any replies please?
Provide some more details. What firmware are you on. What performance mode are you on. What did you do with your device. What exactly was 2hrs left ? If you go to power management, on the bottom there is an option for time left details for each specific function you use like calling and browsing. Also the standby time being so many hours does not mean you can actually use the device with the same amount of time. So endurance mode might give you hours of extra standby but using the device would drain the battery as usual.
The 2 hours are based on your average use. The phone doesn't know in advance how it will be used. If it is just laying on the desk it could work another 5 hours. If you are playing a heavy multi-player game, the battery will be enough just for 5-10 min.
I am on b111. Please look at my screenshot, Loon at the time left for movies. I can get 2.5 hours out of the phone, but it says 4 hours.
Also the average use you talked abought in previous post, my phone dies faster than the time left said on standby. What tweaks do you guys suggest? The battery life sucks!! Will b122 give alot of battery improvement? Thanx alot for the replys

B122 is more stable and bug free than b111.
Check if there are other apps draining your battery in the background like google apps sync or autoupdates or location service.
Gsmarena tested our device (most probably on earliest buggy firmware) and they got video playing time of 7hrs: http://blog.gsmarena.com/huawei-ascend-p6-completes-our-battery-tests-here-is-the-full-breakdown/
Set your display brightness to minimum, turn off WiFi, mobile data, synchronization, BT, GPS, screen rotation, background data and so on and test again.

Sorry I am new on this phone. I had an Galaxy Ace till a week ago, I flashed hundreds of roms, kernels, experiments. but on this phone I am afraid of brickin. Its an expensive phone. so I havent even rooted it. I cant seem to find an official B122 firmware. only leaked. so I am affraid to flash it. And I cant find an step for step guide.
Also, my mobile data is on and auto rotate. I have to keep this on otherwise there is no point for me to have this phone.

The bricking happens only with Chinese version roms and not interntional version. And only b111 is official international version. The rest are leaked.
The guides are available as pdf file, when you download the B111 from Huawei website or you can find them at huaweinews.com. And the method is same as how you upgraded to b111.
Yes sure, but it is matters like that which drain the battery more than what it says on the power manager.

hey guys plz post ur battery status here along with the radio version you hav on ur phone
this wud be of great help for future reference for all of us and to select the best Radio version
Plz charge the battery to full and use it upto the limit
lets see which Radio and Rom drains the minimum battery juice!!
Smartphone battery life is obviously the prime factor in buying a Smartphone
Thank you guys
plz join in and help all
plz update guys
it wud really go a long way in helping all
atleast post ur recent usage stats
standby 22hours
talktime 1hour
internet 30mins
now battery is at 23pc
my rom is the official htc 6.5
That will depend on the usage and can be different as some radios work better with some mobile providers
The best way is to test several combinations ROM/radio till you get the best.
I´m using latest Energy Photon 6.5.1 with radio 4.46 and my battery lasts me 36hr aprox. with a lot of usage, customization, calls, wifi, bt.

ok, how in the world are u getting such good battery life...ive got the same rom loaded and ive sent about 20 text messages and its already down to 75%....also, it appears as tho my data connection keeps turning back on by itself and i KNOW for a fact that there is nothing auto updating that would cause it to turn back on

my data connection keeps turning on and off as well. it's annoying. i've turned everything off but it still keeps coming on 3 min after i turn it off
I'd be interested in doing some kind of standardized comparison also. I read posts where some people get great battery life, some people get terrible battery life (I'm in this category), how some people's battery life improve after a few recharge cycles, etc. At this point it's hard to tell whether some people have faulty batteries, some people use their phone more than others, or some ROMs just consume more battery than others. To do a comparison, we'd had to have some kind of agreed upon methodology and here's my proposal:
1) Install acbpowermeter. Just assume that it works the way it's supposed to. Even if it doesn't, since everyone uses it, the methodology is the same so that results can be compared.
2) Whatever ROM/Radio you have, just report it.
3) With phone plugged in, soft rest your phone and wait 5 minutes for everything to get loaded.
4) Turn off the backlight, and run acbpowermeter. It will start measuring power consumption.
5) Turn off the phone right away and after 5 minutes, turn on the phone and pause acbpowermeter.
6) Report your average power consumption and total power consumption, as given by acbpowermeter.
This will give us an indication of how a ROM/radio performs with no activity. This assumes you have no other programs installed/active that contributes to power consumption, but even if you do, I don't think the results would be that far off. I'm curious to see what the idle power consumption is. You might want to run this a few times to get some consistent results before reporting. Also report if you get some spikes in the graph or if power consumption is stable during the 5 minutes. My initial results are an average of about 90mA and 6mAh during 5 minutes. One big spike up to about 360mA at the beginning. This would mean about 72mA per hour or about 21 hours for a 1500mA battery. This is close to my experience of going from 100% to 80% when I wake up in the morning (5 hours of sleep). Terrible. I might just have a bad battery....
EneryROM 11/8 23504. 4.47 Radio.
If anyone else has some suggestions on how we can compare battery consumption, do share, as I think this would be useful information to have.

