Looks fun! I'll be flashing this today! :cyclops::cyclops:
Is the KT747 kernel compatible with this ROM?
Nice work. Will give it a try when i get a chance.
I have to say that this is my first time tasting kit Kat and it is nothing short of amazing. Although I initially booted and tested out dalvik runtime and found it to be slightly laggy, I turned to ART and found it to be 1000x better. The apps loaded noticeably faster (really fast) and lag is nonexistent.
The only problems I have are: battery charges really slow? Maybe I should give it a few more days...
Also, I noticed that some apps could not be installed in ART, only dalvik (isilo and pdanet+).
Is it because the apps are incompatible with the runtime? (these two apps are pretty old and haven't been updated in a long time)
Overall, I give this ROM a 9.5/10. The graphical glitches are random, but I am positive they will disappear as more updates roll out. I used to love the awesome software features for TW, but with the crazy performance that comes with this ROM, I have chosen to stick with Gummy!
Keep up the hard work devs!!! :thumbup:

I see that the option to change battery light is removed. I noticed when I plugged the charger and a yellowish green light appeared. Then I went to change it under display but didn't see the option that's usually below the notification light. I thought it would be under another option but couldn't find it.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Is it OK to just flash this ROM like any other. I went from stock to 4.1.2 TW ROMs, and then I recently went to aosp 4.1.2 toasted marshmallow. Would I be OK to flash this ROM from what I have now?

Anyone getting partial wakelocks? How should I fix it? (See pics)

Is it me or tethering is hit or miss? Maybe bad download. I'll re-download because this Kitty is scary fast!
My new DD in the 4.4 category. Vanir will always be my 4.3. Great job Gummy Devs!!

From 4.1.2 to this? Yes, as long as you wipe, BACKUP all your files on the sdcard (phone memory) to the a micro sdcard (external memory) and do a full wipe. Takes out the cobwebs.
Read read read. I'm not responsible if your files or videos or pics gets wiped because you chose the wrong superwipe.zip. It has choices. Choose wisely.

This has been addressed in other threads. Please, read.
Besides, i don't think you flashed correctly or even flashed at all. You wouldn't be on your phone posting this if you've wiped. In bold and italicised, is the "incorrect" file name. I know. I flashed the actual file.
Just stating the "obvious"

That's entirely how the Dev compiled this in his git. From the looks of it, this is based off AOSP with CM flavors to it. I'm no expert of what he cherry picked.

Not seeing these particular wakelocks on mine. Let me cycle thru one day and i'll post my BBS tomorrow, i'm still "torturing" my phone, see how the battery is stacking on this monster ROM. So far.... *Winning!*
A little more help please.
1)What do you mean "in bold and italicized is the correct file name"?
2)By wiping "system", are you talking about wiping internal storage?
3)And on the first page of this thread is a link that says "ROM", which when pushed brings you to another thread. From there are a list of carrier Roms. I chose the tmobile one which brought me to a list of downloads. I chose the latest one. Was I not pushing the right links?

Sorry no cherry picks. Just the official nightly builds. But if your looking for a certain feature post it here and I can check with the team.
And sdcard works on esfile explorer.

Frequently Asked Questions (READ THIS BEFORE ASKING A QUESTION!!!)
Q: Can I upgrade or do I have to wipe on a new release?
A: You can try to upgrade, BUT:
BE SURE TO FORMAT SYSTEM!!!
BE SURE TO FORMAT CACHE PARTITION!!!
BE SURE TO FLASH OFFICIAL PA GAPPS, IMMEDIATELY AFTER FLASHING THE ROM (NO REBOOT IN BETWEEN ON AN UPGRADE)
IF YOU HAVE ISSUES, DO A FULL WIPE!
Q: I don't have a gallery showing in my app drawer. Where is it?
A: Flash official PA Gapps and they will install the Google gallery.
Q: I don't see "Slide to Google Now". Where is it?
A: Make sure you haven't changed launchers from the default, long press your home screen, choose settings and turn on Google Now.
Q: Why is this draining my battery so fast?
A: It is probably the Google keyboard that is killing your battery. Install a different keyboard and disable it by going into Settings-->Apps-->All, selecting Google Keyboard and touch disable.
Q: Why won't my phone sleep?
A: Users have reported that the stock browser may keep the phone from sleeping. I use Google Chrome and don't have any sleep problems. Install and new browser and disable the stock one on Settings-->Apps.
Q: How do I enable widgets on my lockscreen?
A: Settings-->Security-->Enable Widgets
Q: Why isn't "Say: Ok Google" enabled?
A: Long press your home screen, choose settings, voice and make sure that your language is set to "Default - English (US)
Q: Won't formatting my /system partition erase all of my data and game saves?
A: NO! That information is stored on your /data partition and will stay in tact unless you wipe it.
Already?? Mine!

