When I send a smiley face or any emoticon I can see it on my screen but the recipient cant see it on their phone. It is android to android. If they send me an emoticon I can see it. I have tried sending emoticon's to a lot of people and even though on my screen it shows up the receiving phone can't see it.
Can anyone please help

Quick questio n- sometimes when my phone range is poor and I send an SMS, it fails. No big deal. However it sits in the 'Drafts' SMS folder.
Is there a way i can get the IIs to automatically keep retrying to send the sms? cos what i'm doing at the moment is going in and re-sending it manually!
It's also annoying because i hit send, and leave the PDA, thinking that the sms was sent... and sometimes it hasn't!
I don't know of a solution, but I also wish there were some workaround.
A related problem I've discovered is if you use the NEW menu on the today scrren to send a mesage to a few people. If the sms fails for any reason whatsoever, you do not get any notification until you pen Messaging yourself, and then, you also don't know who did not receive the message..
One of those little annoying bugs..

is there any 3rd party sms software that could solve this problem?
Hello I just got the ota of jellybean 4.3. Now on text messages there is a small contact picture next to every text i send or receive. is there a way to remove this ? . I know it sounds silly but it bugs me to see a pic of the person i am texting every time i get a text from them. I have tried searching but have not found anything on this. If ther eis a thread already about this can someone point me in the right direction? Thanx
I tried hitting the 'Sym' button on the keyboard for the Emojis menu but it doesnt pop up for facebook. Anyone know how to access the emojis for Samsung Note 4 to use on facebook?
Press and hold the microphone button next to the sym button, then click the smiley face and they're in there..
Are you guys able t see emojis when they are sent from you in text messsages and if you send them can the recipient see them? Im having that problem and it is very frustrating because my friends with S5s can send and receive them with no issue. Thanks.

first time I sent a txt my on my note 4 with emoji in it, a popup came up and said something to the effect of "if you send this text message then the recipient wont be able to see emoji, if you want the recipient to see emoji send this message as __________ instead.."
I cant remember what the keyword was though (the __ blank)
of course there was a "don't show this message again" checkbox, but if you clicked "ok" then it would send and wouldn't necessarly show the emoji in recipients txt msg, however if I clicked the other button, it wasn't called "cancel", I forget, then it would change the send mode for text messages and send emoji's so the recipient could see them..
im sorry I so vague on all the specifics, but perhaps you are sending in the wrong 'mode'? maybe someone else with some more knowledge can chime in.
I'm trying to help my boss who has an Amazon Fire Phone. He is having issues where when he sends out a text, then his same text will come back in but as it's its coming in from a reply. His text is on one side and then his text comes thru on the screen on the other side. He said it only seems to happen when he is sending out a message to someone with an iPhone. Wondering if this is fixable.
I am having a delay in receiving text messages even after altering the bat saver settings for the messaging app to run in the background.
So I send myself a text from another phone and I get no message.
Then I open messages and still no text.
Then I send a message out and all the messages I have been waiting one appear.
Can someone please help me on how to fix this issue?

It's like the push notification isn't activated until a long time or after I send a message. Also when I do send the message to trigger the receiving of messages there is a slight pause that says sending on the outgoing message.

Sorry, I’m interested in buying this phone and I was just stopping by to see what folks had to say about your issue. Could you tell me did you ever figure out what your issue is?
Never experienced such an issue with mine...
I get SMS messages pretty fast after they have been sent (for instance verification codes and so on)
Myne is an EU version if that makes any difference...
