[Q] ISIS Mobile Wallet on Rooted One - Verizon HTC One (M7)

Hello, anyone know how to get ISIS working on a rooted HTC One. I saw there was a fix for the S4, was wondering if that worked for the One.

I would rather use Google Wallet, but I'm taking advantage of the promotional with ISIS. 20% cash back!

I can't answer your question, however I am a little less bothered by Isis because I got $50 free for getting the Serve card that links to my bank account. I'll take $50. That'll fill one tank of gas

I can confirm that the method described in the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425346 will bypass root check on the HTC One. And I received $50 for signing up for a Serve account!

I can confirm this no longer works, at least for the Venom KitKat ROM. I had it working, went to the Venom One ROM, and now none of the tricks works.
If anyone can prove me wrong, I'd be tickled.
Google Wallet works like a boss, though.

I just got Isis working on my rooted One yesterday. I installed XPosed Framework and RootCloak, that's all it took.

I installed ISIS and the RootCloak module. Whenver I launch the application and click 'Get Started' I get "Your phone can't connect to the 3G or 4G mobile network right now. Please try again later."
I'm running NuSenseONE Max RC8 rom.

I wonder if it's related to the rom... I flashed Viper One to my phone this weekend and Isis doesn't play nice anymore. In the play store it said it's not compatible with my device. Installing from my titanium backup just blows up when I try to open it. So it works with the hardware, it works with Kit Kat, but it's now not working on a non stock rom. Does anyone here have it working on a rom that's not from Verizon?

I was just in the Verizon store today and the rep had told me it has to do with Sense. Apparently it doesn't work on 5.5 yet.
Not sure if that was accurate or a cop-out reply, but that's what I was told.

Not accurate, based solely on that. It was working for me on the NOS ROM with Sense 5.5.

Galaxy Nexus Came rooted???

Hey,
I bought a Galaxy Nexus here in Vietnam and just realized that it is running a custom rom and has been rooted. The phone was new (no scratches and had the original plastic covering the screen)... My friends here tell me that iPhones are often sold jailbroken so I was wondering if this is normal here??? English is a major challenge so I'm not sure if I will be able to get more information from them...
Everything seems to be working totally fine... just curious.
Post a screen shot of settings/about phone. Do you have superuser apk installed?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Here you go...
Superuser is installed.
Not sure why the picture didn't work... here is a link.
In Vietnam beware of the originality of the phone. It's easy to reseal the phone/box/accessoires,etc.
Definitely they sold you an used item. Go back to the store to get a refund or exchange for real new one.
Hope it helps.

I agree, the OP got sold a used phone.
yeah, i was probably used, or possibly a refurbished phone.
i head of people getting a Certified like new replacement (refurbished) HTC thunderbolt that was rooted with a sense 3.5 ROM on it.
but the phone is def. not a NEW phone from samsung. also, being rooted, who knows what kind of tracking stuff could be on that phone. i would take it back and do the rooting process yourself just to make sure.

Eh, you could always just reflash the factory image instead. That'll pretty well get rid of anything that could be installed on the phone.
Or use fastboot -w to wipe it all and then reflash whatever you want to be on it.
Assuming all the hardware works, of course.

I suppose the OP is in Hanoi Vietnam.
Do you like the food ?
either you paid a very good price and the phone works perfectly, in this case just flash a full official image. You can find them on code.Google.com
Either you paid the full price for a new one or it doesn't work or look fine, in that case I would go back to the shop and ask for a real new one or a refund

Sorry I don't want to bother the OP's life. It' that because I'm from Hanoi too and I miss My hometown.
Thanks guys.... I'm going to head down there today and find out what they say. I'm hoping that they happened to get the extended battery in too!

What is the store's name ? street ?
or, better yet. leave it rooted and install Adfree, Titanium Backup, RM, CWM, WiFi tether etc.... Unlock the bootloader right away while you're at it (since it'll do a wipe/reset) and then go flash some roms!

Sprint GNexus - Google Wallet on AOKP

So I have a nexus running AOKP 40, I have google wallet set up and a card added. Beam is on and NFC is set to activate when screen is unlocked. I tried to make some purchases at two different walgreens today but there was no response from google wallet when I put it up to the reader.
Anyone else having this issue? I've restored to stock and will try that later when I go out, hoping its just the rom and not something deeper.
Thanks for any help.
What kind of reader? Was it that clear blue plastic looking reader?
Sent from my sprint galaxy nexus
Yeah it was at a Walgreens. The clear blue reader with the symbol at the top for NFC.
You may know this but I had the happen a couple times but the reason was the phone wasn't on the pad correctly. I found that the Center of the phone is a good spot for the transaction. I tried the top half and it wouldn't work half the time

Yeah those aren't the right ones you need the solid readers those are strictly for the cards I guess. Its not the ROM or the phone those just plain don't work.

