Just found out that the specs on gsm arena were wrong. It doesn't support 850 MHz 3G.
Lucky it's not my phone

Hi, according to what i've read the radio should be choosen to the country and the carrier you're working with, I live in colombia and my carrier is movistar, but im not getting 3g speeds, i just bought a t-mobile g2, i've seen that carriers in colombia are working on UMTS 850 and UMTS 1900, so can anyone help me on choosing the correct radio to my phone?
THANKS!!!!
The 3G bands on the G2 are 1700/2100 and 2100 MHz, so you are never going to get 3G speeds on it, if your network is using 850 and 1900 MHz. This is set in hardware, and can't be changed by flashing radios. So you are stuck on EDGE. You bought the wrong model of the Vision if you want 3G on your network. The only version with compatibility with 850 and 1900 MHz 3G bands is the Bell Canada version of the Desire Z.
Hi,
I have bought and just got delivered a brand new Lg Optimus pro from Korea. The problem is that it would not recognize the band frequency, either for 3G nor 4G. The version I have is f240s and the frequency for 3G is 900 and 2100 (both is used by my currently operator) and for 4G 850 (B5) and 1800 (B3). Now, GPRS/EDGE works and the frequency for 2G is GSM850, 900 1800 and 1900.
I live in Sweden and my operator (Tele2) uses same band for both 3G and 4G. My question is why it won't work. Firmware issues? I have used the commando for the LTE menu (5467#*240#) and when I am trying to change the band for LTE I get a message "getbal has no fram value".
I would really much appreciate any solution or step in the right direction! if anybody has more questions or would like further information don't hesitate to ask!
Thank you again.
It passed about 3 months since you posted. Have you solved the problem? I have an LG Vu 3 (also Korean) and it behaves exactly like yours.
Hi everyone;
First off, if this is in the wrong area, I'm sorry.
I've been looking to get my girlfriend a new phone for her birthday. She has an old Optimus 3D and the screen is cracked. I've been looking online to buy a Optimus G for her and came across a bunch online.
Most of which are listed as F180. I'm not sure what version this ends up being.
I'm hoping to get this phone for her and have it at least work on HSPA+ in Canada on the Rogers Network, but it would be great if it would work on LTE too.
I'm a little confused as to what frequencies Rogers LTE is on. I've read online that it's anything from 700, 850, 1900 , 1700, 2100 and 2600.
According to GSMArena the model frequencies are as follows:
2G Network
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - E975, E973, E971
3G Network
HSDPA 900 / 2100 - E975
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - E973, E971
4G Network
LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 - E975 (market dependent)
LTE 700 / 1700 - E973
LTE 700 / 2600 - E971

According to the Optimus G Wiki page Canada has the E971 and E973 models. If the International Version is E973, this should work on Rogers HPSA+ at least, and at least one frequency for LTE.
Is this correct?
Unfortunately I can't post any links right now because I haven't made enough posts, so I can't link to where I plan on buying the phone from.
Any help or suggestions would be great!

In my country LTE bands are 3 and 7...1800 and 2600...my LG G3 Asia based, works perfectly...
Hello, everyone.
So, I have a AT&T G3 with me and planning to go to South Korea and use Korea cellular carrier while I am staying there. With this, I have a question regarding whether my G3 will have LTE signal in South Korea
*(Information that I am going to write below is from both gsmarena and wikipedia)
For AT&T G3, its LTE band supports LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600
The cellular company that I am planing to use is SK telecom and they support LTE band 1, 3, 5 and frequency of 850, 1800, 2100
(I will attach the screenshots of those information with this post)
With this information, would I able to use full LTE with my G3 while I am in Korea?
Appreciate your comments.
Its kinda hard to say. I thought there using lte-a
But your maybe lucky and 4g or lower but i wouldnt count on it.
It all depends on the bands. It doesnt mean because you 2100mhz to, that they use the same band to.
Just go over there sell yours if it doesnt work and buy a local g3
