so, i'm reading this forum for 2 days now and i didnt get any answer.
i installed stock XXUBMJ7 (4.2.2) firmware with odin. Before i new anything about knox and stuff, I rooted, and get knox waranty void 0x1.
then i installed again XXUBMJ7 firmware with odin and didnt root again. (because i hate warnings at the boot). i still have 0x1.
now, I have two questions and i need simple answer.
1. Can I install newer stock (4.2.2) XXUBMK3 firmware with odin? will it work?
2. can i root my installed stock XXUBMJ7 firmware again and then install [CWM][ROM]GT-I9195XXUBMK3 deodexed, with no knox bootloader? will this work?
thanks
anyone?

Hello Firiends,
I had upgraded to official 4.3 MK4 and tried rooting it.
Unfortunately I triggered the Knox counter to 1 and still couldnt root my 4.3 SGN2. n
Nevermind.
When I tried downgrading it to 4.1.2, it failed.
So I downgraded using my nandroid backup and success. My nandroid backup was a rooted one.
Now when I use triangle away to reset flash counter, It does not reset it!!
I flashed stock recovery and I am on stock kernel.
Please help! I NEED GO TO THE SSC in a day or 2.
When I reset the counter it shows
Custom (yes 1 counts)
Binary : Custom
And the last option as Official.
Problem is you upgraded to MK4 bootloader with KNOX. You can't downgrade now. Possibly don't try to flash any other bootloader. You could have a brick.

Basically I dont want to downgrade.
But i can go to the SSC only if my binary and everything is official and flash count is 0.
I couldnt root on 4.3 MK4. Knox stopped everything.
Any fool proof method of rooting on 4.3? So that i can be done with the flash counter using triangle away?
4.3 MK4 with Knox counter 1 and everything official. Samsung said they can resolve it only if i visit the SSC.
PS: I have tried almost every method to root.
also Bricked devices are covered under warranty, arent they?

Hi ,
I also did the blunder of updating to 4.3 yesterday. I didnt know the knox would create a big problem. Only when I rooted it showed me the knox as 1.
But I was able to root (only root) with stock recovert. But unfor it increased the knox to 1. I am not downgrading or doing anything now .
Why you need to go to SSC and are they aware of the knox being set to 1 ? Will they reset the knox to 0 , if I am at 4.3 ?(I have not tried unrooting though)

Edit : It did make it samsung official, but still "Yes 1 count" is there.
I have triggered the knox counter ... and want to return to 4.1.2 to retain warranty .. to apply Dr. Ketan method I need mj5 rom bt hotfile site not working anymore... any other link for the rom ? Please help
If you need the bootloader only look here 1rst post at special instructions for 3.6 and above is a link for the mj5 bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2205009
Anyway if u r had flashed mk4 with bootloader or other newer I don't think is possible to downgrade or 0 the knox trigger.

thanks for quick reply.... i am currently on mk4 and have triggered the knox by using old method of root..... i tried to flash only mj5 bootloader bt it failed.... i need complete mj5 rom so that i can use dr. keten's method to make the bootloader knox free and then downgrade to 4.1.2....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2500823
The thread you are posted writed before mk4 and is for upgrade from mi6 or 4.1.2 not downgrade. Read this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2531965
Anyway if you can't flash mj5 bootloader (this is happening because you try to downgrade) also and all rom to try will be the same. Ask drketan if you can try his fix at your bootloader and how to downgrade, if is possible.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
lets start from basics.... since i am able to flash 4.3 mk4 rom as many times , so i can also flash 4.3 mj5 rom easily( i am not downgrading here )... after that by applying patch to mj5 bootloader i can make it knox free and since dr. ketan has posted in his comment that yes it is possible to downgrade after applying patch to mj5 boot loader .. so this is what i am thinking of..
plzz tell is method possible for me? if yes where can i find mj5 rom link...
thank u in advance
don't waste your time..its not possible to change the bootloader once you flash official 4.3.
rom and bootloader is different thing !!
btw, since your knox already triggered you can not flash anything beside official 4.3..odin will failed

