WARNING!
NOTE:
Keep in mind that this are early Beta builds!!!!!! Means bugs can happen. So please only use this builds if you want to help us and iron out the bugs with proper bug-reports etc.
If you get error while flashing, go to advanced->reboot to recovery and flash again.
If you get SU issues, flash SuperSU v1.80.zip from chainfire's thread.
BUG REPORTING
When you submit a bug-report, you want to make sure that nothing from your side is causing it. Otherwise we might be hunting a bug which doesn't really exist.
The best way to achieve this is by doing the following.
Make a nandroid backup.
Perform a full wipe (factory reset + wipe /system) Now we have two different ways depending on what kind of problem you're having.
When you're having a problem with a ROM function, flash just the ROM without GAPPS, and boot back into the system. You will boot directly onto the home-screen.
When you're having a problem with a 3rd party app in combination with our ROM then flash the ROM and GAPPS.
Boot now back into the system. You will boot to the setup wizard. Log in to your Google account but make sure that you untick "Restore from my Google Account to this phone/tablet". Finish the setup and open the playstore and download only the app you're having problems with.
Start a logcat recording and reproduce the bug (if possible more than once) while taking the logcat. If you don't know how to get a logcat read this tutorial or this.
Post the logcat in a text file (this is important because you otherwise clog up the threads with your log) in the correct thread. Please also write detailed description how we can reproduce the bug.
Restore your backup from point 1 and wait for a fix (PLEASE don't ask for ETAs).
Omg, thank you!
Yeah. But it's not slimbean anymore
Nice early Christmas present Can't wait for the download to finish and try this Great Job and Thank You !

What about the new launcher? can we have it?
Flash slim aio gapps. It's there.
thanks!!
Dunno if this is intended or not, but :
1. In System Settings, there is no Performance section (I've clicked 7 times on build number and it unlocks only Developer options). I am using Semaphore Manager anyway but just wanted to point that the section is missing.
2. There is no arrow animation on the Network and WiFi icons in statusbar when internet is used.
3. There is no Kill All button in Recent Apps window (long press Home button)
These are not bothering me, the ROM is fast and looks good.

You must have a cm10.2 stock kernel (recovery) to flash it, that means you need to install cm10.2 first then reboot recovery, do a full wipe and then install slimkat and gapps.

Speaking of build.prop tweaks, this is worth reading Examining build.prop tweaks. Some so-called tweaks could actually be detrimental, while others are not even used.
This is not to discourage the development of this ROM. Just some thoughts to be more judicious in taking in the so-called performance improvements found and propagated on various forums and blogs.

Some hints:
1. Be sure you are on latest CWM or TWRP recovery!!!!!!
2. Not all gapps packages right now are nice working. You can try others but at least I know that the one linked here is working. If you have other gapps which are working you can link it here of course
3. Full wipe when coming from any 4.3 or 4.4 rom (as well format system manually please)

ORIGINAL CREDIT TO BALDWINGUY77 OVER ON ROOTZWIKI. CHECK OUT THE ORIGINALi: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/36706-ro...a-like-stock-android-442-kot49h/#entry1031982
I'm only port to maguro.
Is a port from original rom no have base maguro only changes for use GSM networks
This ROM is Android Kitkat 4.4.2, build KOT49H. The ROM is built directly from source, that is, the Android source code published by Google available for download to all of us developers. The reason I say the ROM is "OTA-like" is because I make VERY few modifications to it, aside from the things that it takes to get the ROM working. I'll go into detail about those things below, but basically I just want the ROM to make your phone feel stable and shiny and new as if it has just received a new OTA update. That being said, it's clear that the landscape of Nexus devices is changing as new ones are released. Therefore, the other primary goal of this ROM is to keep our Galaxy Nexus as close to the modern Nexus design as possible. This means that I will also add in features that will still be stock, but will also make our phones as close to a current Nexus as possible.
As for how I handle the forum side of things, I'm always open to comments, questions, suggestions, requests, etc. I know that most of those things will often be in the form of criticism, but it's okay, I think I can handle it That being said, I do also have a life and am a college student, so I may not get to come on here ALL the time. I will check back as frequently as possible, and I'm hoping that you guys will help each other out as much as possible! Keep it friendly! So now for the details...
Features
Stock Android 4.4.2, build KOT49H
Source (AOSP) built kernel (boot.img)
(De)Odexed
Easily rootable (see information below)
G-Apps (GMail, Play Store, etc.) included in build along with Nexus apps
Stock browser replaced with Google Chrome
Shiny restart options - access them by holding down the power button and then long pressing on "Power Off"
All the crazy Google proprietary app stuff has been taken care off
Updated frequently
Everything works!
So what do I mean when I say "Everything works!"?
I'm sure by now you all know that when someone says that, it usually ends up not being true. This ROM is not an exception to that rule, but I can say that I've tested most of the things that would be expected to work in stock Android, such as...
WiFi Tethering (no subscription check)
Bluetooth streaming
Google account sign-in and auto-restore of apps and settings
Google Wallet
Location Services (pretty fast GPS lock in my area also)
Believe it or not, December is still a month!
Photosphere
Android beam
Photo editing with the new filters
Email
Exchange support
Like I said, the normal stuff (data, voice, hardware acceleration, etc.)
More things that aren't important enough to mention here - check out the changelog for a more comprehensive list

