[APP](Update) DSPManager for 4.3 & 4.4+ TouchWiz - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I decided to take matters into my own hands after failing to find a working DSPManager for our devices running on 4.3 TouchWiz, and after trial and error it is now fully working :victory:
What is DSPManager?
DSP Equalizer
Gives enhanced sound processing capabilities. A simple application called DSPManager is provided to adjust the new audio parameters such as bass boost, 6 band equalizer, virtual room effect for all system audio. (slightly edited from http://www.cyanogenmod.org/features/dsp-equalizer)
Below I have put together a guide to a working DSPManager for our device on 4.3 TouchWiz
What it includes:
A flashable zip containing the DSPManager.apk, along with updated libs needed to run for our device.
That's pretty much it, nothing special.
REQUIREMENT:
Not be running the stock Samsung 4.3 kernel. Otherwise you will get nothing but forcecloses from DSPManager.
Flash something like decimalman's 4.3 kernel in the development thread. You can also try DocHoliday77's insecure kernel or others but I only did testing with decimalman's kernel. If you use another kernel and DSPManager works for you please post it so others can know
Proceed ONLY after you are sure you are not running stock Samsung 4.3 kernel
What you need:
1) Root access.
2) Root browser.
3) Custom recovery to flash the zip.
What you need to do:
1) Download the zip in attachment and have it in either your internal or external memory card.
2) Navigate to /system with your preferred root browser and open the file build.prop
3) After opening the file, search for the following lines:
lpa.decode=true and lpa.use-stagefright=true
Edit this two lines to:
lpa.decode=false and lpa.use-stagefright=false
4) After doing so, saves changes and reboot your device into recovery mode.
5) Navigate to zip location and flash it.
6) Clear dalvik and cache and reboot your phone.
7) Enjoy!
Other devices confirmed working:
I9300 (S3 International)
SGH-M919 (S4 T-Mobile)
Note 3
Other notes:
You can also push each file to their respective locations in /system, set permissions, and reboot. It will work.
I also know there are other audio mods out there so please don't post replies saying that so and so mod is better or things like that.
I've tried other mods and I just happen to prefer DSPManager so I thought I would make it accessible to anyone else who would also want it
It might also work for other devices and rom bases but I only tested it with my SGH-T999 on 4.3 MJC, so that's why I put TouchWiz in the tile and file name.
If you use the compression option but it doesn't work for you in the included zip, try using the one found here (app is not system wide)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50322383 thanks to mikehorizon for mentioning

hey I love this app, it works great, I was wondering would you be able to help me install a messaging app from a different rom into a 4.4 touchwiz? would it be the same way as just changing the prop settings and flashing it.. or.?

THANK YOU!!!
Runs perfectly and effects are applied to all apps.
Here's my setup: Smartdroid Simple (4.3), Boeffla Kernel.

I've been searching for a working DSP manager for I9300 4.3 for ages.
Tried countless versions with many kernels. None of them worked. Either DSP manager's effect were not applied or it worked only for 10-15-30 minutes, then stopped applying the effects.
Installed this on a fresh 4.3 stock rom with boeffla kernel.
This version is still not working.....but....
The dynamic range compression is not working at all.
The other effects stops in conditions of multitasking (listening to music while browsing the web with the default browser) or after a while(30-60 minutes) with the screen off.
....But strangely dsp comes back after 1 -2 seconds. This is the new thing. It's a step forward :good:
Surely there's got to be a way to fix these issues.
Players used: poweramp (here the compression works but it doesn't do what's supposed to do), jet audio and Tune in for online radio.
The only configuration I've managed to have dsp manager work fully (multitasking, screen off, compression) is with the stock 4.1.2.
I would really like to make the transition to 4.3 cause it is slightly faster than 4.1.2 and the wanam xposed is working also.

Well don't know what to do about the compression, it works fine for some players.. it works for play music too.. and for dsp being automatically killed that's the system killing it, that's happened to me since ICS, but it does start back up by itself..
Edit: I can multitask and it doesn't get killed that often though, just about the same as it always does
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk

OK, I've realized why it was working without interruption in my 4.1.2. I installed an Xposed module that locked DSP manager in memory (XpossedAppSettings).
Did the same thing on 4.3 and it's ok now. No more stops when heavy multitasking.
I will also try some things and report back if successful.