N7100xxuemj5
hello great members, during my search on this N7100XXUEMJ5 to downgrade the 4.3, i found a reply that if i am on an official 4.3 and tried to odin N7100XXUEMJ5 it will not be considered as a downgrade and it will be accepted, it was not clear if the Knox was triggered or not will matter.
I would like to try it myself, but all the online links for N7100XXUEMJ5 are like disappeared i am searching for days now, all i can find is a cwm flashable rom and from my understanding this will not include the bootloader, i will need the odin version, and will be very grateful if someone shared it or uploaded it
what makes me feel it will work is that these links or copies were not disappeared by themselves so it may be the only backdoor, that is why it is hidden looool.
Also, if i want to de-trigger the knox, without removing it, is there away ? as per my readings, it has been done in a few sec in samsung shop (not sure of it)
I install N7100XXUEMK4_N7100ODDEMK1_N7100DDEMJ9_INU on my N7100 and I not rooted???How I root this device and install custom rom Omega,Phoenix, etc??Please help me....
You can root your mk4 firmware using instruction from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540761
To install custom roms, you have to first install a CWM/CWM based recovery and then flash the rom. There are different instruction for flashing different roms and you can find them in their respective threads.
CWM is installed...but bootloader in mj9 is locked????
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
If CWM is installed in your device then I guess you have already void your warranty, but if not then you can root by this method:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2553647
This wont trip your knox counter and your warranty will be intact.
No.the bootloader in mk4 isn't locked but after installing this bootloader you cant revert back to older bootloaders/firmwares.
The knox counter wont allow to revert back to older bootloaders.

Ok,and what I doing now?
Hello guys!!!
I have a Galaxy Note II N7100 for the past 1 year. I recently installed Hurricane v 8 rom which is based on 4.3 firmware. As I was using it, I realized the RAM was increasing up to 1.3 GB, the only thing that could fix it was to reboot the phone. Later I watched a youtube review of a Note II with an official 4.3 installed and the RAM was about 600 MB on that persons phone. So I went ahead and downloaded a 4.3 firmware N7100DDUEML4 from sammobile.com. After the installation via Odin I boot the phone and it was fine. I read a few articles on how I can root the 4.3 firmware with CF Autoroot and did it as it should be done. After the reboot, Knox blocked the SU and the KNOX flag went to 0x1. After all this I decided to install Philz Recovery via Odin and got access to recovery. My plan was to recover my Hurricane Rom that I previously backed up. After Philz recovery restored the Hurricane Rom, I got stack on Boot Screen. Because Knox is flagged 0x1 I can't install any firmware via Odin anymore. So the next step I did is to restore my phone via Kies. I managed to successfully restore it and now I have a 4.3 firmware N7100XXUEMK9 firmware and Android Status As Enforcing. How can I get root access with this firmware and what should I do with Knox flag 0x1?
Thank you in advance guys!!!
The SafeRoot exploit has been confirmed working for N7100 too (check here), but it can't help to reverse Knox flag 0x1. Try it out. it should work. Anyway, why bother warranty after 12 months?

Thank you so much for your reply, yeah it is true but it is not that I am worried about the warranty, I want to revert back to a different rom and patch a bootloader so I can install custom firmwares.MJ5 bootloader patch doesn't work for me. Is it possible at this time to patch this MK9 or it is still unsolved issue? Thank you once again for your reply.
I have read a lot of posts & make sure I understand the details before I upgrade to v4.3. The far too many failures for upgrades that I've ever seen prior to v4.3 make me more conscious than ever. I'm on MJ5 bootloader & successfully loaded two different custom ROMs without any problem. I suggest you to do more reading in this forums prior to the upgrade. If you're on bootloader newer than MJ5 then I would suggest to stay with the bootloader & root it with the Safeboot method then clean up the KNOX crap. It should work great after the upgrade, root & clean up. cheers.

Hello
I was wondering if someone can help.
I have a u.k n7100 running 4.3, its is rooted with knox disabled, in doing so I have tripped the knox warranty counter
I want to upgrade 4.4.2 stock
Is this possible due to the fact of my current situation. Will the upgrade go through?, like a routine upgrade keeping my data. I assume knox will be disabled and i will lose root, which i am fine with. Please let me know if it can be done and it is routine stock flash procedure using odin.
or are other steps required.
thanks

You can update with no problem at all, using ODIN you will lose data as for root it depends on ROM you flash if stock with root then you keep root but if not then lose it, Id recommend flashing a custom ROM with no wipe

Ofcourse you can upgrade to any stock firmware via odin but once KNOX is triggered it cannot be reset so even thought your binary counter will be reset after flashing official stock ROM, knox will still read 0x1.Good luck.
