I bought my Diamond in HK-Asia where the 3G HSDPA is 2100Mhz. But I would like use it in Brazil where the 3G HSDPA is 850Mhz. Could I load any USA Radio (where 3G is 850Mhz) on my device to convert from 2100Mhz to 850Mhz HSDPA? Will it works?
As i think with the Radio roms as they are Quad band it should work, if its not an CDMA diam
Edit: Okay, sorry just speculation !
no you will not get 3g speed, only edge.
T-mobile touch pro2 has 3G in 2100 Mhz band. Does this mean that it will get 3G in europe, where networks support the 2100 umts?
i have read this phone has the AWS system (1700 + 2100 bands for ul/dl) but does it also have the "regular" 2100Mhz band for 3g in europe and asia?
In the specifications of the tmo tp2 it says it has that band so my guess is that it will work fine in Europe.
yes it worked for me i can confirm that
I have done some research and I cant find the right answer. I have an unbranded HTC TP2 my carrier is ROGERS Canada and I can't get HSDPA to work even when I live in Alberta one of rogers biggest HSDPA areas. for what I found over Howardforums, Rogers HSDPA is under 850Mhz band and the TP2 works under 900 and 2100 mhz band here is my question:
iF I flash a different radio could that do the trick to get HSDPA? my guess is not but just want to be sure. I will have to live with edge
Thanks
So the users that are going to use this device in the USA on AT&T or T-Mobile, where are you purchasing your device from in the states?
Also does anyone know if I were to use it on AT&T will I have to change the cellular settings or will the device pick up default settings on first boot. I remember there were different APN settings for AT&T and an unlocked device to give it access to faster DL speeds. Does anyone know?
Thanks in advance.
I also would like to know if the international version of One X is HSPA+ 42 mbps capable with T-mobile US?
Sent from my Sensation 4G using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5
No, it's not compatible with T-Mobile US 4G unless you're lucky enough to live in one of the few places where they're using 1900MHz. It'll work with AT&T data roaming at 4G, and it'll work as 2G on T-Mob's own network.
HTC ONE X specs from phone arena:
GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
UMTS 850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz
Data HSDPA+ (4G) 21.1 Mbit/s, HSUPA 5.76 Mbit/s, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS
UMTS on AT&T works at 850 and 1900 MHz so should be fine, I am not sure about t-mobile. it might work at 1700-2100 so could be kind of a problem...
regarding my personal experience, I have a european desire hd (on at&t), and in the bay area (SF) it gets no more than EDGE connection (I saw 3G icon couple of times ). However Desire HD doesn't work at 850 and 1900 MHz, whereas One X does so... should be fine on at&t.

Yep, as I said, there is no 4G on T-Mobile unless you roam to AT&T, or you're in one of a very small number of places in California where they've started using 1900MHz for T-Mob.
I have a bell GS3 that is unlocked can I use a t mobile sim card in it and get the 3g data or is AT& T the only one that works?
The Bell site says the GS3 supports the following:
HSPA/UMTS compatibility
UMTS 850/1900/2100 MHz
GPRS/EDGE compatibility
850/900/1800/1900MHz
and according to wikipedia T mobile USA has these:
850 MHz/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA
1900 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE 2G .
1700 MHz UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+ 3G/4G
1900 MHz UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+ 3G/4G
1700 MHz LTE
So I am fairly certain that as long as the area I am in is serviced by that 1900 MHz UMTS/HSPA I should be fine right? Obviously no LTE speeds buts thats ok I dont even use it as home since it is such a battery pig.
anyone have some input it would be greatly appreciated?
I have a att gs3 which I unlocked and now using on T-Mobile, it works good but a lot of times it switches to edge when there is 4g available. I believe there is a way to fix it by flashing t mobile radio but I dont want to brick my phone so I havent tried.