Yep it works, compression also.
What I did:
- clear data on DSPManager from app info.
- renamed all in /system/libs/soundfx
- deleted /system/app/DSPManager.apk
- renamed /system/etc/audio_effects.conf
- renamed /system/etc/audio_policy.conf
- renamed /system/vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf
Reboot to recovery.
Flashed the version attached. I don't remember now where I got it but surely somewhere from xda.
Wipe cache, wipe dalvik.
Reboot.
Installed XposesAppSettings.
Check "resident" on DSP manager.Save
Reboot.
This version is working fully, compression also. No interruption on heavy multitasking. My phone became very laggy after opening every app I have , but still dsp manager surviving......
....Or the version in this thread also working all the time but with no compression.
Your choice.
The resident check was the breakthrough.

Thanks for the report, I'll add this info to the OP

[ROM] NardROM 0.4 UCL9 (not supported)

Note, I have moved to the Galaxy S Relay 4G. I still have a Glide but there will be no further development here.
Welcome to NardROM. I want to remind you that flashing this may void your warranty. Use at your own risk. This ROM is experimental. It is fully functioning but some things are works in progress.
Read post 2 to find out how this differs from stock. This ROM is based on the L9 build of ICS, but contains smidgens of Gingerbread (the modem, and the keyboard light controller, and the startup animation), as well as the LH2 kernel.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR A NEW INSTALL:
1. Flash the official ICS using Kies or Odin. You may be able to skip this step but it's best to start clean.
2. Install CWMR from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766533 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458153
I personally use version 5.
3. Copy the NardROM 0.2 and the 0.4 files to your phone's internal storage.
4. Flash the NardROM 0.2 with CWMR. This step will wipe your installed apps so make backups with Titanium. DO NOT RESTORE DATA ON SYSTEM APPS. Your definition of a system app can vary from Samsung's, for example, Facebook is a system app to Samsung
5. Reboot phone.
6. At the prompt do set up your phone, instead, reboot back into CWMR.
7. Flash NardROM 0.4
8. Reboot.
9. Click next.
10. Tap your screen to prevent it from going to sleep and grant phone superuser access.
11. Enjoy your new phone.
12. If you wish to use Toggle 2G, you should set it to "Data off to switch"
Upgrade instructions:
NardROM 0.1: Follow instructions for new install, above

NardROM 0.2

Well feel free to bug test for me, and add ideas. And borrow stuff from me is fine. Themes are where most roms differ anyway. My theme is "stock" for now.
well i installed and running GREAT! testing a few things will report back... also anyone wanting if u have to readd CWM u do not it doesnt wipe that. idk if nard said that or not
Are the deodexed files here otherwise unchanged from stock? I've been meaning to deodex the stock rom so I could get around to removing the carrier branding in the status bar, but if you've already done the work...
added nova launcher and OMG its super nice... just an idea is put nova as default and take out TW launcher.. IMO

They're also re-signed. Mixing system apks with different signatures might cause problems. In any case let me know what you discover in that regard and I'll throw it into the ROM.
Forgot to mention one thing: Need to set Toggle 2G to "Data off to switch" to get it to work.

[ROM] [2.3.5] EQDKP-Sense3.5 V 5.2 (update: 3 November, 2012)

