Battery Life

What's the battery life like on this? I want one.

It's not bad. You'll get a day of use out of it.

I use TEAM rom flashed from darkforest 3 along with juice defender and my set cpu minimum is the lowest possible and I get amazing battery life with heavy usage. 25% is lost when I'm home from school. I charge once every two days with these settings.

About 3 days with medium usage, i'm also using juicedefender.

Are you rooted? and what are your settings with juice defender ?

Battery life is good to me, for the power of the device.

Battery life expectations?

I just got my s3 a couple days ago and am just wondering what I should expect for battery life from a stock, unrooted phone? I keep auto bright on, keep wifi on, and only have google mail auto syncing. In 2.5 hours it is at 92% with 15 mins of screen on time. I've never had a Samsung before, my last phone was a sensation so I can't really compare the two. Is this pretty standard and would rooting and a custom rom make much difference?

I used to get 10 hours with very heavy usage I'm on frosty jb v3 now I get up to 14-17 hours moderate use. Not sure for everyone else but my battery life has been amazing with this phone.

Thanks, I noticed the power saver setting but haven't tried it yet. It doesn't slow the phone down too much?

With heavy use I usually get around 12 hours with over 3 hours of screen time. I'm running freegs3 with the newest Trinity kernel and no powersaving options on

It depends on what your usage is, if you game alot and stream alot I have seen some people get between 8-12 and with moderate usage I have seen between 12-15 hours and with minimal usage I have seen some go over 24 hours.

What should I expect for battery life?

I feel like my battery life is just bad. About 12 hours of use I will get tops 2 hours of screen time, with no gaming. I think it may be that my battery is just defective. My friend's S3 on Verizon gets about 10 hours of use with about 2.5 hours of screen time and is only at around 65 percent and that's with LTE enabled, which should drain the battery more than HSPA+. Mostly I think it's standby that drains my battery. I have looked for rogue apps found nothing. the phone does go into deep sleep, I would say I lose about 2-3 percent per hour, which shouldn't be normal.

Greatly depends..
If you're on Stock, you're draining will be completely different than on a ROM and it really depends on what you use it for. I am on PA and get about 24 hours with 2 hours of screen time, but some people on the same mod get 34 hours easy but they use it for different stuff.

[Q] Heavy battery drain on jellybro 4.2!!!?

Hey guys im new in this forum so hello to you all
I recognized a heavy battery drain the last days since i updated to jellybro 4.2
To be more precisely : i used my phone 2 hours display on simple surfing and lost 40 percent at 75% display power
Then i switched to cyanogen mod 10.1 and it was nearly the same switched to leankernel ...nothing
I also did a complet format of my storage and flashed the stock by the toolkit and still theres the same problem it s better now but nethertheless bad enough
So what do you think?? I dont know what to do ...

So you're claiming that on 4.1 you have 13-20 hours of screen on time at 75% brightness? Yeah, not buying that at all. Losing 40% for 2 hours of screen on time is pretty good, even for the 2000/2100 mAh battery.

Totally normal drain. I'm calling bs on the 10-15% in 2 hours with screen on.

Hmm yeah of course there were Not so impressive Times but IT feels To me like too much naah i will watch it a Bit a big thanks to all of you guys i liked to hear other opinions on that

I am having constantly 1.4% per hour drain in flight mode with any kernel. Even on lean kernel that many claim 3 % overnight. Stock takju. Thanks

My average is 8hrs on battery and 2-3hrs screen on time with stock battery so I think yours is fine.

Finally i dropped to 0.2-3% per hour in flight mode using 007 kernel.
With almost all others were at 1.4% with same config.

How long on average does a note 2 battery last?

Im getting lousier battery life these days. Used to be 10 percent for every half hour of screen time, now i do not get that. Is it time for a battery swap? Bought it since May, so its about half a year on now.

First try to stick to the charging cycle (which means, dont charge your phone untill it gets 20% or less, and dont take it off the charger untill it becomes 100% + try not using it while charging)
Second, my gn2 on the original battery, lasts 2 days, if im using it for heavy gaming.
Lasts 5 days for whatsapp.
And lasts 10 days with only some touches and screen on with cellular.
Maximum for my gn2 is 13 days.

My Note 2 battery last about 4-5 hours on heavy usage. I have 3.5 hours on screen time, 3G and Wifi always on

2+ days with moderate usage.

My estimate is like 16 hours from 100 to 0% (since I never let it discharge completely).... very annoying, since I can't charge it once a day. Screen usage like 1-3 hours. No heavy gaming, just the usual stuff, mail, facebook, news, foursquare, book reader, calls, IM+ chat....

My note 2 can last for about 12h with normal usage. That`s with 3-4h screen on time, and everything turned on(GPS,sync,data,auto-brightness)..Only thing that I noticed that eats the battery is gaming..For example Riptide gp 2 can take 10% of battery in 15-20 minutes...And yeah (CM 10.2,neak kernel)..

about 8hrs heavy use for me

My note 2 lasts about 8 hours too. This is basically cause I use whatsapp continuously.

I bought last year November
Still with 7 hrs screen usage it lasts for a one day
I have unplugged the charger without 100% only 4 times for last 11 months
This is a beast If you know how to use it
