Disclaimer
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BRICKS, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE READ THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS POST
What is it ?
This is a new version of a modem for the Galaxy S4 i9505.
This is not for the Google Edition.
The modem is for France, and cover the provider : SFR, Bouygues, or the phone bought without any provider ( this is my case)
it should be usable for other country, but the parameters of the modem could be not the most appropriate ???
Note : 'Version de bande de base' mean : 'BaseBand Version'...

I took this modem directly from an official Firmware, available in SamMobile web site.
How to flash ?
Get the file here : https://mega.co.nz/#!RdpWlS6a!ahKPHj5omnE-sc_31HpBHG6-2boUshtcbZo9e9RZaws
Use odin V3.04 (or odin 3.07) under a computer running windows XP, Vista, Seven, windows 8.0 or 8.1
Use Heimdall 1.4 or more recent under Windows, linux or OSX.
(see here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2071724 or here : http://glassechidna.com.au/heimdall/)
I didn't try Heimdall yet. But I think it will be a good solution for the futur, as it run on all platform (I own a Mac...)
About Odin (I used this method), there is plenty of tutorial over Internet and XDA-dev.
Run the application (run as Administrator if ruinning windows Vista, Seven, 8.0, 8.1)
it works under a virtual machine (like VMware) but odin will return an error at the end of pthe process, even if the flash works properly
select the file I9505XXUEMKF_modem.tar, and check the checkboxes like this. Odin should loks like this :
after that step, click on Start, and touch nothing until Odin has completed the job.
Reboot your phone, if Odin can't do it. if you phone stay stuck on samsung logo, reboot it manually again, before trying to flash again.
some tutorial says to flash twice the modem in case of the old modem remain.
Notes :
in my case, under the Virtual Machine, the process until writing works properly.
the last step (reboot) do not work and report an error in Odin, but the flash works.
BE CARREFUL, THIS MANIPULATION IS MORE FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY DO !
Enjoy
Olivier

Is compatible with old bootloader XXUBMGA ?
EDIT: you have not posted in section correct.

Wrong section. MKF is working fine over here too, with both GE (with random reboots of course, no fix yet) and TW roms (Omega).

some tutorial says to flash twice the modem in case of the old modem remain.

Not only flash twice : you sometime need to flash the modem a first time without the Odin reboot checked. Then you have to remove the phone batery, return to download mode and then flash a second time.
There's already a full and comple thread for Modem flashing, do we need another (incomplete) one ?

(désolé mon vieux )

No Problem, I post it here, as in the complete modem list, the MKF is not available...

Samsung i780 PDA ok PHONE not ok!?

Hello ,
Can anybody help i have i780 and there was WM6.5 23412 and i tried to update it to 23420 or 23071 but with both of these rom i got problem with flashing PHONE with mirage but failing in 50-70 % depending the size of rom..
I have had done it before to and no problems wasnt then ,and right know i have only pda functions and in the version button in settings there is only PDA number PHONE is blank,
using windows 7 and virtual windows xp!
Can anybody tell what may go wrong?
I have tried different things but neither on them working!
Sry my bad english!
Man, just realised what are you doing.
You are trying to flash PDA part to PHONE
All ROM's that are cooked are only PDA part!
PHONE part stills untouch!
You have now to reflash PDA and PHONE from offical samsung firmware.
After that you flash ONLY PDA part from any new version found here.
Good luck!
Just for case:I just say that with wm6.5 all was working probably. after ja try phone side was writing filed , last thing what i was tried was PDA side over flash in it worked! BUT PHONE side of mirage fail writing!

Ah thats simple. To flash phone part flasher changes usb state to cdma modem driver. So u need to install it first.
CDMA Modem Drivers:

Vista http://uk.samsungmobile.com/pmgmvst.do?visitgbn=10970108&coflag=0

Man you make me smiling! I wrote about this mistake before!
Look where you have to flash new ROM's - it"s PDA part (not PHONE)
So now phone part is wrong, because you have flash it with pda bin.
Make nwo next procedure:
Open in "PDA" : WM6.5.. ..bin
Open in "Phone": phone.bin (find download link below)
Flash! After first boot make hard reset.
Good luck
Phone part http://www.mediafire.com/file/mnzyd2mzdi5/PHONE.rar. Dont forget to upack phone.bin from rar
thank you! It worked ! I understand i before wanted to but pda to phone part!
but firstly when i got that mobile there was wm6.0 then i upgrade it to 6.1 and then with bin fail 6.5 but i remembered that i put both wm6.5 bin to pda and phone part and then it worked... or i might done something differently
anyway big thanks to you
Thank You
I had the same Problem i had already flashed Samsung Official rom at the end But fails to write the Phone with official .bin for phone..its giving error at Exactly 50%..
Let me try Your method..Hope it works for me too..
Thanks in Advance
hi mate
I have tried Your method of only flashing the Phone.bin (as per attached Pic)
I think there is some serious problem with the flashing part or the tool ...
may be the new version of Multi Downloader has any option to revive the Phone ..
Currently My phone has NO Network.
Can You help me...
Try some solutions:
1. download with phone part from (link I provided before).
2. There can be another trouble with CDMA drivers or USB. XP http://uk.samsungmobile.com/pmgmvst.do?visitgbn=10970107&coflag=0 Vista http://uk.samsungmobile.com/pmgmvst.do?visitgbn=10970109&coflag=0
Reinstall drivers. Connect USB to rear of PC not front. retry
3. download full upgrade (including upgadetool) XP http://uk.samsungmobile.com/pmgmvst.do?visitgbn=10970112&coflag=0 Vista http://uk.samsungmobile.com/pmgmvst.do?visitgbn=10970111&coflag=0
4. If doesnt help- try to flash on another PC with XP or Win7(use XP drivers).
Heineken78,
thanks for your help. I made the same mistake - flashed the phone part - and had a bit of trouble finding out how the solve the problem. Your solution is very easy to implement and very effective.
Thanks a lot!

