I install N7100XXUEMK4_N7100ODDEMK1_N7100DDEMJ9_INU on my N7100 and I not rooted???How I root this device and install custom rom Omega,Phoenix, etc??Please help me....
You can root your mk4 firmware using instruction from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540761
To install custom roms, you have to first install a CWM/CWM based recovery and then flash the rom. There are different instruction for flashing different roms and you can find them in their respective threads.
CWM is installed...but bootloader in mj9 is locked????

If CWM is installed in your device then I guess you have already void your warranty, but if not then you can root by this method:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2553647
This wont trip your knox counter and your warranty will be intact.
No.the bootloader in mk4 isn't locked but after installing this bootloader you cant revert back to older bootloaders/firmwares.
The knox counter wont allow to revert back to older bootloaders.

Ok,and what I doing now?
Related
so, i'm reading this forum for 2 days now and i didnt get any answer.
i installed stock XXUBMJ7 (4.2.2) firmware with odin. Before i new anything about knox and stuff, I rooted, and get knox waranty void 0x1.
then i installed again XXUBMJ7 firmware with odin and didnt root again. (because i hate warnings at the boot). i still have 0x1.
now, I have two questions and i need simple answer.
1. Can I install newer stock (4.2.2) XXUBMK3 firmware with odin? will it work?
2. can i root my installed stock XXUBMJ7 firmware again and then install [CWM][ROM]GT-I9195XXUBMK3 deodexed, with no knox bootloader? will this work?
thanks
anyone?

U can install new one no problem i think .
But your Knox flag will remain so u can not reset it
My ota update keeps failing at 26%. I rooted a couple months back and flashed some roms just out of curiosity and decided I didn't really need my phone to be rooted. I then flashed stock recovery back and reset my binary count. When I go into odin mode nothing shows that something is modified and OTA still does not work. Sorry im a noob but what should I do?
DONT UPDATE !!
If you do...and root is detected...your KNOX flag will trip in the new bootloader...and you will never be able to return to a stock 4.1.2 device.
Also, the flag 0x1 means your warranty is toast.
No bootloader downgrades are possible...
Currently we have no fix for the bootloader or the flag...so if you want the freedom to flash anything....stay on the original bootloader by NOT taking the update...
Just my .02.....g

Hi All,
I have a 4.3 custom rom and the MJ5 bootloader.
Mostly I have read that the bootloader is safe and the warranty flag will not be triggered.
However some posts speak about a warranty flag 0x1 while using MJ5.
Is the bootloader completely safe or are there some things I should not flash? (Besides newer bootloader)
Thanks in advance.
Regards
It's not warranty flag, it is Knox flag. It doesn't have anything in common with warranty And yes, MJ5 is safe since it has no Knox.

Does this mean with MJ5 bootloader I can root, flash custom recovery and nonknox-firmware by PC Odin or knox-firmware by Mobile Odin freely without worrying about knox flag 0 to 1?

You can flash custom recovery (Phils v5.15 recommended) and custom ROMs. The only thing that will change is flash counter, but you can reset that with Triangle Away (will be increased each time you go to recovery, so you must run triangle away again), but you don't have to worry about KNOX, if you don't flash ROM wih KNOX (that is update bootloader). ROMs that are flashed from ODIN can have bootloader but if you flash from RECOVERY then you don't have to worry because these ROMs can't have bootloader.

It means if I flash stock ROM 4.3+ wih KNOX by PC Odin (update bootloader), does knox flag security change 0 to 1? If knox security is 1 then no way to revert back to 0?

No, if you flash STOCK 4.3+ with KNOX, you will have KNOX security and you will not be able to DOWNGRADE bootloader ever again. Only if you try to flash other non-official ROM without KNOX, will you have KNOX security 1.
And yes - there is no way to reverse KNOX security back to 0.
I rooted my friends S3 ATT with the s3 toolkit v7.0 he now wants me to unroot it so he can take the 4.3 update it have run the unroot and remove zip multiple times ( I even re rooted it and tried removing it again) and it will not remove clockwork mod recovery even though it says it will, it has successfully unrooted it the phone and removed super user and busy box . he does not want to loose all the data on his phone is there another way to remove clock work mod and get him back to the stock recovery so he can take the 4.3 update with out using triangle away ?
thanks
You would need to flash the stock recovery to replace CWM.

where do I acquire a stock recovery and is it flashed through oden or through clockwork ?
thanks
I'm not sure where to find the stock recovery as I have never seen one that is flashable via Odin, CWM, or TWRP.
By updating to stock 4.3, the phone will have a bootloader that cannot be downgraded and Knox will be installed.
I personally avoided the 4.3 update because the 4.3 bootloader makes it tough to go back to stock and tripping the knox counter will void the warranty. Also, knox can interfere with root access.

Hey, thanks for the post. I learned something too:good:
Hi guys, I'm getting this phone from someone and I want to know that if the phone came with 4.1 without KNOX bootloader what can I do for precautions to not flashing KNOX bootloader?
or, if the phone is came with 4.4 with KNOX bootloader how can I remove it? thanks.
The question should be if you still need to bother about KNOX? THe warranty is probably over and if you have lower bootloader, then flash MJ5 and ROM without KNOX and prerooted like OMEGA, which I recommend. If you have newer bootloader then just flash whatever you want and forget about KNOX

so there's no way to remove the knox bootloader right? So if I got the old bootloader, should I flash MJ5Patch?

If you get bootloader older than MJ5, flash MJ5 bootloader, it is the last one that works with 4.3/4.4.2 that is without KNOX. If you get it with MJ5, no need to do anything. If it's newer - you'll just have to live with the fact that Knox flag will be set to 1.... (if you want to flash custom ROMs)