Yeah mine looked slightly similar .. but didnt see google wallet or anything similar. It could be that they just havent set it up yet...
they look something similar to This although this one looks newer the ones i've had succes with are the ones at like CVS or 7/11 .
Alright thanks. Is there any way to find stores that have these readers other than just hunting them down?
I found the tool on the official google wallet site. Thanks for all the help.
Interestingly enough, none of the walgreens in my area show up as vendors that support it.

Fast dormancy code please

Anyone know the code for disabling fast dormancy?
I was going to b*tch at you for not googling but nothing came up when I searched and when I dialed *#9900#, I did not see the option.
Have you tried the i9300 app?

if you check the source for that app HERE the author claims it works fine on the Note II.
I don't see why it wouldnt work on the USA variants, but nobody has one yet.. much less rooted one.

That's my website, the other editor besides me with a Note II has used the guide on his. It works. We don't do 'how to' guides for things we haven't done to our own devices.
Two things
Before install the application be sure you have installed busybox (and of course rooted)
Tried it few days and had battery drain on 3g (after diasbling FD my phone works most of the time in 200mhz...i had the same appls, same setup, same rom before and after diasbling FD with this application)

EDIT: Works great after re-applying root using the Galaxy Toolbox. Not sure how I lost it root in the first place though! Anyway, great app!

NFC for HTC One Verizon on Kit Kat?

From what I understand so far, there's no real NFC payment solution for HTC One Verizon
- Google Wallet needs a secure element which HTC One on Verizon does not have
- ISIS doesn't install on my phone, says not compatible
I saw this article on Android Police, does it mean when Android 4.4 Kit Kat comes out (Jan-Feb) we will be able to use Google Wallet because there's an emulation workaround for the secure element?

I followed that and was able to successfully make an NFC payment with Google Wallet on a 4.3 ROM (Viper ROM and VanirAOSP). There was a vending machine where it did not work, but I suspect it was because it was ISIS exclusive.

Because the HTC One is still incompatible with Google Wallet, except for some specific variants, and some random outliers. It'd be interesting to see if you're one of those outliers, so I'd like to see proof of a recent payment made via Google Wallet on the HTC One.

Nah its the modded Google Wallet that makes it so anyone can use it.
There are lots of phones that are technically incompatible with Google wallet...like ALL Verizon phones. But that's what xda is for, people have modded it to be able to work. Modded Google Wallet works on HTC One, as well as other vzw phones.

I have used Tap to Pay on 4.2.2, 4.3 and now 4.4 with no issues using the modified APK. My phone did come with the NFC enabled SIM. My understanding is some don't.

You can't mod out a hardware requirement.
This is what's happening: Sprint versions of the HTC One have a hardware secure element. It would seem that Verizon variants also have a hardware secure element. This makes sense since they're both CDMA variants, so it's perhaps a cost-saving exercise via reduced production lines. That's why all the reported cases of modded versions of Google Wallet have come from Verizon subscribers.
However, international variants of the HTC One do NOT have a hardware secure element. They can't currently make payments with Google Wallet, no matter how hard 'devs' try.
The introduction of 4.4 brought support for payments without a secure element via HCE, but this is currently only possible with Broadcom-based devices. The HTC One is NXP-based.
As far as I'm aware, until Google updates the Android 4.4 code base to support HCE in NXP devices, GSM variants of the HTC One will be unable to make NFC payments via Google Wallet. They'll be able to install the application, and it'll claim that Tap and Pay will work, but payment terminals will simply not recognise the phone.
If somebody with a GSM variant of the HTC One can post proof that they've successfully made a payment with 4.4, then that would mean that HTC/NXP/Other manufacturers have collaborated with Google over the past few weeks to get extended HCE compatibility into Android or their builds.

Oh sorry guys was at work when I saw the reply and forgot to reply once I was home. I've since reset my watch so will have to set it up again as it's a workaround mainly dealing with Samsung pay on the watch by downgrading aswell as moving busy box to external SD card from xbin folder. I also hid Samsung services from magisk and hid magisk manager itself running v19.2 but think it worked without having to do that step for me. I can't use it as spay doesn't support my bank or credit cards yet but I'll try and get it working again and post back in the next 1-3 days.