On WVGA tweak there is an option to auto disconnect GPRS every certain time, enable and reset.
Or install this app (attached)

after trying about 12roms i am back to the htc official 6.5rom
it has good stability nd battery life!!
but still i like the leo or manila 2.5 very much!!!
hope it supports landscape soon!!!!!!!!
This seems strange.Yesterday after upgrading to gingerbread ( with the RUU because the OTA didn't work for me) I got a huge battery drain.Over the night I got a loose of 40% and now only 3 hours after unplugged and lost 20%.
I only took a few pictures and a phone call.
Only few apps installed since i got this rom since only yesterday.
Anybody experienced this and is there a fix?
Hello,
I can confirm this.
I have also a high battery drain with ALL Android 2.3.* ROMs.
I use the recommend Radio for each ROM and I've checked the RIL to be sure the Radio is correct. But doesn't matter, current in StandBy is between 30 and 50mA.
Only if I turn off WLAN and Mobile Intenet, then I have normal values between 3 and 5mA.
With FroYo I can leave WLAN and Mobile Internet enabled and I had 3-5mA in StandBy
It could not be an application, because I've tried this with a fresh install without Google account to avoid the installation of external apps.

you'd have to edit the build.prop and change the rescan time from 15 seconds to 30, 60, 90 or 120 (or whatever you perfer the rescan intercal to be at)

Try resetting the battery stats by doing the whole charge, lead out, charge, turn off, charge etc. thing.
Also, whilst not a stock RUU I did find it took a few days for the battery drain to calm down a bit. First instal lowest was around 50mA but adfter a fe days it went down to 4-5mA.

Thank you for your help
What does that value do?
Is that the rescan value of WLAN?
The current stays high even if WLAN is off and mobile internet is on.
Only if both are disabled I get a low StandBy current.

Yes I know this, and I've tried this every time I was flashing a ROM (I mean reset the battery stats)
After a few days? How many days do you mean? 2, 3, 4, 5 days?
@both
But why this problem does not exist on froyo?

Varies but on average I find it takes about 3 days to settle to a point where I see a consistent drain.

Unknown. It's not 100% due to GingerBread as I've only seen a handful of people complain of this issue (relatively speaking). I see more people saying how much better their battery life is after the update than saying it's poorer.
Doesn't help I know but makes me believe that this is maybe a Network / Radio issue in that the new Radio with GB does not play well with the Network. We had this a few times on the HTC Hero.
Ok...i have airplane mode on for about 2 days.in those 2 days i almost didn't use the phone and got only a 7% lose.As soon as i used the camera(recorded around 15 min) it got down to 50% .
I will test it tonight widought airplane mode on and see the resoults. Also wifi seems to a lot of battery in comparance to froyo.

I haven't noticed these problems with CM7. I got 2.5-3 hours per 1% of drain in standby using juice defender.
If you are finding that turning off data etc is fixing the problem use juice defender. Even the free version will help a lot as it will stop your phone using data willynilly and instead turn it to a periodic sync. With the paid version you can have it stop all together during certain periods or increase doing certain periods. Aka stoping at night and extra during busy hours at work.
Should be a good fix, though it is only covering up the underlying problem still.
Can't really recommend the app enough. With it my phone only uses data when I tell it to (like opening facebook app) or periodicaly to sync and check emails etc. I do use the paid version though for the extra features.
totally agree. i have been using juice defender for about a week. its been a big help. just bought the ultimate a few min ago. going to start customizing.
sorry that i dont have any data yet to back up my statement. maybe in a future post.