As a good sense 3.5 with good battery/speed, this will make our mobile a useful device, as I have removed all the junksoft. With realcalc U can do all sorts of calculations and conversion, there is a online currency converter, U can zip/unzip via es file explorer, office/PDF reader is also there.
Here is the rom Latest deodex version [MD5 = bc077a26eca4bcf0ed2add40b47cdc8f]. Data2sd is recommended with this. Use smartassV2-noop. See after installation instructions below no.10.
Also here is a odex version for those who are complaining about low space. It has 114mb just after install. If u use link2sd u can have upto 130mb after linking apps to sdcard. Also screenshots added. MD5 = bc077a26eca4bcf0ed2add40b47cdc8f
Installation Method: (Please do as instructed and always do nandroid back up of Ur favourite rom, for example in my backup I have WildChild )
1. Download the rom & put it somewhere in sdcard.
2. Make 3 primary partitions in sdcard. first one is fat32, 2nd is ext4 of 1-1.5gb, 3rd is linuxswap of 418-512mb.
If you had made custom partition U need to reflash recovery. (Others may skip this step)
3. Reboot in recovery
4. Then wipe data/factory reset
5. Then advanced then Wipe Dalvik Cache & Wipe Battery Stats
6. Go back then install zip from sdcard
7. Choose EQDKPV5.1(*-*-2012).zip & flash
8.After that Reboot & Wait 3-10 minutes until ROM is fully booted. Then take the battery out.
9.After that Reboot into recovery again to install data2sd in this case no need of wipe/format etc. just install Data2SDInstallerES.zip & reboot.
set up finished here
10.If you want to change to status bar or quick settings menu or lock screen. See this post.
11.For 4x4 app drawer click here.
12.If you want original sense3.5 fonts flash this
13.If U want stock battery icons Flash this no wipes
14.If U wanna change the CRT animation. This and This
15.If you want volume keys to work as volume keys flash this attachment.
16.For other kernels see this post. I think dust or cake 9 s are good.
17. For enabling proximity sensor.
Open ES file explorer..... Press menu key--> select Settings ---> below there is root settings ---> tick all 4 and grant superuser permission.
Go back ---> navigate to /system/build.prop--> open as text---> look for a line "gsm.proximity.enable=false"
Put a # in front of that line or delete it... done...
18.Stock keyboard is here...
After installation:
1. Use noop-smartassV2 upper-lower your wish.
2. Do the basic power savings stuff like setting change / animation off / vibration off /fastboot off etc. Especially turn off pocketmode/flip for speaker from sound settings, and from location phone finder. They will drain Ur battery otherwise.
3. Download SuperSU from playstore. Open SuperSu press ok to allow super user request, then goto settings, scrolldown, in access select- Defautl access [grant] & remove the tik mark from show notification.
4. Go to settings - applications - running services see what processes are on.
5. Open startup manager and close the processes U hate. (tips copied from tigger)
6.For MX Player to be able to play anything (upto 720p), Open MX Player-> Settings-> Tik on S/W decoder. Done. Open Voltage Control Ok-> I get it-> I/O scheduler bfQ -> Maximum 600MHZ
7. Open Dsp Manager- Dynamic Range Compression Enable-> Effect Strength-> Slight
Bass Boost Enable-> Effect Strength-> Moderate
Equalizer enabled-> Select Preset Rock. Done. See the sound effect now via head phone.
8. In screen filter remove the tik from Enable soft-key backlight.
9. Please don't request me on how to use link2sd/s2e/ext2sd/apps2sd I don't use them.
10. Running these commands will make ur device fast. Open terminal. Type su. Then type the commands one command at a time. vac, zepalign, fixfc, flush, sclean..... Will run some supercharger scripts.
vac=sqlite optimizations
fixfc=fix forceclose on apps
flush=engine flush and integration
zepalign=zipalign apps manually
sclean=superclean and restart, helps optimize performance run this in weaks

CHANGE-LOG:
03 Nov: Email FC fixed ( if its still force close just remove it, it doesnt in my phone), updated beats audio, added miui compass and keymonk keyboard replaces HTC-IME. (Please dont ask me for HTC IME. I totally hate that keyboard now. With keymonk first open messages and pass the demo, or it may trouble your typing. Buy keymonk its totally worth it.:good)
Update11: Supercharger removed, audio lag solved. Super charger will be added later...
Update10: Multitasking isssue resolved. System apps updated. Added some essential apps.
Update9: Added cyense theme of mazer.one slightly modified. added crt off animation (to remove disable all window animations), updated apps, reassigned volume rocker buttons to music next previous, added volume in quick settings, the task manager actually closes processes now..
Update8: Changed bootanimation, added v6 supercharger & kickass kernel scripts & scriptmanager. Changed kernel to Cake1.4(latest) boot on most device. Removed some market apps to make the rom light. Busybox downgraded to 1.19.4. More stable. Proximity sensor is disabled on default.
Update7: new statusbar icons, transparent statusbar, changed from supersu to super user, first boot time improved.
Update6: browser + default language support. Changed bootanimation.
Update5: Theme lag fixed. Freindstream force-close bug fixed.
Update4: New theme. Bounce animation, white overscroll glowing effect, new icons. Thanks to Mazer.one for the support in theming.
Update3: Changed to beats bootanimation. arabic language support only for deodex.
Update2: Thanks to Tera Tike for editing bootanimation. Removed Titanium backup, teeter, mxplayer as there is HTC HUB/playshop U can get teeter anytime back,
Update1: Added adobe reader, Removed calclator and added realcalc, updated to latest busybox, fixed some bugs in dsp manager.
Known bugs (So far):
1.Only pop configuration works in music player equalizer. Use DSP to change equalizer. Some times when you see beats audio turned itself off, open dsp then also open equalizer in musicplayer. Sorry about it, looking for better versions of beats audio. (You need to use it as the way to turn on beats audio thats why I didnt remove/replace music player).
2.Volume buttons are remapped, proximity sensor disabled.
3.Internet browser has got visual bug on transparency.
Screenshots:
Well I have been doing antutu score tests so many ties. Here are some screeenshots. Performance, SmartassV2, Ondemand+ Sio, BFQ, Deadline brought this scores.
Edit: After the update antutu score is improved drasticallly.
2 cool tricks...