Just as these good folks said, it should work fine for i747. I use your roms all of the time. Just don't flash any T-mobile radios or bootloaders and vice-versa.
and for the i747m? XD

That's correct. It's definitely not a daily driver, yet. Just something to play with. I need to get the Alsa sound profile right but I'm done for tonight.
Two compulsory steps for flasing this ROM:
1. Update the updater-script and remove all reference of d2tmo
2. Use CWM instead of TWRP otherwise the flash with fail
Damn,... would of loved to try this out,... but I'm just not willing to give up phone calls/sound and twrp for it... I really like twrp haha oh well there will be newer versions coming! :good:
That still big things what you doing @jermaine151 thanks for this and keep up the good work good luck

* Theme Manager
* Hardware Key Mod
* Lock Screen Mod
* Many Wallpapers
* Performance Control
* Application Permission Controls
* Carrier Label Options

I'll give it a whirl. Are you an official maintainer or is this an unofficial port?
Seems pretty basic, with a few twists added as per OP.
FYI the default governor is Performance, so you might wanna change that unless you want to run your battery down on full throttle.
Seems like a pretty nice ROM, but it's not for me. I am going back to Vanir but thanks for sharing.
I'm the official maintainer.

Looks great thanks for sharing. I'll try this out tonight!
No EXT SD CARD
I flashed the rom and like everything I see so far except I cannot access my SD Card. I see the internal card - not the external one.
Something I can do? (I know this was fixed in CM wonder why I am having issues?)
I did a clean flash - maybe I missed something else?
EDIT - I flashed the custom AOSP Kernel that Temesak Created and that fixed my problem - I am now able to see the External SD Card. Not sure if there is a better solution for the missing SD Card - suggestions are appreciated. Maybe it's just me having the issue?

Too me ever cm asop ioap etc is a best ROM in its own way it the one or two bad eggs that bash and feel making people look stupid is what bring down the ROM if everyone would help and respect everyone all we would have is number ones across the board! Lot more respectful user in asop then tw! With that been said much alohas papi and team for your work!

I will look into this. I will be updating the kernel either today or tomorrow. I believe cm just added in EX FAT into their kernel so I can use their commit.

One more thing - when I tried to use Titanium - root check failed - all rooted aps did the same thing.
I had to install SuperSU (flash) to get root working again

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why isn't there XXXXXXX feature.
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But CM and all the others have..
A: ROM developers, including CM, build something they want to use. The ROM dev that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't (or don't want), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Octo-Kat

A Note about the Team OctOs GApps
We in Team OctOs believe in choices. We believe in leaving the fundamental decisions about your phone to you.
In that spirit, Team OctOs gives you options for your GApps experiences. While any ODEX'ed GApps package should work, we offer you the choice of using some of the same GApps packages that we use ourselves, and leave the choice up to you.
You can find our Team OctOs GApps packages here, and break down into the following types:
GPe - Google Experience
Regular GPe GApps
Dalvik-Enhanced GPe GApps
AOSP
AOSP GApps
Dalvik-Enhanced AOSP GApps
The Dalvik-Enhanced packages are NOT ART compatible. If you plan to run ART, don't use those.
We will only update the thread with Stable Releases, whenever possible. This means that the thread may be behind non-milestone releases. If you have an issue with compulsive flashing, or feel the need to live 'life on the edge of brick', we invite you to follow us on Facebook and/or Twitter. Any dailies that can be released, we will release there. Please note, we pull these releases after a day or two, so if the latest link posted there is empty, simply wait until the next one.