im using Leedroid 3.0.3 and i dont get any such battery drain..
tbh im getting a better battery life from GB than from froyo..
on standby currentwidget shows me between 4-7ma with wifi on... with a peak once in a while..and i lose abt 1 to 1.5% per hour
with wifi off i get about 3-5ma..
i dont use mobile data much so cant really comment on that..
try calibrating your battery and try changing the scan interval in the build.prop... i normally keep it at 90...
i never used any battery saving apps, so cant comment on their performance either...
go to wifi advanced settings and untick Best Wifi Performance... that also helps a lot!
hope you get your problem sorted
Thank you all for the help
The issue was not with gingerbread...I just left my phone one night with wifi turned on and lost 40%.But still when I was on Froyo wifi wouldn't loose so much battery. Now I loose almost 2-3% every 15 min if surfing the web with wifi.
And about changing the scan interval in the build.prop...How can I do that?Do I need root?
I'm also having battery problems, but mine are a little bit different, if I'm on wifi it uses between 3 to 5% with a peak now and then. if wifi is off and I'm on 3g, it's between 5 and 500 ma and you see only peaks if you check currentwidget. anyone a clue? working on ARHD 5.1.6 now, but problem was there since version 3
I have battery problems also, my battery dries after 1 day of use. For example this morning, I unplugged my phone full from the charger at 10 am. I went into town, listened to about 20 minutes of FM radio. When i stopped the radio, I still had 98% left of the battery. OK so far. After, I talked for about 5 minutes, sent 4 messages and played for about 15 minutes. I arrived home at 2 pm with 75% of battery left. That is 25% in 4 hours.
I was on 3G, but with Mobile network off. BT, WIFI, GPS off. A few days ago, I tried running the Battery Calibration app, but seen no improvements so far. My phone is routed, 2.3.3 and has Android Revolution HD 5.0 RC1 ROM .
I expected the battery not to last for long, but this is ridiculous.
Help me, please!
I don't know if that will help, but I sometimes switch to 2G networks as HSDPA is using quite a lot the battery.
I have a DHD running 2.3.3, and it's definitely the mobile standby bit which is first in the battery use screen (33%). It was true before 2.3xx but now it's a bit more - annoying in other words.
I have to admit, having to switch to 2G networks is a bit of a pain in the *ss, so I'll check if juice defender give me some good results tomorrow and will post a feedback there.
Maybe try AR 5.1.6. + he recommended radio. It works wonders. the battery life is improved a lot...
malik
Juice Defender works very well - with basic settings I still have 35-40% of battery by 7pm.
furstrated with the battery life...
hey guys,
so this is my first post and all i've done up until now was to read... i'm afraid not real solution has come up.
i have:
Leedroid 3.1.2 with the recommended radio and i ran the script for Full Wipe 1.5 and cleared the battery stats, i did a fresh install and then didnt restore from backup - just installed everything from scratch. i hoped it would be ok, but when i woke up to check the current widget log, i saw that in the middle of the night he climbed to 150mA and stayed there draining about a 1% of battery in 3-4 minutes (!!!)
what can i do? 'where is my droid power' shows only HTC Sense at about 3.8%
please please help... thanks!

In standby overnight, maybe 3-5% battery drain. A lot of things come in play though such as what apps you have installed, if your on LTE, or 3g, or wifi, or even go into airplane mode at night, etc.

and it gives false percent as it increases after restarting the phone ..
I've tried to calibrate the battery by letting in turn off by itself then recharging it to 100% but then I realized It's still giving me false number
I don't know what to do ... It would be great if you can help

Have you tried a battery calibration app such as the one by NeMa in the PlayStore? It requires root but it basically asks you to charge your device to 100% which is done from empty to max in about 3 hours. At this point you go in the app while its still plugged in and "clear" the batterystats. This is the file that tells the device how much charge it can hold and on some devices this file gets buggy/glitched. It will wipe this file away and generate a new one based on the charge the battery holds at max. It then asks you to use the device as normal until it dies and recharge to full afterwards. This has worked for many and I hope it will work for you as well.
If you have excessive battery drain look at the Power settings and review the usage. If it shows a green line on awake and it doesn't show the same matching the screen on time then you have a background app sucking battery from the device. Facebook and its Messenger are known to be the culprits but if you download Greenify from the PlayStore. It will allow you to hibernate practically every app so there is no battery drain when your device screen is off. In combination with this app I am able to get an average day and a half of use with no charge and normal use with Videos, Music, Facebook, Messenger; etc. I average I use about 6-10 hours on this device with pure stock w/ root & Greenify with battery calibration via app done.