2. for taking cool screenshots like these press power+home together...

I haven't done anything with the video recorder. But if U find lag use bfq. It should solve ur problem in any rom. I dont think wfs is the phone for video recording. Becoz it will eat up ur battery so fast. U can use it for still pic hardly. Now U talking about video recording!!!!
I don't think my camera is different than any other sense 3.5.
Its just an upgrade from eqdkp-5.0 with superuse, busybox, beatsaudio, kernel change and few tweaks. It can OC upto 820. Optimized for music playback. U can play music longer than any other roms guaranteed.

[REQUEST] DSP MANAGER for Stock Roms

Hey guys, I wonder how to install a fully working DSP Manager with the exact sound effects on my SGSII ROM V7.2 but it didn't work...... Is there anyone can help me? Any help will be appreciated.
But before you reply, read this:
1) I already paste the dspmanager.apk in system/app/ and set permissions.
2) I already paste the Cyanogen audio lib files in lib/soundfx and changed permissions. The "volume+" was deleted.
3) I checked the compatibility like the baseband, rom, android version etc.
4) The whole app didn't work. I was exploring around the internet to find out why but there's no answer....
5) I tried it out with stocklite 7.1 but it still happens.
6) Somebody tried out but they worked.
7) I almost threw my phone into a shredder because I'm too disappointed, especially for a music lover....omg....:crying:
Dspmanager is a very good eq app and it changes the sound effects without effecting other other frequency and that's why everyone was amazed by this app.
So I'm going to do this on my stock roms. Once the work is done I'll post and share on here and you guys can install dspmanager on stock roms with the easiest way!
there should a thread related to beats audio. Flash that and use DSP. I did that when I was on stock..once upon a time..
go to adrenaline rom thread look for dsp manager patch .

Ripple live wallpaper has stopped
This is normal. it is due to the wallpaper needing to read the SD Card at startup to be applied. Once the SD Card is done being read and you click OK. The wallpaper with ripple effect will show back up.
Not being able to set wallpaper
Go to manage apps and clear app preferences.
Stock video player FC and crashing
Flash either garwynn's or stock kernel
Not being able to download from market
Three things:
1)Clear google play store cache and data(manage apps) remove google account. reboot phone. Add google account again and download.
2)If you get the error not enough room/space.......unmount SD Card. download and install app. remount SD Card.
3)Try flashing the stock kernel GB27
For reference
From phakker on changing permissions with terminal emulator:
Type these into Terminal

