[REQUEST] DSP MANAGER for Stock Roms - Galaxy Ace S5830 Themes and Apps

Hey guys, I wonder how to install a fully working DSP Manager with the exact sound effects on my SGSII ROM V7.2 but it didn't work...... Is there anyone can help me? Any help will be appreciated.
But before you reply, read this:
1) I already paste the dspmanager.apk in system/app/ and set permissions.
2) I already paste the Cyanogen audio lib files in lib/soundfx and changed permissions. The "volume+" was deleted.
3) I checked the compatibility like the baseband, rom, android version etc.
4) The whole app didn't work. I was exploring around the internet to find out why but there's no answer....
5) I tried it out with stocklite 7.1 but it still happens.
6) Somebody tried out but they worked.
7) I almost threw my phone into a shredder because I'm too disappointed, especially for a music lover....omg....:crying:
Dspmanager is a very good eq app and it changes the sound effects without effecting other other frequency and that's why everyone was amazed by this app.
So I'm going to do this on my stock roms. Once the work is done I'll post and share on here and you guys can install dspmanager on stock roms with the easiest way!

there should a thread related to beats audio. Flash that and use DSP. I did that when I was on stock..once upon a time..

go to adrenaline rom thread look for dsp manager patch .

[Q] DSP Manager on Juggernaut?

I know the DSP Manager is from the CyanogenMod and this question should be asked in the Juggernaut ROM section, but here it is anyways.
I want to know if it is possible to install DSP Manager and make it fully functional, while on the Juggernaut Rom? Also, if anyone knows how, please could you write up a tutorial of some sort?
Thank you very much in advance!!!
Bump! +10 Char!
I'm using it on Juggernaut 3.7 ROM. You need the dsp manager apk. Google it for the apk, then search how to install apk android. The forum won't allow me to post links just yet. It's not too difficult to install.
Apparently, for the Manager to work, I need to change base system frameworks, could you please write how to make the Manger work please?

How did you get this to work??
I know from the vibrant, that Samsung uses a customized libaudio.so ..... I tried to switch this out for the same dsp and got a kernel panic ...
Yeah seriously! How do we get DSP Manager working?!
I can't really explain why it isn't working for you. I used these forums as a guide to install it. I also know you could flash Beast Mod 2.0, as it has dsp manager built in. Use titanium backup to back up the app and data for it. RE flash current rom. Then just restore it from there.
Hey there is an app that you get in the market that installs it for you. I am using it on juggernat 4.1 and I have used it on many other roms. The name of the app is root tool box pro. I forget if I had to pay for it or not but it cant be more than $2.00. It installs it for you so you dont have to worry about doing anything. It has a bunch of goodies I think that you go to the menu called other and then you go to install cyanogen dsp manager.

ZPlayer Not Working! -_-

Im running Creed's V2.1. I guessed Xloud was the cause and so, i flashed an edited version of Xloud which the Dev said would fix my problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559978
Didn't work.
I tried disabling Xloud by editing the Build.prop file. Didn't work either.
Tried installing DSP from my Titanium backup, but it was getting force closed.
I paid for the app and it not working only means I've wasted my money. The app wouldn't even open but after I flashed the edited version of Xloud, it would open, but it wouldn't play.
I'd love to stick to the ROM. Could anything be done about this? Any kinda help would be appreciated!
xloud mod replace some of of lib files in /system/lib. try to find the ordinary files then replace the one in that folder.
Wow. That didn't help in the least. What are they named? What should I replace them with?
the files are libaudioeffect_jni.so libxloudwrapper.so. in my past experience replacing libaudioeffect_jni.so with the original one from stock rom could solve these problem
this might help you.

Well, people might want to use them on AOSP roms too.

it's better if they then use dsp manager with beats audio support or so...or just also noozxoide app ....but ok someone can try and look ....but i thought it can't work on aosp/cm roms because the sense framework isn't in these roms?
SRS Can't technically be ported onto AOSP without the required Framework or an app that can load those libraries and configs correctly (e.g AwesomeBeats) so just adding the srs libraries and configs in AOSP roms wont really do anything...
Also, we would need the correct audiofx to appear in the framework in order to emulate the exact effect like on Sense roms
I'm not saying that this is bad, just a tip for you in the future

is this mod make beats icon appears in status bar like sense roms ?

