coincidentally, what's your "shipdate"? mine has dropped back to the 8th of July for some reason (not an issue) but they're not, yet marked as instock with TI? Hopefully not last minute build issues..

Anmyone have their hands on this yet? I am more than intrigued and was in the market for a new watch anyway

According to their facebook page they won't be shipping until August now.

That is really too bad...was hoping to start playing....they are still showing the 8th ship date...ah well

My order status doesn't even show a ship date and I never got a confirmation email. It just perpetually says "processing". Was hoping to start playing soon too. They put a couple of dev docs up on the metawatch.org development page, so you can start reading.

They've had 2 delays. The latest was announced just a couple of days ago; the analog isn't shipping until late September now. The digital one may ship sooner, but last I heard it was "end of August". You can find them on Facebook and Twitter, occasionally you'll see an update.

thanks for the info- I'm following their twitter now. I would have thought they would put this info up on the TI store page where I bought it lol.
bummed about the delay but hopefully it will be worth the wait. if I really get 4-7 days uptime with the watch I will be pretty happy.

No it doesn't, u need to download the metawatch software. Look in the metawatch twitter account.

Yes i got a email with tracking the day i got it. I ordered on 6/28 fyi.

French carrier Orange already has Mango phones to sell

It seems that a lot of carriers are ready to deploy Mango. French carrier Orange is one of them. Recently, a french owner of a LG Optimus 7 named Lionel used the warranty of his phone to get it replaced with a new one. I can't say how amazed he was when he noticed that his new device was already running WP 7.5 Mango !

Then he declared : everything is smoother and faster. Apps are integreted better. Every day I figure out another small feature that makes WP7 so wonderful. I'm so thrilled !

Incorrect: Autumn begins on 1st September

I've seen a few people say that begining of September is not Fall so now you can relay this correction if you see it posted.
Ofc if you're from North America you have diffrent ways of doing every thing compared to the rest of the world so maybe later in September (ie the September equinox) is when you consider Autumn to start, Dam moon lovers

Given that here in Russia they started selling WP7 phones on Sep 16th, the first phone is Mozart, and it runs Mango, it's safe to say that the update is ready, with OEM drivers and all that.
So I guess there may be two reasons for the delay:
1. There are problems with Microsoft's update infrastructure.
2. Microsoft is waiting for AT&T (and probably other important carriers) or Samsung to avoid the PR trouble they ran into last time.
On a side note, a weird thing is that Mozart is marked as "Top seller" on MTS (largest Russian operator) website, and it seems to have sold out in most stores over the weekend.

Actually there are two definitions. Either you seperate the seasons into months and then Fall is September, October and November.
But it is more accurate to take the tropic of cancer/capricorn into account because these acutally have a meaning and are not made up dates, and then September 23rd is the start of fall.
Also Joe Belfiore tweeted a link to a webpage stating september 23rd is the start of fall and that's all that really matters.

Just a random guess on my behalf I didn't say it was the date.

Anybody getting the Smartwatch 3?

Hey all
Sony's next generation smartwatch is a considerable step up in specs compared to its predecessor, packing a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor and a 320 x 320 LCD display, it certainly looks like a good upgrade. The rubber strap appears to have gone down rather badly, so Sony has addressed this by releasing a metal strap in addition, personally i would of preferred Sony to of made this smartwatch compatible with standard watch straps giving a much better choice. Then again we are yet to see if Sony has any other ideas, the "pop out" design could be used in other wearable applications, say on the sleeve of a jacket. Its going to be interesting to see if Sony makes full use of this design.
So who's upgrading? Or is this device drawing in new smartwatch owners?

I actually bought a Moto360 and returned it to buy the Sony.
3 things were bothering me from the beginning:
Black bar on the bottom. In my opinion a major design flaw.
Battery life compared to other smart watches
Usage of the old chip (I should note that in the couple of days that i had it, the processor seemed fine to me; but the fact that they used a 4 year old chip on a state of the art watch pissed the **** out of me. What ever their reasoning might have been. I couldn't comprehend their choice.
I was so blinded by the looks that i ignored them until i owned it. Finally i decided not to break my principals based on looks and returned it. I was looking for a more fitness oriented smartwatch since the beginning and the sony seems like a better fit. i just don't understand why it doesn't have a heart rate monitor???
Anyways i hope the release date is correct and the device works as advertised, because i have been waiting a long time to get a watch and frankly cant wait anymore. fingers crossed.

I'm hesitating, the 360 is Frickin neat but I had both Sony watches and they were both damned good. I guess I'll wait to see what owners say about the Sony SW3 before I decide.

Confirmed with Sony that the SW3 does not have wifi.
It was planned but the final version loses that feature. Probably Google did not support it.

According to Clove.co.uk the metal version will be available in mid november. The cheapest I've seen in preorder is Amazon.de - in order to see it you must find the standard version, click on the different offers/prices and the metal version will be an option for preorder.

Ice View Case Review

Hey guys, I finally got my Ice View case in this week and I thought I’d share some pictures. I’m quite excited about having it as it kind of exceeded my expectations. The design of the dot view case never really appealed to me and it always felt a bit gimmicky? I don’t know, I mostly got the Ice View because this is my first HTC and I wanted an official case to go with it but I think it might actually be so much more practical than I would have thought.

I’ve got some notifications open here at the bottom, which you can scroll through and then select which one you want to open which is pretty cool. If you tap the clockface it will also show you how much battery you have left.
Another thing I really like is that you can use the camera with the case closed! It’s just a little thing but it is so surprisingly handy haha. You can also control your musicplayer through the frontcover.
The case itself is very simple, just the HTC logo on the back and matt black all over. It is quite a slim case, so not highly protective, but I prefer it that way. I’m sure for my day to day use of the phone it will be well protected. You can see the rubber construction in the picture below, it looks (and feels) sturdy enough for me. Before this case came in I was walking around with my HTC 10 unprotected for a week or two and it’s been fine so I’m not that worried about anything happening to it now

Quite nice but HTC is terrible in releasing. The site says available but won't add to cart and then email says not available. It's weird. I'm buying mine from a China wholesale site. They have it for 10$ and has a see-through back.

Can you share the URL?

I have had the DotView for M8 and M9 and now the Ice view....
If the M8 had the M9 ones brightness and front flap material/build it would have been perfect
If the M9 had the M8 or Ice View (so far) hinge build quality it would have been perfect
If the Ice View had games (I miss brick breaker lol) and the ability to change the theme/colors it would be perfect...
Have liked them all (before them all my phones were naked)...hopefully IceView evolves over time!

Hello I have used dbrand skin on my p10.
There is also an British company that do similar skins. If you in Europe they will be a bit cheaper, but you only get one skin - not like with dbrand two. They are also split to separate pieces to not cover the antenna bands.