1. Download the latest version of the ROM from the download post. (Also download any other files you will need to install, such as Chainfire's Superuser Root ZIP, the radios installation ZIP, the bootloader installation ZIP, etc.)
2. Put the file(s) you downloaded in step 1 on your phone's internal storage (sdcard).
3. Turn off your phone.
4. Boot into the bootloader of the phone by holding down both volume buttons and the power button simultaneously until you feel a vibration and see a large arrow that says "Start".
5. Use the volume keys to change the arrow until it says "Recovery," then press the power button to boot into recovery.
6. Because of differences in recovery types, I will make the following steps rather generic.
7. Wipe cache.
8. Wipe dalvik cache.
9. If you want to be 100% sure there are no problems, wipe data. If you are coming from another ROM or Android version, wipe data. If you do not wipe data and something goes wrong, repeat this process but wipe data - this step is not necessary if you are simply upgrading.
10. Flash the ROM
OPTIONALS:
11. Root: If you are rooting, flash Chainfire's SuperSU ZIP file - this step is not necessary if you were rooted on the previous build and are simply upgrading.
12. Mod's: If you like any mod you can install zip now
13. Change kernel: U can change aosp stock kernel. Tiny Kernel, Fancy Kernel, Dirty V, Franco Kernel, Mpokang kernel.
14. Reboot your phone, and enjoy!

No GApps "Add-on" Zip
Some people don't like the way ShinyROM includes its own GApps. Flash this zip directly after the ROM and it will strip out most of the included GApps so that you may use the preferred GApps of your choosing. This will leave the core GApps (Store, Services, etc.) as well any others required for basic functionality (Keyboard, Camera, Launcher, Dialer, etc.) since there are none of the AOSP counterparts included.

An opportunity to have a voice to the development team of the after-market firmware that you run on your device.
The main goal of NamelessROM is to provide quality development for android devices, phones and tablets alike.
NamelessROM developers are available nearly 24/7 and respond to bug reports and feature requests almost instantly.
This availability will allow you, the end-user, to have direct input into exactly what features and functions are included on the firmware that YOU run.
NamelessROM maintains features and functions of several well-known open-source, AOSP-based ROMs, as well as many features of our own. See the screenshots in the 3rd post, and visit our website for more detailed information.

I'n surprised no one has posted anything. So far, i'm very impressed, installed and booted with no problems, everything is smooth, I like how the settings is laid out, as in not cluttered at all, i'm very impressed, great work guys! The only thing that isnt quite working is the see through option in the lockscreen settings, it shows the background as blurred though i'm guessing that may be a security setting, but other than that no problems.
Does this work on d2mtr T999L?
Should work on all d2 devices.

If your using twrp its wipe - advanced wipe - check dalvik cache + system + data + cache then swipe to wipe. Does not wipe you whole internal storage and pa gapps are fine, banks is just lighter and you can get everything else from play store.

Hello...
I am not fussing... i realize this is my fault completely being that i haven't been on the forums in a LOOOOONG time...
I was trying to install this rom today and got an error message right away.
"this package is for jflte, lfltexx, i9505, GT-i950"
I am safely assuming that this is an lte rom and not for the original 4g gs3. I tried to restore my backup and now the phone just bootloops... my only question is will odin fix it? I can boot into recovery and download mode just fine. If its something far simpler than that, and i just missed something somewhere, help to be pointed in the right direction would be appreciated. Before trying to flash the rom, i was running StockMOD SLIM ROM T999 4.3 v3.
thanks in advance

Welcome, fellow Nook users, to the future of the Nook Simple Touch! We present to you: 1337 ROM!
This ROM is made for both the Nook Simple Touch and the Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight using software version 1.2.1.
Features
New kernel, with multitouch and USB host capability
NoRefresh
Status bar and other UI tweaks
Book Button Menu (Configure the book button to open it with Nook Touch Mod Manager)
ReLaunch
Cupcake/Donut Launcher
AndroNook Settings
Google Apps

