the desktop, and shows the phone signal
The remaining issue is he does not have data working, and there also seems to be an issue with the "home" button.
If this was my Sprint SGS3, I would be thinking there is a SW issue with the modem drivers or some such, but I am unsure how to check/verify this on the t-mobile version, and was looking for tips on what to load, and/or what to check to resolve the lack of data signal on his SGS3.

Does he still have his IMEI? Might either need to inject the IMEI back in, or if it's still intact, you might just want to try and Odin back to stock and start from scratch.

[REF] Modem / Radio Collection (M919 I9505) Odin Flashable MDL

All modems (radio / baseband) here are for the T-Mobile M919 I9505 variant only!!
i've seen quite a few people around the threads looking for just modems so figured i'd share. i'll try to keep the thread up to date as our new firmwares release. i'll look into making CWM for those that may want it to be flashable but for now
please follow these instructions
with Odin:
Extract the contents of 7zip/zip archive. Put it in your Odin folder. Do not try to extract files from the .tar.md5.
Run Odin 3.07.exe, and prepare Odin:
1. Check "auto-reboot", and uncheck all other options.
2. Click Phone and select the TAR.md5 you downloaded. Leave other fields empty.
3. Don't panic. Odin may freeze while it checks the MD5 signature of the TAR. This is normal.
* Put your device into Download Mode:
5. Power down fully and disconnect the USB cable.
6. Hold Volume Down + Home + Power.
7. You should now be at Download Mode. Connect your device and wait for it to be recognized.
8. Click Start in Odin.
9. Wait!
10. Device will auto reboot

It'll be awesome if it can be flashed through TWRP or CWM.
With this (and possibly a kernel flash), we can now run any on the international i9505 ROMs, right?
Seems like i9505 have the solution to flash through recovery.

this is a one part modem.bin. the Odin file in OP is a two-part modem, modem.bin and NON-HLOS.bin. i'm fairly certain we need both parts and am not sure how that works via CWM. i can make one with both parts flashed to the modem location, but can't guarantee what that would do if anything...

I did the same, Odin to phone and it says MDB but Odin reported 1 successful and 0 failed. Isn't there two files though?
MD5 checked out so I know all of that is solid it wasn't a bad download, maybe it's a glitch or something.

Try re flashing your kernel of choice... If that doesn't work you'll have to stay on the modem specific to your carrier 1337m don't have any issues flashing international modems so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I tried to re-flash using ODIN 3.07, and I get an error saying that the C++ runtime crashed. I wonder whether the file is corrupt (I have re-downloaded MG1.tar, still same problem).... Very odd..
Somewhat, mobile odin broke my CWM recovery as well during this process. When I try to reboot into recovery to flash the kernel, the phone simply reboot after showing th small blue rebooting recovery text. So, I had to reflash the recovery through desktop odin again... Anyhow, long story short, I have reflashed google play edition 4.2.2 kernel that I was using, and still cannot get any reception (modem section still unknown) with the MG1 modem file...

Ok, back to square 1. Fixed the unknown baseband and I am at the original MDL.
Now, I decided to go the DESKTOP ODIN route. Extracted modem.bin, fired up ODIN 3.07, clicked phone, selected modem.bin, unchecked auto reboot, hit start and got fail!. The phone screen shows "secure check fail : mdm". Is this MG1 modem maybe not compatible with M919?

[Q] Straight Talk (Tracfone) Sprint Galaxy S3 SCH-S960L flashed wrong modem

I use the Sprint SlimBean ROM and I had no issues with it on my SCH-S960L. I had no issues with my mobile connection except for the fact that it it took some time to connect to mobile data services or even required a restart or Airplane mode toggled. This along with it sometimes did not switch between 3G and LTE when it should. Because of this I attempted to flash a newer Sprint Galaxy S3 modem. This completely disestablished any connection to services. It has 0 bars and cannot make calls, send texts, or use data. I have tried to reflash the ROM but of course, it did not help at all.
Now in the light of hope, I made a backup of the efs and firmware folders before flashing. I'm not sure how I can fix my issue with this but it was suggested to do so before flashing.
My baseband version was S960LWYAMD6. While I could reflash the old modem, (with help) I would prefer a better modem. (if there are any)
Any help is appreciated.
With best regards,
SirBenjamin

i know this is sprint galaxy s3 section, but the straight talk s3 is basically the same phone and there is no section for it.
if you own this particular model, then you would know that its pure hell trying to find ANY files. this is the stock MD6 modem.bin ripped from my phone. ive seen people ask for this modem because they flashed the MD4 modem in hopes of getting their MSL and/or for the benefits of being able to use the 16-digit password. (which reminds me.. i have read of ways to port the 16-digit password from a .dll file in the phone? i have done loads of searching, but the password is NO WHERE to be found) and needed the stock modem. so for anyone that needs it here it is.
hopefully us ST S3 users will eventually gather up all the odin files to completely restore our phones when needed

Proby, I tried to do the other things you suggested. I can't update the PRL/Profile since I'm on a custom ROM. That is unless there is another way. I did not understand what you meant with the number you mentioned. If you wanted me to call that it did nothing.
As for chx, unfortunately it still did not fix it. This quick little modem update is turning into a nightmare. Not only that, but no sound plays, the microphone does not work, and DSP Manager crashes whenever I try to play media.
I really appreciate both of your support though.
Yay! I used Mobile Odin Pro and flashed a file from another thread. It may have been the file or using Mobile Odin Pro since it downloaded the correct driver. I appreciate all of your help, though.

Forget about downgrade to 4.1.2.
2 possibilities to get network connection:
a) Flash latest modem of your region
b) Flash XXUFND3 from France (here maybe you got also to flash modem, but not sure)
I did the same thing, flashed ND3 modem. In that wifi always consumes battery even though its not turned ON. And mobile data/surfing speed is ridiculously slow. What should i do?

I've updated my N7100 with the latest official Indian 4.4.2 ROM. I cannot get network connectivity. My device is unlocked, SIM detected, APN set but I have a no connectivity prompt. My IMEI is intact. I searched the forums, and when similar of this happens, the tip is to downgrade to 4.1.2. Well, I cant, i get "Invalid Magic String".
So please help. I have....no phone to say...

To downgrade to 4.1.2 you can try using Mobile Odin and a stock 4.1.2 rom.

I did the same thing, flashed ND3 modem. In that wifi always consumes battery even though its not turned ON. And mobile data/surfing speed is ridiculously slow. What should i do?

If you mean modem.bin it is included in the stock rom's .tar file. You can see it if you open the .tar file with Winrar.

Thanks. I meant that I tried different modems - it comes with ND3 by default and I've tried flashing NA1, NA3, MK1, MJ5, MJ9, etc. All to no avail. I'm not sure what modem has been used to work with att on 4.3 (i've been out of the USA). If someone knows a reliable modem that they have used with ATT, please let me know.