Tips and How-to
HOW TO PROPERLY FLASH A JB ROM
Ok so first thing. We have all see a rise in questions how to properly flash a JB ROM or JB modem. some people say one way other say another. Which kernel/recovery do you use? which is the best way to flash a modem? Why use "X" over "Y"? Here is a small collection of what I use that has never failed me. If you follow these steps you can't go wrong.
1) If you have never been on JB before. you need to flash a JB one click that wipes everything. even internal storage. I know its a bit scary to wipe your internal storage but it is necessary to repartition the phone. under JB we have a new /preload folder; which is ~200MBs. So we need to make room for it. You can grab a copy of GB27. Make sure to get the data wipe version. Back up all your internal storage on your PC before you flash.
here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2148072
Grab the full data wipe version
How to Flash a Modem
Somethings have changed due to new recovery kernel for JB.
This is if you need to know how to flash a JB modem. Really, there are two ways to accomplish this. One is with PC odin and the other is flashing in a recovery. We will start with PC odin first. use the link below for where to get the modem.....JB modem. Download a JB modem which is FK23 - GB27. ll of them will work, some better than others. I recommend downloading a One-Click (OC) modem and while you are there download a Zip version as well.
Odin / PC Once the OC odin is download open it up as administrator and put your phone in download mode. once you hook your phone up to the PC you will see a yellow [COM:] box. this means you are connected and ready. So now all you have to do is hit the start button. Let it run and finish......it will take about 3-5 mins. It will auto-reboot your phone when it is finished. Now all you have to do is update profile and PRL and your good.
Flash modem in CWM
Flash Garwynn Source built kernel for JB.
here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2217686
OR
Flash Agat63's source built kernel for JB
here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244781
Then when you are on that kernel:
Just reboot to recovery
Wipe cache and delvik cache
flash modem
reboot
update profile and PRL
If done properly you will have your baseband show the modem you flashed. You will have data now on a JB ROM. Just make sure to update profile and PRL once its booted up. Either one of these methods will work and you can flash different JB modems to see which one works better. For me personally, GB08 and GB27 modem works the best.
Mobile odin http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347899
Modems found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1764210
Flashing a custom ROM
The biggest thing is make sure to follow the OP directions. They will never steer you wrong. Now that you are booted up and everything works, make sure to update profile and PRL too, your phone is now ready to flash a JB ROM. Now, you will also have a JB modem now with the Full Jelly Bean ROM.
You are going to need a few things handy before you do so.
JB wipe all 2x zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2077277
(Need to get rid of all data / system files / cache / delvik cache / preload folder)
Seems there are issues with flashing/wiping from agat's or garwynn's kernel/recovery. So, it is recommended to flash with EL26+CWM kernel or EL29 Direct Boot kernel.
EL26 download link : http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.p...ls/Recovery Kernels/GB/Chris41g/Stock CWM/TAR
EL29 DB kernel : http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.p...ernels/Recovery Kernels/GB/Noobnl Direct Boot
And then of course the ROM you wish to flash. that brings me to my next portion
when you download anything that you are going to flash. Please check the MD5 Sum and make sure it matches what is posted. I have seen countless issues due to flashing corrupt files. This way you won't have strange issues after you flash it. Ok now that you have the ROM you want......let's flash it.
General steps
(actual steps may vary. Always read and follow the OP directions)
1)Reboot to safe recovery
2)wipe cache and delvik cache
3)navigate to install zip from SD Card
4)Flash JB wipe all 2x zip
5)Flash the ROM
6)when it is done....reboot....be patient

That wasn't that painful was it? those steps never failed me. Please if you have issues make sure to follow this. If you are having issues and you followed this to the letter, I will be more than willing to help you. But If you decided to do your own thing and not read....well, that's on you then. TBSGS3/4 has been downloaded over 4000 times and there has only been a handful of issues. Mostly due to people not reading/following the install directions or coming right from ICS or not having the correct modem.
And remember.......Always follow the OP.
I hope this helps and I am open to corrections/addition to this post. I don't have all the answers but this is a community. We help each other, We learn and we grow.

Aoba_Pro_Honami: New Rom/Port for ION LT28i UB/LB

May I present to you another rom, Aoba_Pro_Honami. This is a port from Xperia S latest JB, 6.2.B.1.96. The base is my own deodexed and debloated Roger. I have done this port myself. You know what they say: it is easier to make things from scratch, as opposed to look for and fix mistakes by others.
This rom is specifically made for LT28i phones. Hence, you have an option for LTE in your mobile data settings. Both wifi and data work flawlessly on my locked LT28at. This rom has Honami framework including home, sounds and widgets. Dock has 2 additional icons.
This rom preserves most original apps. I only removed GoogleServicesFramework, GoogleFeedback, IddAgent and Facebook (see below)....
Description:
Own port of 6.2.B.1.96
Deodexed and prerooted
Data and Wifi work as they are supposed to: connections are fast and only limited by your hardware
Honami Framework and Home with Transparent Dock and 2 extra spaces in it
No black text on black background or white text on white background
Plenty of ram available: 300-350mb
Google Framework, GoogleFeedback, Iddagent and Facebook apps removed (see posts 9 and 10 in this thread for GAPPS)
APN file has many prepackaged apn configurations, thanks to Cyanogen guys
Credits:
I have done a lot of experimenting and tuning. So, it is difficult to say which honami framework I used. I believe I used the one by Niaboc79, so credit goes to him. To be on the safe side, I also give credit to Jjwrongjj and Benjamin24. Also credit goes to Hitfan for honami home with 2 extra spaces in dock. Please pm me if I forgot you.
Bugs: No fancy/schmancy claims of thunder, stability, vengeance, rapture and smoothness, while you can't boot the device, but everything works fine on my phone. I have tried my best, but there could be bugs: you tell me.
Instructions:
You must be rooted, have CWM Recovery and stock JB kernel on your device.
1. Enter recovery
2. Go to Mounts, mount System, Cache and Data
3. Format each. You may also do data wipe reset, but the above is much better to get rid of old staff.
4. Flash this rom.
5. You need Roger basebands to use LTE and other frequencies to the full extent. Remember, if you were on JB for LT28h, you must flash Roger baseband.
6. Let the rom settle, it will take up to 5-6 minutes for full boot the first time.
7. After running Setup wizard and connecting to data and wifi, go to Settings/Wifi/Advanced and make sure that the option Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep is set to Always, otherwise, every time your screen goes off, wifi will disconnect. This is important for those using Sip Services. Also, to assure that your phone switches immediately from Wifi to Data, make sure that Avoid Poor Connections option is checked too. If you don't, your phone will stick to wifi even if there is very little signal, therefore, preventing switching to data.
WARNING: If you were on ICS, you will get a bootloop unless you upgrade to JB kernel and Roger basebands (untick everything but kernel and exclude everything but roger baseband) before or right after flashing and before rebooting.
As usual, I am not responsible for bricking your device. You are doing it at your own peril.
Here is the link.