Preloaded necessity apps (trying not to say bloatware; you can uninstall them!)
More background tweaks
Installation Instructions
Install Clockworkmod Recovery (to internal memory, not the SD Card) according to this thread.
Download the latest version of the ROM from the Downloads section. THESE ARE NOT FLASHABLE FILES.
Extract the package to an accessible location. You should have three *.zip files.
Copy all three *.zip files to the SD Card or internal memory.
Boot to Clockworkmod by rebooting and holding the bottom left and right buttons at the "Your Nook is Starting Up" screen.
Wipe /system (mounts & storage > format /system > Yes)
Flash the nook_1337rom_xx.zip and reboot.
Follow through normal B&N setup, then boot back into recovery.
Flash Nooter-Part1.zip and reboot back into the OS.
You should be brought to ReLaunch instead of the B&N homescreen.
Open YouTube. Hit Menu -> My channel. At the prompt that appears, tap Add Account.
Sign in with your Google credentials (Gmail and password) and close YouTube.
Open Gmail. Tap menu -> Sync. Gmail will promptly crash (straight to home; no FC or "unfortunate" stop)
Reboot back to CWM again. This time, flash Nooter-Part2.zip.
Reboot again and enjoy!
Upgrade Instructions for coming up from previous versions of the ROM
Download the latest *.zip file and extract it somewhere safe. As a reminder: THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE FILE
Copy the three contained *.zip files to your SD card.
Reboot into recovery.
Wipe /system (mounts & storage > format /system > Yes)
Flash all three files in this order, without rebooting: nook_1337rom_xx.zip, Nooter-Part1.zip, then Nooter-Part2.zip.
Reboot.
Note - Be sure to check out the 2nd OP for the changelog, planned features, FAQ, and more.

FAQ
Q: "What home launcher does this ROM use?" - @DrNO[PL]
A: It uses the ReLaunch launcher.
Q: "Where are the downloadable files?" - @kwyrt
A: Since this thread is a DevDB project, the downloads are in a separate page, which is accessible through a link in the ribbon above the OP.
Q: "Does this project use Android 2.3?" - @dorfd1
A: No, it doesn't - the only reason the 1st OP says it does is because 2.3.x is the lowest Android version allowed in the DevDB system. This ROM uses Android 2.1.
Q: "Will multiple languages be added to this ROM?" - @DrNO[PL]
A: No, they won't, because, believe it or not, it's already a stock feature - you just need root to access it! Here's how:
1. Install the app Termimal Emulator from the Market.
2. Open it, and enter the command
Code:
su
The line should now have a "#" on the far left.
3. Enter the command
Code:
am start -n com.android.settings/.DevelopmentSettings
...which launches a hidden settings menu.
4. Tap "Locale Picker[English (United States)]".
5. Choose your language, and enjoy!
Q: "Is this ROM rooted?" - @youxiaojie
A: Yes, it is.
Q: "Are you guys working on an updated ROM that uses 2.3?" - @frap129
A: No, because as of now nobody has been able to update the Android version on the Nook Touch device. 2.1 is the version we are developing for. UPDATE - It's looking like Gingerbread and beyond may be possible for the NST, so the new answer to your question is YES.
Can you post some screenshots?
Which homeapp is used? I'm asking as the one in [NST/NSTG][ROM] Tweaked Modded ROM [Feb16] is restarting / falling into refresh loop with some of my books, which is a bit annoying

No, it's not - the DevDB options just don't allow any Android version below 2.3.x. It's really Android 2.1, just like every other Nook thing.
Sorry about that.

Just flashed and already like it from the start. New, nice pre-boot and shutdown screens and boot animation. Home is just what I searched for. Let me test it for a day or two. I'll let you know about ups and downs, pros and cons... Review comes afterwards
1st question, is there a way to make app drawer to just display icons in 4 columns (with labels or not) instead of 2-column short-list?
2nd are you going to include additional languages similar to HERE?

Glad you're enjoying the ROM!
Answer to 1st question - I bet there is, but I don't know for sure - try messing around with the ReLaunch settings a bit.

Would be nice, but that's not a show stopper.
Rom still did not crash, launcher resterted only once, but it can be my fault. Works smooth and fast. Good job!
Yet I have not opened even one book :silly: lol
In the mean time I've added some, in my opinion, bugs.
I'm going to die now... See you tomorrow

I might look into swapping the settings.apk and merging the functionality in framework-res.apk in that mod you posted. You might be able to flash that mod straight over this, but you'll lose a lot of the theming that @thenookieforlife3 originally added, notably the status bar.
does it be rooted , support init.d and app2sd?

It is rooted.
It does not support init.d yet, but we're working on it.
If App2SD works on any other regular rooted Nook, it works just fine for this ROM, too.
By the way, next time, please don't quote the OP, and save all of us from ESD (Excessive Scrolling Disorder). Also, please edit your post and delete the [quote][/quote] tags and everything in between them.

Are you guys working on compiling an updated ROM? I noticed all the changed files are included in the source other than the device tree, so I may try compiling 2.3, and if that works, higher.