You said "some overseas" ROM, then I think root is the way as it is region locked (as all new Samsung devices).
Got it connected it was something to do with PC as I was trying it with Windows 7 and works with no issues with XP
How do I do a clean install to flash stock rom as when i try it some files and folders are still present
Do hard reset before and after flashing.

Custom kernel is better with some custom ROMs.
I am using W7 Ultimate and no problems at all.
I would suggest you to uninstall all Samsung stuff, clear PC cache and restart. Reinstall drivers connect your phone and let install drivers. Don't install KIES. Unplug phone from PC and do hard reset (either via Menu or Home+Vol Up+Power). Then turn off your phone and reboot to download mode, connect to PC wait for driver installation and when Odin shows/recognized phone proceed with flashing. It takes about 5 min.
My CSC showing TSI (???) but flashed generic UK(BTU) and generic German (DBT) ROMs without any problems.
I have used this ( I9195XXUAMH2_I9195OXXAMH4_BTU) from Sammobile.
Not sure about Samsung's region lock, but I think its just 3 regions : EMEA, Asia and Americas.

[Q] GT-N7100 Soft-Brick

Hey Guys
1- I'v rooted my GT-N7100 long time ago (couldn't remember the method but the developer said the methood doesn't make any alteration to your device, Just root privilege. even doesn't install CWM)
2- I'v installed CWM through "ROM Manager" android app last week.
3- Installed some 4.4.2 ROMs but all unstable, crashing in few minutes. (All the ROMs got good comment 'n I think there is a problem with my device!!)
- DN3 (Ditto Note 3) ROM
- JellyKatv4
- CM11 ROM for Galaxy Note 2
- BLUE LIGHTNING
4- Decided to flash official 4.3 firmware downloaded from: "http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=12202" through ODIN, but got "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again“ message.
5- Decided to unbrick with ODIN, but every-time it fails (tried different ODIN versions 'n different USB ports)
6- Tried to do so with KIES, but it does not recognize the device (Stucks on connecting message, troubleshooting doesn't effect). Also tried "Tools> Firmware Upgrade and Initialization" option directly, It crashes in EVERY STEPS.
So if u have any Idea to fix this, please share!

Verify you've correct drivers installed and a working USB cable. Have you tried flashing your phone under PDA Tab? With only 'Auto Reboot' checked.

Downgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.1.1

Hi, I'm on a rooted i747m http://i.imgur.com/u65sAbb.png from telus, I wanna switch carrier and feel like unlocking it myself. Apparently there a working method on 4.1.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2529200 but I'm stuck in the downgrading part . I get the same message on multiples versions of ODIN (1.85, 3.04, 3.07) :
Code:
<ID:0/004> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/004> FAIL! (Auth)" : aboot
and a red SECURE CHECK FAIL in my i747m.
I tried many different 4.1.1 firmware from different carriers (also 4.1.2 stock from telus

The aboot message leads me to believe you are trying to flash a bootloader that is not compatible with your phone.
Are you able to confirm the bootloader on your phone?

Not sure how can I do that, I don't know any other way than check the phone system information
thanks
Install the Samsung Phone App from the Play store and run it. It will give you information about your phone.
If you have the terminal app on your phone, you could use that app to type in "getprop ro.bootloader".
i747mvldmf1 like my phone system information says
Looks like you should be able to flash the 4.1.1 firmware from sammobile.com using Odin.

Sorry, I missed the part where you mentioned the versions of Odin you used.
Were you able to unlock the phone? From what I remember, mobile Odin does not flash a bootloader.

Glad you got it all sorted out

Odin Fails when trying to stock restore

Hello everyone,
Today I was attempting to revert back to stock on my sprint gs3 (in order to update the modem software version to nd8) using a one-click made by rwilco12. (Unfortunately, I am unable to provide the link, but it is on this website).
Essentially, it is an all-in-one .exe file which contains odin and the stock firmware combined. I followed all of the instructions, yet after I press "start", odin fails nearly 20 seconds later, with the phone (which is on download mode) saying, "Secure check fail : aboot".
As of this time, the phone is still connected to my computer and is still in download mode. Is it safe for me to attempt to restart the phone while it's still in download mode and try again? And, if not, is there a solution to the "secure check fail : aboot" problem?
Any help would be EXTREMELY appreciated! Thanks!
Yes you can unplug and restart. Try a different port, or cable.
Also, are you sure your phone isn't a triband?
If you're sure its not a triband, then you don't have to bother with one clicks. Plus nd8 is very old. You can try nj2 or oh1. Just get a clean version of odin and the .tar you need.

Thank you for your prompt response, I am now downloading the stock nd8 odin flashable tar.
As for the one click, I tried a different cable, port and computer, but all with the same results. I'm not sure if this is helpful or not, but here is a screenshot of the error the one click is giving me.

Thanks again your help.
The triband is model sph-l710t. The "t" at the end makes it triband. Different phone, different .tar.
Also, try this odin.

Alright, thank you. It is definitely not a triband model, as download mode states it as "sph-l710" only. I will try that odin with the nd8 tar I just downloaded.

Also, on the odin that you pointed to, which of the buttons is the equivalent to the "pda" button from the older versions of odin?
