Hello
I don't know if i'm in the right section, but I've a problem
I have a Xperia Arc S with SE-Tweaked ROM (Gingerbread .62 Custom ROM) and the lockscreen is DISGUSTING (sorry)
So I want to come back to the original lockscreen of Gingerbead .62
I've saved every original system/app folder but I don't found lockscreen into it..
So can you provide me a Flashable CWM zip or guide me to found it in system/app
Thanks !
Please post in correct section next time...
Lockscreen can be changed back to stock by replacing framework-res.apk which can be found in /system/framework

I am quite sure lockscreen is not just framework-res but some more files (can't remember by heart).
Sorry I was confused for the section
Thank you guys but in SE-Tweaked, i love the UI , EXCEPT the lockscreen, so if I replace framework-res.apk, will it replace also all the UI (clock , battery, notification center etc..)
?

Battery is in SystemUI, I am not sure about clock, but some features are in framework-res, such as some icons, some general layout/colors, if I am not mistaken.

I dont think so
I have faced the issue.in gb, When i change system ui the battery icon is same. But when i change framework the battery icon changes. So maybe, in gingerbread the battery icon is in framework-res.apk

It is very easy on MUIU or CM7 ROM with theme manager, but on stock rom you must modify systemUI.apk for that.
You're wrong mate, battery icons are situated in framework-res.apk not in systemUI.apk
To modify the battery icons,
-Extract the framework-res.apk from your rom.
-Rename it to .zip
-copy the battery icons that you want and paste them to res/drawable hdpi or hdpi v4 depending of roms.
That's it.

Yes you're right. I made a mistake. The SystemUI.apk contains wifi, gps, GSM, 3g, 4g and quick panel icons not battery. Thanks for correction.

Bro, what program do I need to do what you mentioned above? And how to save back to the framework-res.apk? Any guide or reference? I love the bubble icon an I wish to cook mine. Thanks
Hi,
You need winrar or winzip to open the framework-res.zip (it's initially framework-res.apk that you need to rename as explained before)
both programs are downloadable for free...just ask Mr google and he'll provide you the links for download

Or you can customise a lot of this in a web interface: UOT kitchen
(google it)
Many of the bat-mods (+ other theme) have been available in UOT kitchen since long time ago.

Tnx man! Nice for theming. Do you have also other icons? Like signal, notifications,...

Hi,
The drawable hdpi is inside /res
when you rename framwork-res to .zip double click on it then you'll see folder named "res" double click on it and you'll find drawable hdpi file that contains the battery icons and other things.
The link is working correctly, I'll see later when I go home if I can upload elsewhere .

On my phone (Onecosmic's ICS Port RC1) the icons actually had to be put into SystemUI.apk.
I tried the trick with framework-res.apk but it didn't work. After I dropped the icons into the right folder in SystemUI.apk, the thing started working.
One peculiar thing though. My battery icon says 71%, but battery stats in Settings say 73%.

Strange..I haven't tried ICS yet but it's good to know that files have been relocated elsewhere.
All the Ics roms for SGS available until now are in beta stage and there are many things not working as it should be.
The battery icons are not the problem for you but it's maybe a bug with the rom itself.
Try to ask about it in the rom thread.

Hi guys this is my first post here in xda!
I'm here to ask a thing:
When i unboxed my XPERIA PLAY I and turned it on i looked to the black status bar on the phone framework and looked to the box framework that was more beauty and was blue with white icons.
Can someone tell me if its possible to get the original blue framework like the image i have posted above, thanks in advanced, and sorry my English :S.
The photo of the box us edited with the computer. The statusbar looks on every xperia play that is on stock "ugly".
You must be rooted and edit the systemui.apk to get this

Thanks.
Which theme did u use?? I think its a theme effect. Try changing it to blue.

