Hello all,
I recently tried to install a stock rom on my phone through Nandroid Backup. At first it looked like it had worked, but then when it asked for a pin I found out the touchscreen doesn't respond anymore. I have done the process once more, that was also unsuccessful. Anybody got an idea on how to fix this? I need to send my phone back to HTC for repairs, but it needs an stock rom then.
Thanks in advance.
PS: My CID is VODAP102, don't know if that matters?
Edit: I used this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859714
You need a newer nandroid. The one you used is to old !
Maybe you can find something useful here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45915772#post45915772
If you are on JB and nandroid backup is ICS and you are on hboot 1.39 or higher, you cannot downgrade because touch screen won't work. There is no workaround.

Ah, well, then I think I got a problem. Apparently my CID is a rarity on the internet. The only Nandroid I can find for my CID I already used, and as you said, is too old.

Ok, you need a 4.17.161.2 nandroid. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33728099 and find the backup.

They are not similar but the outcome is the same which is getting your phone to fully stock rom... with RUU it's easily done with few clicks of your mouse... but with a nandroid backup you have to everything manually...
Last week I accepted an OTA update on my One-X just running all standard (no custom roms, no root etc).
During update, it got stuck and now it keeps rebooting.
I've googled a bit about this problem, and I've done "fastboot erase cache", which didn't solve it.
I also tried a factory reset (also from the menu you get when doing vol.down+power), but that didn't help either.
It's a test phone for development, and I really need it to be in stock, standard condition, so no custom roms.
Is there any step-by-step guide available for people like me that are new to this?

Hi smart guys
Few hours ago I've decided to upgrade my phone to JB (it's about time). I was trying to run cyanogenmod 10.1.3. It ended up with error status 7 ("ro.bootloader"). I was doing everything in instructions but then I saw in HBOOT I have HBOOT-1.12.0000. Even if I run 'fastboot flash boot boot.img' (boot.img from cm-10.1.3-endeavoru.zip) it is still 1.12. Could anyone please help me how to updgrade HBOOT?

flashing boot.img does not change your hboot.
do the command "fastboot getvar all" but erase your serial number and imei
get your cid and go here to get your firmware>>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
do a search for "one x upgrade hboot" and you will see plenty of threads to help you

to be honest, I would go back to stock and then ota up to the latest. that way your hboot, radio and everything else will be up to date and you can flash any rom you want after that

not a stock rom, a nandroid backup. I'll post a link at the end. you flash cwm recovery in fastboot, then you get the nandroid backup which matches your cid and main version, which people have kindly donated.you flash the boot.img from the nandroid that you download and you then restore the nandroid in cwm recovery as if it were a backup which you made yourself. once you have done that, you flash the stock recovery, which can be found further down the page after the backups. and when all that is done your phone will be fully stock and you will start to receive official OTA's until your phone is on the latest version for your part of the world. this will also upgrade your hboot to the latest version and then you can flash the latest custom rom's or just stay on stock.
follow the instructions EXACTLY >>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
so basically, look for your cid, HTC_032 and then click the link for the 2.17.401.2 nandroid
So I've found an answer...

i have some bizarre things going on with my new HTC one m8
I rooted and flashed a custom ROM, but the WiFi stopped working (i flashed it to Android_Revolution_HD-One_M8_21.0)
so... i tried to get it back to stock (major pain) but i ended up restoring a backup of a 4.3 stock ROM i found on the web - EE (ORANG001) 1.54.61.5 (Philz)
hurrah everything worked great until an OTA popped up, i installed the update and again the WiFi stopped working
any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? oh I cant get s-off either, I tried rumrunner and sunshine

your phone is the first i have seen that Sunshine will not work ...what was the error ?
flash the 4.3 stock ROM EE (ORANG001) 1.54.61.5 (Philz) you have and flash the stock recovery that goes with it
do a factory reset from the stock recovery and try the OTA again
Flashing any 4.4.4 based rom requires the latest firmware be flashed first if you don't already have it.... Or WiFi won't work. ?
Need to update cid and flash 4.4.4 firmware in order to run ANY 4.4.4 rom. Only thing I can think of is a mismatched firmware is the only place I have seen this occur with certain users devices and also did you flash the kernel seperately? I believe if still s-on this has to be done manually
