The thing told me to do the following...
copy Settings.apk in system\app and framework-res.apk along with twframework-res.apk to System\Framework.
using Root Explorer

hey hey hey
whats the panic all about........
if you dare to customize your device you should be prepared for the consequences if it shows its darker side..
anyways .. now just cool down .. and just download any app that could take backup of ur contacts and apps.. and then just flash back your original rom.. and you should be good to go..

As said mate I cant open my phone.
I have no idea how to flash back the rom but im gonna go try and learn
I need firmware but the one ive found is password protected
frimware
take this one works like a charm
Doc Froyo XWJPA v7.5 / XXJPO v7.5 it sits in the andoid dev.
Robo
What exactly do I do with it?
Bit over my head.
Look. This is your SOLUTION:
Go to samfirmware.com and clik on the firmware section select android and choose galaxy s, then select a firmware of your choice which is ij your region and download. It will be password protected which can be either of these two:
samsung-firmware.com
samfirmware.com
Then download odin v1. 2 from the internet and extract the firmware pack with winrar or an archive program
Then select the pit, pda, modem and csc file.
Now on your phone, pull out battery, put back in and turn on your phone holding volume down, home and power button all at the same time for 3 seconds, it should now say download mode do not turn off phone. Connect your phone and press start in odin.
Once done you will be running stock version of the phone.

[Q] Damaged my Xperia Play ...Please help me out...!!

I had recently flashed my phone with a custom rom (I do that all the time, when a new rom comes up, for testing) But because battery drain issues with custom roms, i decided to go back to the stock firmware, so i flashed my rom with the ver 4.0.1.A.0.283_(1247-6212). When i connected my phone to my wifi network it showed, a new update that was available i.e 4.0.1.A.0.42 ver. so i downloaded it via wifi and when it started installing the update, my phone suddenly switched off. And nw it wont turn on...I tried flashing it again, the flashing process successfully completes but still the phone wont switch on. When i press the power button it just vibrates for short time and a green light (flashing light) flashes on and off. The fone wont enter into fastboot mode. when i plug it to the usb the green light glow even if i dont press the back button.... what do i do...
any help would be appreciated ...thank you in advance.
Did you unlock the bootloader? You cannot update OTA with it.
Sent from my R800x using XDA
yes the bootloader is unlocked..
i wonder if your phone can be resurrected by Alejandrissimo
That's what happens when you don't follow instructions.. There are many, many warnings all over these forums about OTA causing problems with an unlocked bootloader.

Did u try to fix the problem with Flashtool (flashing a stock rom on ur phone)
Yeah...I'ld be really carefull the next time....Can be repaired or i'll have to find a SE service center.. ??
Yeah ....flashing completes ... but it doesn't start, Does the same thing ....when i press the power button it just vibrates...
Try to flash a new kernel on it with a guided Tutoril...u will find one here or try to boot the RecoveryPLAY.img with fastboot too
I cant enter the fastboot mode....if i press the search button and plug the usb nothing happens for sometime and the fone enters the flash mode. so i guess that i'll have to recover the boot ...i guess its corrupted...
now i have the ultimate solution...relock the bootloader again, then flash a stock rom on it...it will work fine again!!

This is what i did for my device :::
because of over anxiety I killed my device.........
it was stuck at boot screen, not able to switch it off.... tried all possibilities...
option 1
I have to wait till the battery gets drained, i dint have the patience to do this... ( since battery is 100% full )
option 2
I carefully opened the back panel of my device ( only the portion from camera till the middle segment )
down the middle of the pannel is pasted tight to battery,
Saw the battery cable attached to the M.board, with a help of a needle, i removed the attachment and powered down the device...
once again with the help of needle reattached the cable and closed the back pannel safely.....
rebooted the device to cwm recovery.......
Installed the cwm image from this temporarily " http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2780507 "
this helped me to regain the device, and was able to use it good... it has all the apps in it.........
it is English..... ( but originally developed from open source chinese variant.... )
I am waiting for the Stock Rom release................ and after that I will reflash my device.........
step 2 ::::::
I found out a friend from this forum jithu, who has the same model, version and regional device and asked him to give device cwm or twarp backup.....
so i can clone my device from a same regional device backup.... after restore.... i will do a factory reset....
so my mobile will be all new.....................

Do a full factory reset in your custom recovery or in advanced wipe options wipe your system, data, dalvik and cache then rerun your stock nandroid backup and it should restore. When your coming from a custom rom back to a stock rom your want to have as much of your phone wiped and repartitioned as possible. Don't wipe your internal storage though unless you just want to.
Oops didn't catch the "accidentally" part but the advice stays the same. Are you trying to get back to stock or are you trying to get back to custom rom?

I had a similar problem, stuck in recovery boot loop, volume up + power wasn't working , had to pull battery, not sure why didn't work, has before. but my back comes off easily as it has been done before.

Xperia z1 compact bootloop.

Hi Guys.
I replaced a screen of a D5503. Knew the pattern to unlock the phone (friends) but messed up and thought it does not matter if it resets to factory settings after 7 attempts.. But Bootloop. Country choice appears shortly and screen goes to grey. Repair with companion gives no change. Sometimes it is possible to select country and go one screen further and then it goes grey again. Is this bootloop ?
searched web and forum for similar problems and decided finally it must be bootloop?
Of course i did not make a back up.. phone is coupled to google account of friend , so if I can get the screen to normalize and not disappear that would also be an option.
i downloaded Flashtool Emma. Most links are dead. For neccesary files, unlocking etc.
I have a sony unlock code.
(locked bootloader)
The firmware is (1279-1792) 14.6A.1.236-R2D
Can anybody direct me to the right link to follow ?
Or commands are not downloadable anymore, or I don't know what tft file to use etc.
Can anybody direct me in the right direction ? Please?
Help is appreciated. I flashed and rooted a Z1 mini once before. years back.
If you can flash stock firmware with sony compagnon with sucess 100%, it means that it's not a firmware problem.
Are you sure new screen is good? Did you replace touchscreen and LCD or only one of them?
did you test with old screen to check if system boot is ok?
I replaced both in one. Screen with digitizer asssembly. And initially the phone booted fine to lockscreen with pattern. So screen is working fine.
I messed up trying 7 times the pattern upon which the phone by itsself booted to factory settings. Since then the phone is stuck. I tried repair with companion but that made no difference.
But the adb commands to unlock bootloader don't seem to be downloadable anymore. Not even from the link provided from the sony site. from which I optained the unlock key.

Yes ; if I hold the volume button up when phone is powered off, and connect the usb to the phone the powerled goes blue and the pc gives a messaga that fastboot is on. Phonescreen stays black.

well, it should be volume up and power button. But that only gets me to fastboot. No lights blincking at the supposed ledlight at all.
So the screen freezes at language choice page. that only appears shortly. sometimes just long enough to make a choice and then the screen goes grey. The only option to communicate seems to be fastboot. Since the pc recognices the phone as being in fastboot.
So how to proceed ?

Tnx. back when this was still somewhat a current model I knew what version it contained and with patience I rooted and flashed a X1c. Got a Flashtool download now branded Emma. . Looks weird in my eyes. But the .net page gives a virus error in the torrentfiles still being used in those days. Hence my loss. ? Emma version did give detailed info about the phone and the firmware and that bootloader is locked. Then can get unlock key from sony site, but adb files I can't get. And when I finallly can get them I am asked for admistrator password,. My stupid attempt to make an offline non google account pc, the other way around.
