i've tried to install new themes on my p6 since i got it and never had any luck.
all the tutorials i watch tell me the same:
download theme you like from this site - http://zh.ui.vmall.com/theme.php?mod=list&display=1&model=P6&version=EMUI1.6&page=12
save as .hwt (which it already is)
connect phone via usb cable as MTP
copy .hwt file to the HW Themes folder in Internal storage
i do that disconnect my phone. go to themes and i still only have the 6 preinstalled themes!!! >=[
why isnt this working????
You must put the theme in HWThemes folder in SD card.

well since i dont have an sd card in my phone that's impossible!!!
You don't need an SD card for themes, same folder exists in internal memory as well....
so i get 2 replies to this trhead both regardsing an sd card.
clearly my first post stated the .hwt file was pasted to the theme folder on the INTERNAL MEMORY (and no it wasnt put on the sd card by mistake bc I DONT HAVE MEMORY CARD IN THE PHONE!!!!)

I put a theme into internal memory folder and it works fine for me. Maybe you didn't download the theme properly/fully. If not working despite this, do a factory reset or install latest firmware.
After putting the file in hwthemes folder what happens?

Alright, so youve got plenty of random files and stuff stuck on your SD card, that just take up memory. What stuff you do remove? If im rooted do i need all of those root files that i used to root my phone?
Whats the best way to clean it up?
Once your rooted you do not need any files on your sd card related to rooting, you can remove those, what i did was copy the entire contents of my sd card to my computer, then formated my sd card from the phone then only transfered back files I was using or needed for certain apps to function. Cleaned it up and gained valuable storage space.
oh, sweet. thanks for your repsonse. how did you go about copying the files to your computer? like did you just copy and paste the files to...wherE?

Just mount your phone as an external storage device, it will come up under your "My Computer" on your computer as another drive, then just create a new folder on your computer somewhere, then open the phones drive up just copy and paste the files from your phone to the folder on your computer. Remember to keep the file you removed, just in case you forget to move something back that you needed you can always go back into the file and move it back to the phone.
Just FYI..the folder "clockworkmod" in ur sd card contains your recovery and all ur nandroid backups..you might wanna keep that one onboard..
When i try to download some files (not using market) it says that i need SD card. How to fix it?
Does anyone experience this problem too? I just cant download most of the files unless i can find them on the market. Why does it say i have no sd card whhy i have, i cant even run android without it.
1.-Backup SD card to your computer
2.-Download HP format tool (google) and format sdcard FAT32+FULL FORMAT
3.-Restore sd card contents
4.-Try again.
Also, which build are you using? XDAndroid or neopeek variants?
I am using xdandroid posted by aaarghh
From THIS thread? That has the most up-to-date and working package build, to my knowledge.
Give it a once over and leave some feedback. Format FAT32 is suggested.
I have formated and cleared sd card. Downloaded the package with new android and problem still occurs :/.
Even if i go to setting-location and security-install from sd card it says that sd card isnt present. It says there is no sd card under SD CARD/PHONE STORAGE(or something like that) too.
-Where should i put apk file to install it?
You are using an at&t Fuze/RAPH110/TP, right?
You can put the APK under the folder called AndroidApps
Additionally, make sure you are using something other than the windows format tool. (FAT32 ofc). Also, I've heard of these situations (not able to download from Market) with the earlier builds such as Eclair and Donut but very rarely with FroYo. Not saying that it is impossible, just that you are the first person I have attampted to help with this issue
Greetings everyone,
After almost a year of using xperia arc and plenty of cleanups with SEUS I never formated my SD Card. I have a 16GB class 6 one which is half full (Mostly with music, pictures and videos) and yet its full of folders from Apps i used in the past.
The question is; If i delete everything from sd card via computer, then re-mount the card will the needed folders be replaced? Also I have moved apps to sd which i still use, will the folders be replaced aswell?
and last; I already copied all the files i need to my computer, if I will re-download an app and paste the folder back there, will I have the saves back?

a bit difficult, try to delete the unused folders instead
but if you do the right backup of the needed data, yes the data will be there.
and the deleted folders created by system should be recreated

You must make sure that you format your SD card with FAT32 file system. If you are using Windows OS then there is no need to get worried.Just go ahead with the normal procedure.
Once you format, all the folders and files will be deleted and when you mount it in your phone, the necessary files and folders will be created on its own. These necessary files do not belong to the applications you moved to SD card and it means that you must create a back up of your apps before you format your card,in order to use the apps even if you format your sd card.
I would suggest "Titanium Backup" app to back-up your apps. And when you are done with the back up, make sure that you copy the folder named "TitaniumBackup" from your sd card to your PC/Notebook and then format your card.

Thank you Guys For your help
I have a 32Gb SD Card with about 12Gb available and 9 Gb available on internal memory. I have always download ROM zips to my computer and copied with a USB connection to my Phone in order to flash the ROM. Starting 2 days ago, the last two zip files that I downloaded can no longer be copied from my computer to EITHER the SD card or the internal memory of the phone. Older zips copy fine and any other files copy to the phone fine. I can also copy these zip files to another folder on my computer! If I download these zip files directly to the phone (either internal memory or SD card) they flash fine.
The 2 zips files were Team Nocturnal Goodness 3.0 ROM and Clark's Free GS3-JB-v1.0.0SPR ROM
Is there something in the zip files that prevent copying to the phone? The error message I get is "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected."
Any input would be appreciated. Frustrating to have to use phone to download my ROMs.
