I'm trying to help my boss who has an Amazon Fire Phone. He is having issues where when he sends out a text, then his same text will come back in but as it's its coming in from a reply. His text is on one side and then his text comes thru on the screen on the other side. He said it only seems to happen when he is sending out a message to someone with an iPhone. Wondering if this is fixable.

i really appreciate the threaded messages in android phones but i have a strange experience with it once in a while. When you text back and forth you get all these messages in like a chat form following the order of the conversation but sometimes i would all get my messages in a cluster while the response of my friend would be thrown somewhere in the beginning or at the end. I have no problem with sending and receiving but they sometimes don't come in the right order. I don't know if i have explained myself well or if you guys can see my problem. Anyway if anyone has the same experience and a solution i would really appreciate that. Thanks
I don't text that much but I noticed if I receive a reply the same minute I sent the text the order will be messed up. Haven't found nor looked for a solution yet, doesn't happen that often to bother me.

Hi, I am having more odd problems in that some text messages that come in with no number pick a random contact (appears to be the same one). Also, i sometimes get texts from different people appearing in the same thread (as a conversation with someone else) and when you click reply it goes to the wrong person...... very odd..... im not sure what is going on there but has anyone experienced this? This might be me not knowing something or doing something wrong though...... many thanks in advance, matt
This also happens to my girlfriends phone. When she receives a text from a no number (ie a text from Orange 241, or a National Express ticket) it appears as it is from my cousin...
It does another odd thing too, where when she turns the phone on she gets a black text message every time from no number.

I have an unlocked Desire, my mom has an iPhone 4, we're on a family plan on AT&T in the US. I can send/receive picture messages to/from everyone, she can send/receive picture messages to/from everyone, we can send text messages to each other, I can send picture messages to her, BUT SHE CAN'T SEND PICTURE MESSAGES TO ME. When she does, my phone's screen comes on and the "H / 3G" icon lights up to show it's downloading something, and then no message shows up. It doesn't say "downloading error" or anything, it just acts like nothing ever happened. However, I had a few of my friends with iPhone 4's to send me picture messages and they always worked perfectly. AT&T tech support has no idea what's going on, except perhaps it's some weird server issue due to her being on an iPhone plan and me being on a regular data plan and us being on the same family text plan. But no one really knows. Before she had the iPhone she had a Motorola KRZR and we never had this issue.
Anyone have ANY IDEA what could be going on here? She thought maybe I accidentally changed something in my phone settings to block MMS's from her phone number, but I'm not sure that's even possible. Any thoughts?

It sounds like an issue with MMSC Router Profile for those devices and related to a CUG or call user group glitch. Are you on a " Family " Plan?

Yes we are. My dad is also on the plan, and it works fine when he tries to send me picture messages, and when my mom sends him picture messages.
Hey guys I'm having an issue with sending texts. I sometimes send texts in spanish, and whenever I put in a word that has an accent mark on it it cuts the number of allowable characters to 70 instead of the normal 160. it then says it's sending it in multiple texts which i wouldnt mind TOO much, but then the receiver says they receive a text full of random numbers and no words. does anybody have an idea of what the issue is?
Maybe try Handcent and see if the issue persists. It a seperate texting app. If that doesnt do i have no idea how to solve your issue. Seems kinda strange anyways. Hope that helps ya out.
I keep having a problem receiving texts.
When I was using my Galaxy S3, I would get one text if it was longer than 160 characters. Now on my Note 4, I will get them broken up and I won't get each separate piece of the texts.
This is getting texts from both Androids and iPhones.
I have to tell the person sending the text to take a screenshot, so I can see the message.
Does anyone have a solution?
I've used the stock messaging app and Chomp.