It's not a theme effect, it's actually older amdtroid version. I remembered my friend's X10 android 2.1 stock has this battery style.

thank you for the reply, I have tried the android Simplistic control app and still the same when I try to change its still the same blue circle battery icon that came with the Omega rom, I did notice something strange, when it comes to a certain percentage it would show the custom icon I installed then disappear after that. Any idea what the problem is??

You could always edit the battery icons yourself. Just paste the wanted battery icons into SystemUI.apk where the battery icons are supposed to be and push it into /system/app with the correct permissions and voila you're done.
Doing this quite often when there are themes I want to apply but they don't come in CWM flashable zip for the rom I'm using

Its not only about installing the SF app, you'll have to flash its content as well that is when you make changes on the control app it will reflect.

Just copy the systemui API from your system/app folder to your sdcard and open it using 7zip or similar program on your PC. Locate the icon files within the app, most likely under res/drawable/hdpi or xhdpi and copy the icon you want straight into the apk and overwrite. No need to extract the apk. Note this only works when replacing images. If you want 1% battery, you'll have to edit some xmls as well (dunno which one though).
And just copy the apk back to where you found it and give it the correct permission (644) and reboot.

Hi guys, I'm looking for the status bar pattern in the SystemUI.apk or framework-res.apk in order to change it into a full transparent white through ZipThemer (and finally have a transparent status bar in 4.2.2 stock :victory
But there's so many png in those files that I don't know which one I should use
Can you guys help me ?
Many thanks !

With the new roms this is not an option as it is no longer a png file file a combo of color codes thoughout the systemui and framework res. It took me 3 months to find all the changes to redirect it to a png

What I mean depending on your rom is that you will have to adjust the color codes. Your issues is that the main place one of these changes needs to be made are in a place tat cant be adjusted with zip themer.

You would have to decompile the both Framework-res apk and the systemui.apk and make about 15 xml edits to redirect it to an image and then remove a few places. Then recompile the apks and then flash them. This would have to be done for each rom you flash.
What are you trying to do over all?

4.2.2 stock with some mods (beats louder, a custom battery in status bar, a new locking...)
I agree that I have no idea why CM doesn't add this in their most recent ROM's, making the statusbar transparent is such an improvement to the UI immediately
Today I will bring to you smaller on screen buttons to our Xperia S. As well as you know ,if you enable navigation bar by adding to build.prop the line "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" it will make you phone laggy. I modded some files and made the navigation bar much more smaller ,so it became more beautiful and the phone works very smooth ,without lags!
Note#1:
Tried only on 6.2.B.0.200 FW with niaboc79 "framework.jar" from his Honami's launcher port. So it's better to flash this port to get it work before using my mod. So that means that you must have a deodexed rom to apply my mod.
Note#2:
Before using this mod ,make a nandroid backup in CWM and also backup the files "SystemUI.apk" ,"framework-res.apk" & "framework.jar". I'm not responsible to any damage that will happen if you don't know how to use and install this mod.
Installation:
1. Download these 3 files:
framework-res.apk
framework.jar
SystemUI.apk
If you want transparent navigation bar & status bar download this zip
2. Copy them to your sdcard and with any file explorer move them manually to the folder "system".
3. Change the permissions to rw-r--r-- and move framework-res.apk + framework.jar to the folder system/framework. It will ask to overwrite these file ,click yes.
4. Change the permissions to rw-r--r-- and move SystemUI.apk to the folder system/app. It will ask to overwrite these file ,click yes.
5. Reboot you device into recovery and wipe cache partition + wipe dalvik cache.
6. If you want transparent UI ,move framework-res.apk + framework.jar to the folder system/framework ,reboot and flash the zip Transparent UI.
6. Done.
Known Bugs:
*Navigation bar overlap the camera buttons.
Status bar is transparent anywhere ,navigation bar only on home screen.
*Find and tell me

The problem I encountered is that when changing the resolution of the camera to a aspect ratio of 4:3 there is a big black portion on the screen
