[Q] T-Mobile Radio/Modem - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Evening; I have a S4 Mini GT-I9192 (International, DUOS Version). The device is for U.S. use and picks up AT&T and T-Mobile antennas. My guess is that is a general radio since the baseband information readsI9192UBUBMK4. This is the closest thread so I'm wondering if someone has a S4 radio backup or know of anything that I could do. I'm trying to get better signal as you can imagine by now.

Stop.
Do not do what you are trying to do for several reasons.
First, you NEVER EVER EVER want to flash a radio/modem made for a different version of a phone. ONLY the ones made specificly for your device.
Second, you don't have an S4. You have an S4 Mini, which is a completely different device with different hardware. If you flash a radio from the S4 you WILL kill your phone.

Radio/Modem
Thanks for your reply, my next question would be could I use the radio from an AT&T S4 mini, even thou one is single sim and the other is dual.

Probably not. Radios are generally not interchangable between carriers.

Because I'm looking to buy an S3 and the only ones that are selling used around here are i747. I want to use it with Wind Mobile which uses the T999 because they use AWS frequencies.
I747 baseband doesn't support AWS.
If you're planning on using Wind, stick with T999/T999V

As I already stated, the i747 is the only phone that people are selling. Also, the i747 has the hardware to work for Wind Mobile technically because it uses AWS for LTE in my region. It may very well be possible to install the T999 baseband/modem to an i747 to use AWS for 3G voice communication. I've ready about it working for the S2 between the LTE and T989 versions.

I read your post. I know what you stated. I was simply reiterating what you've obviously read on a hundred other threads: they have different baseband and modems, some have different portions disabled per each carrier model. What you've also discovered is that everyone asks this question but there is no confirmed response because no one has actually tried it. Either be a pioneer and give it a shot, just keep wondering or buy a T999. Lots have been asking your same question since the phone released last June but not a single hero

It may have worked with the SII and some other models; maybe it will also work on the i747 in the future. But for the moment, work is still in progress. A complete modem switch that sticks after reboot does not work as of now for the i747.

I did not do this intentionally. But, it looks like i installed SlimBean ROM into my T999 and it went on to become a i747. The otherwise should also be possible . Please check that out.
Hello,
Has a T999 modem been successfully flashed to a i747m yet? I'm looking to switch to Wind Mobile but dont want to have to buy a different phone just for that.

Signal Issues N7105 & N7105T

Hey guys.
I have had some issues with my note 2.
I had an open Samsung model GTN7105T and I swapped it with the N7105 as it's the "international" version as I thought I may have dramas rooting and installing custom roms etc.
Now, it could just be me or I didn't notice properly when I had the the T variant but it seems I'm getting less signal with the non T variant. Could this even be possible? I'm under the impression no, as it's basically the same handset in every way.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks in advance.

as far as I can tell from looking around, it has different radio configuration tailored for Australian telecommunications networks, this would account for the worse signal.
I have samsung galaxy note 2 LTE n7105T ,on 4.1.2 I have no use of LTE as it is not in our country . A update 4.3 came of model n7105, can i install rom of n7105 in n7105t ?
PLZ HELP ASAP

T-Mobile LTE on an international S4 I9505

Hello
Is it possible to flash T-Mobile M919 radio on an international galaxy S4 I9505 to get T-Mobile LTE ?
Did anybody do that successfully ?
Thanks
I haven't heard of anyone attempting that so I will definitely say no to that and I wouldn't recommend trying it

No, it's not just the radio, the hardware supports different bands; it won't work.
You will only get edge.

What I understand is : I9505 and M919 have the exact same hardware, the difference is in the radio file which makes the 2 devices have different LTE band. I believe the only difference is the radio programming which makes the difference but wanted to see if anybody manged to do it actually.
Many AT&T Galaxy s2 users flash T-Mobile radio and get T-Mobile AWS bands on their devices.

I'm telling you because I had the i9505, I only got Edge. You will get 4G (NOT LTE) in SOME areas where the network has been reframed.
I see. Thanks exel
Too bad I was thinking to buy it but if it's not gonna work with T-Mobile LTE that's a deal breaker although my city is 99% refarmed, but LTE is something else !
Didn't you try flashing a T-Mobile radio (or any mod) to make it happen ?

Did you have the guts to try this in the end? I am thinking about flashing the M919 modem on my I9505 to see if I can get T-Mobile LTE in New York City.
I'm in the very same situation, and the thing is i've been hearing conflicting stories and accounts of people saying that it doesn't work, to others saying that they managed to get the 4g /lte working somehow, either through aws band ,or other software tweaks... I just want a concrete answer as to whether or not it's possible and if so how to do eet ? otherwise i just have an expensive smartphone that only gets 3mbps dwn, and 1mbps up at best on t mobiles h+

My understanding is that the new Sprint phones operate on GSM and CDMA. There's more to it than just that though. Each company operates on different frequencies and sprints new phones operate in 3 different bands so you'd probably lose out on coverage even if you could connect to some of the bands.

Flash AT&T firmware on International Unlocked Galaxy S9

Hi,
Im a first time android user and recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S9 (International Version - SM G9600 - DUOS - Snapdragon). I need wifi calling very badly on At&T as my work and home both have bad reception so my purchase has handicapped me from making calls. I see a lot of forums talking about flashing At&T firmware on G960U VERSION. But i havent seen a single one talking about flashing it on g9600. Is it possible? I compared the specs and every hardware looks same except dual sim option. Will I brick my phone if i attempt it? Please suggest im in need to help from the pro community.
Regards.