I fixed my battery issue. the exposed software killed mine relating to the same issue i believe you had or have. reporting wrong percentage. once had 50 percent, took it back out of my pocket and within 5 mons i had 4%. wouldnt charge.
Power it off... hold all 3 buttons (power+volume up+volumedown) after 15 seconds it will boot back up. this calibrated my battery. hope this works for you.
Wrong battery percentage report is fixed by HTC on 1.58 rom update. it works fine on 1.58 Rom
My battery on my htc is draining fast I think it went from 100% to 83% percent in like 20 minutes is this normal? I have disabled everything that I'm able to disable on this phone but once it gets to 70% the drainage kinda slows down
hi. im a brand new rooter. i got a preowned s4 mini last week and decided to root it using a guide here(im very new to all of this) i deleted bloatware and use apps like greenify, setcpu, wakelock detector all to my knowledge have been done right and im still having crap battery times. worse than my 5 year old iphone 4s!
i can post any screenshot of stats upon request but from my new knowledge of all of these apps and rooting, i see nothing out of the ordinary. if im being honest, "battery doctor" seems to be a nusiance to my battery. but it often gives me reminders that my phone is draining quickly with 29 apps open that i cant delete with app master or even see on greenify. some of them are..favourite contacts, active apps manager, s planner widget, csc, remote controls, factory mode, alarm and video player. the rest are the ones above like setcpu, greenify etc.
so im asking..what now? ive seen mentioned that getting rid of touchwiz and installing a new ROM like cyanogenmodgod. but what then?
ive no idea how to understand some of this but im fine with following instructions with technical stuff i.e rooting my phone in the first place.
i really hope i can be helped as im really liking my first android experience bar battery life

ill do that later when ive spare time. ill write a little update for now..
tried CM11, simply did not like the UI, i much prefare the stock s4 mini UI (touchwiz?) so ive reverted back. ill be sure to post screenshots of wakelock, battery screen etc.
my signal is rarely above 2 bars if 2 at all..ive changed the settings from LTE to the one that means 3g...hopefully the more stable 2..sometimes full bars saves battery!
heres screenshots of various things.
notice how battery doctor has many aps as being in the backround even though i greenified them AND turned permissions like "always on" to OFF so there isnt a reason why they should be on.
ok..i cant post links until i reach 10 posts so ill add in a space in the link..

If you go to settings > Battery > Battery graph , does it show the phone actually sleeps? (the "awake" bar)
I attached a screenshot , if the bar is compleatly highlighted , this means the phone does not go in sleep.
If this is not the case , i suspect something is wrong with you battery.

nope..the awake bar does have bits missing (being asleep, right?) i seem to be getting acceptable charge times as of late..some games make the phone very warm and do destroy battery % but so did them games on my iphone 4s. this phone isnt brand new..it is almost new..im "happy" with the battery times now but not so much as i expected better times than my 4s but its about the same at best. i may try an OEM battery someday and see if that gives me even a 10% increase.
any advice on charging? took me about 2.5 hours to fully charge..about 1.5 of them hours, i had the phone turned off..the rest was on airplane mode

That indeed means the phone is sleeping.
What kind of Screen on time are you getting ? do you leave bluetooth / 3G / Wifi on all the time ?
3G and especially 4G is a huge battery killer.
EDIT
About the charging , i generally just charge my phone at night functioning as a clock since the battery lasts me a full day.

i have wifi only on. its on most of the day, i turn it off while i sleep or if im out and about with no hotspots about.
i seen on youtube something about a faster touchwiz thats available here..it apparently helps battery life?
also nova launcher may help with battery life too?

Other launchers probably won't help with battery life.
I'd suggest turning off any radio's you don't use and (off course) keep the brightness low. What kind of screen on time are you getting ? (Settings > battery > screen )

Hello!
I purchase my LG G4 4 months ago, until last month everything was perfect - great battery life, maximum performance and my country language available.
I cant tell for sure, but either just before the update to 6.0 or a week before the phone started to slow down.
My current problems after updating to 6.0 are:
-My Hebrew language is no longer available, i needed to download the app "MoreLocal2" and flash it somehow and even so i need to choose throw the app my language(HEB) after every restart.
Before the update I used Smart Cleaning and in rarely use app the app "Change Language" was there, it was the option the company who sell the phone put inside the phone to make Heb language to work, and Smart Cleaning delete it.
-Battery (!) one of the serious problems, the battery just drain like crazy, Chrome take 1-3% every few minutes, i cant use the phone more then 3-4 hours in average. even less, use.
In addition to this, i charge the phone with the original charger and the percents keep going down, i cant use the phone and charge it in the same time, the battery just drain out, if i keep the phone plugged throw the night with Data off and all apps close its will charge about 30-50% in 6 hours. ??
-The performance are getting low, maybe its because the other problems or maybe its actually does i cant tell for sure.
-I want to delete some apps that comes with the phone(Docs and etc) what the best way to do it?
I thought to change Rom, adding root with Greenify and custom Kernel and hope its will solve most of the problems, but i have a warranty(I am solider in the army and if i send the phone to them i could pick it up after a few weeks) so i prefer to try other options before, BUT most likely change room will cut off the warranty and leave me to solve it alone.
TY a lot! I hope my English is good enough to understand most of it.