[APP](Update) DSPManager for 4.3 & 4.4+ TouchWiz

I decided to take matters into my own hands after failing to find a working DSPManager for our devices running on 4.3 TouchWiz, and after trial and error it is now fully working :victory:
What is DSPManager?
DSP Equalizer
Gives enhanced sound processing capabilities. A simple application called DSPManager is provided to adjust the new audio parameters such as bass boost, 6 band equalizer, virtual room effect for all system audio. (slightly edited from http://www.cyanogenmod.org/features/dsp-equalizer)
Below I have put together a guide to a working DSPManager for our device on 4.3 TouchWiz
What it includes:
A flashable zip containing the DSPManager.apk, along with updated libs needed to run for our device.
That's pretty much it, nothing special.
REQUIREMENT:
Not be running the stock Samsung 4.3 kernel. Otherwise you will get nothing but forcecloses from DSPManager.
Flash something like decimalman's 4.3 kernel in the development thread. You can also try DocHoliday77's insecure kernel or others but I only did testing with decimalman's kernel. If you use another kernel and DSPManager works for you please post it so others can know
Proceed ONLY after you are sure you are not running stock Samsung 4.3 kernel
What you need:
1) Root access.
2) Root browser.
3) Custom recovery to flash the zip.
What you need to do:
1) Download the zip in attachment and have it in either your internal or external memory card.
2) Navigate to /system with your preferred root browser and open the file build.prop
3) After opening the file, search for the following lines:
lpa.decode=true and lpa.use-stagefright=true
Edit this two lines to:
lpa.decode=false and lpa.use-stagefright=false
4) After doing so, saves changes and reboot your device into recovery mode.
5) Navigate to zip location and flash it.
6) Clear dalvik and cache and reboot your phone.
7) Enjoy!
Other devices confirmed working:
I9300 (S3 International)
SGH-M919 (S4 T-Mobile)
Note 3
Other notes:
You can also push each file to their respective locations in /system, set permissions, and reboot. It will work.
I also know there are other audio mods out there so please don't post replies saying that so and so mod is better or things like that.
I've tried other mods and I just happen to prefer DSPManager so I thought I would make it accessible to anyone else who would also want it
It might also work for other devices and rom bases but I only tested it with my SGH-T999 on 4.3 MJC, so that's why I put TouchWiz in the tile and file name.
If you use the compression option but it doesn't work for you in the included zip, try using the one found here (app is not system wide)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50322383 thanks to mikehorizon for mentioning

THANK YOU!!!
Runs perfectly and effects are applied to all apps.
Here's my setup: Smartdroid Simple (4.3), Boeffla Kernel.
I've been searching for a working DSP manager for I9300 4.3 for ages.
Tried countless versions with many kernels. None of them worked. Either DSP manager's effect were not applied or it worked only for 10-15-30 minutes, then stopped applying the effects.
Installed this on a fresh 4.3 stock rom with boeffla kernel.
This version is still not working.....but....
The dynamic range compression is not working at all.
The other effects stops in conditions of multitasking (listening to music while browsing the web with the default browser) or after a while(30-60 minutes) with the screen off.
....But strangely dsp comes back after 1 -2 seconds. This is the new thing. It's a step forward :good:
Surely there's got to be a way to fix these issues.
Players used: poweramp (here the compression works but it doesn't do what's supposed to do), jet audio and Tune in for online radio.
The only configuration I've managed to have dsp manager work fully (multitasking, screen off, compression) is with the stock 4.1.2.
I would really like to make the transition to 4.3 cause it is slightly faster than 4.1.2 and the wanam xposed is working also.
Well don't know what to do about the compression, it works fine for some players.. it works for play music too.. and for dsp being automatically killed that's the system killing it, that's happened to me since ICS, but it does start back up by itself..
Edit: I can multitask and it doesn't get killed that often though, just about the same as it always does

OK, I've realized why it was working without interruption in my 4.1.2. I installed an Xposed module that locked DSP manager in memory (XpossedAppSettings).
Did the same thing on 4.3 and it's ok now. No more stops when heavy multitasking.
I will also try some things and report back if successful.
Yep it works, compression also.
What I did:
- clear data on DSPManager from app info.
- renamed all in /system/libs/soundfx
- deleted /system/app/DSPManager.apk
- renamed /system/etc/audio_effects.conf
- renamed /system/etc/audio_policy.conf
- renamed /system/vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf
Reboot to recovery.
Flashed the version attached. I don't remember now where I got it but surely somewhere from xda.
Wipe cache, wipe dalvik.
Reboot.
Installed XposesAppSettings.
Check "resident" on DSP manager.Save
Reboot.
This version is working fully, compression also. No interruption on heavy multitasking. My phone became very laggy after opening every app I have , but still dsp manager surviving......
....Or the version in this thread also working all the time but with no compression.
Your choice.
The resident check was the breakthrough.
Thanks for the report, I'll add this info to the OP

[Lollipop] Sound mod - Viper4Android [SOLVED]

Hello there,
I already searched but found nothing at all.
Is there any sound mod compatible with stock Lollipop (LRX21P)?
I tried an universal DSPmanager zip found on the N5 forum and the lollipop version of Viper4Android (also found on N5 forums), but with no results (quality/volume/effects don't change with options on/off). I can confirm that they don't work.
Thank you very much for your help, it would be very appreciated (the earphones I bought are too bass oriented and listening music is awful!).
I'm updating this thread because I solved my question. Viper4Android is now working on my stock Lollipop rom (on Flo).
Steps (root and custom recovery needed, update to last version of SuperSU)
1) Download the file linked below (V4A Lollipop "beta" version, taken from N5 thread) - the zip removes MusicFX and DSP if you have them (lucky you, because I hadn't)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3018995&d=1416178083
2) Change kernel to Permissive using SELinuxModeChanges app from Play Store
3) Install Busybox if you don't have it already
3) Go to developer settings, UNCHECK "Use NuPlayer"
4) Reboot to recovery and flash the V4A file
5) Clear cache
6) Reboot, open the V4A app, install drivers (from up-right menu), then reboot again
7) Set the V4A settings the way you like them*
8) Profit! Disable specific-app EQs in the single apps, and use V4A EQ instead.
Sound is waaaaay waaaaaay better now. Can calibrate sound on my earphones, finally.
Thanks for posting your fix! Gonna give it a try now.
Awesome! Just what I was waiting for. I been looking all over but apparently missed this one. I am going to try this now.
Pffffff Viper4android working again on my N7 lollipop . Very important, thanks for this info.
Now the question is: is it bad / harmful to use my Nexus 7 with the kernel in Permissive mode?
Verstuurd van mijn Nexus 7
but are your IRS convolver files working? because it isn't for me.