Please try and enjoy.

Bugs: No fancy/schmancy claims of thunder, stability, vengeance, rapture and smoothness, while you can't boot the device, but everyhing works fine on my phone. I have tried my best, but there could be bugs: you tell me.
Instructions:
You must have CWM Recovery, be rooted and have JB on your device.
WARNING: If you were on ICS, you will get a bootloop unles you upgrade to JB before or right after flashing and before rebooting.
As usual, I am not responsible for bricking your device. You are doing it at your own peril.

There are no "tweaks" that claim thunder and battery savings in this rom. There are no tweaks here that bring apps into ram by those who have very little knowledge of how Android shuts down apps that claim ram. So all those tweaks do is bring the app into ram, then the system shuts them down, then the script brings the app in again and gets shut down over and over again to result in stress on cpu and battery. This rom has all apps except facebook and google framework, which are responsible for draining your battery. In the version I use on my phone, I removed all Google apps, social apps, proxies, conversation, stock e-mail, browsers, anthall radios, various adapters, update, ota and other garbage... . I use Naked browser, textsecure, K9 mail and Adaway. I also use Xposed framework with Xprivacy. As a result, I have over 24hrs on a single charge with regular usage...
Downloading and will test extensively thanks and your logic on ram and "tweaks" makes complete sense btw
Great work friend..another rom and another joy for ion..

OP said Google framework is deleted
Sorry to hear that. Here is the original GoogleServices framework. Put it into your system/apps directory, adjust permissions and reboot. There are also Googleapps on this forum that work without Google Services framework....

There are also 2 more original apps that may relate to Googleaps f/c. Googlefeedback and Iddagent. They also must be installed to system/apps with appropriate permissions.
Another option is to use GAPPS from custom roms like the ones from here:
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
To sum up: either install the missing apps I provided in this and the previous post or get GAPPS for custom roms. In the latter case, you will have to first uninstall original GAPPS and then install new ones.
Vertical Battery Icon and Quick Settings
For those who would like to have Toggles and Quick Settings show up in display settings you can do this:
1. Get this modified Settings apk (modified by me); and
2. Download and flash in recovery Quick Settings by Jjwrongjj
Manually install Settings.apk with root explorer to system/apps with appropriate permissions and then flash Quick Settings in recovery. Wipe dalvik cache and reboot.

Can anyone confirm if they are able to use GAPPS in this version?
So does this not need the 96 kernel like some of the other ports? Don't guess it would hurt to try.

There is no 96 kernel anyway, so yeah.
If any one tried, Does the latest Cyber-shot mod by Rizal Lovens camera works with this rom?

Actually there is a 96 kernel for the S and some of the Ion ports such as Existenz says to use it. Was just curies as I have Aoba black booted at the moment. Decided to go with it seeing as it was newer and seemed to be the better option for me. I must say it does run quite nice.

Still, there is no .96 kernel for Ion.This misunderstanding is fault of posters who do not change their ported roms installation manuals or description.
Also, you should probably try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485148, it is newer version of this ROM and has more fixes/optimizations.
