Friends would you suggest me a good call block app (without rooting device). I have used Mr number but I was not satisfied with it. I want the app to reply to the blocked caller similar as in call waiting or out of range etc (as in stock samsung). But apps that I used just take the call and hangs up which I do not require as it would seem that I hanged up on the caller. Thanks

by using avg you can auto reject and send msg .. but when you when you are waiting i don't know the app

is there any app which provide functions like root call blocker without rooting or is it even possible?

calls r getting through and the blocked person can easily understand that I am hanging his call.

But after a long search I am forced to root my xperia m for advanced call blocking features.

I'm newbie here and after searching all threads and found nothing so I'm looking for an app that can ignore a call from a blackilist of numbers without showing anything on the phone's display but also without hanging up the caller! There is an iphone app giving this "ignore" option called iBlacklist if I'm helping!!

Don't want to reject and show it to him, meaning hang up!!!

Is there a true caller ID app? one that show's who is calling if the person is not in your contacts? Like the old land lines used to show if you had caller ID service.
There's a few in the market like white pages, Mr numbers, etc. Just search caller id. There won't be any free ones (that I know of) so be ready to pay a little bit of money for true caller id services.
I also think such an app would only work while you're on 4G or WiFi. I believe they basically do a quick search on the net, and if you're not connected to 4G or WiFi, you don't have a data connection while your phone is ringing.
I've never understood why the name feature of landline caller ID wasn't carried over to cell phones.

you should try TrueCaller. Get the apk file by visiting truecaller.com from your phone´s browser
Try "death to unknown callers" by addafix in the market, its free and will automatically search the white and yellow pages to display listed numbers when they call. It also offers a feature to block certain numbers. Great app, works great for my EVO (rooted) but not on my fiancees EVO (uprooted). But it doesn't need superuser permissions so I'm not sure why it doesn't work for her.

Thanks for your feedback about this. For now, i have decide not to install TrueCaller. Instead i have installed WhosCall, which is available directly from google play.

Isn't that something you have to manage with your provider? Your phone will unlikely be monitoring someone elses phone network availability and thus polling constantly to the other number. I know some providers give you these possibilities (at least I had it once here in the Netherlands) by pressing a number and then hang up and then a call is buing set up between you and the other person as soon as he is available.
Or do you meen something else?

No provider issues , on galaxy S3 short 1 sec notification. But u have to glance into the display for that.
Is there no app that can enable a sound notification also on Anrdoid for calling somebody who is already in a call
so we can detect that we are in call waiting ??

Just got my lg g3 yesterday and having issues getting this to work. Coming from and old htc it was easy as going into the contact and hitting block.
I have figured out how to block calls from this number but blocking texts i cannot do. I have found how to block through both the call app and the call log by holding down kn the number. When i do this on a text in the message app the only thing that pops up is the contact and the delete option.
Please help me find spam directory you are mentioning. I have the lg g3 from sprint runing 4.4.2 .

I would rather not root my phone just yet. I may go in and look at the htc m8 and see if they offer this feature still.
When in call logs hold the number and u will get options, choose reject call..
Call Filter doesn't require root. I have used it for over a year on multiple phones blocks calls and I believe texts but I don't need to block texts so haven't tried.

Go into the dialer hit the menu key and there will be a call reject tab. You can do it from there.
not working for me
I used to be able to long press on a number from my recent call list and add it to a reject call list (this was on my Samsung Galaxy S3) .... on my LG G3 I don't get that option ... only "view", "edit" "copy" "clear" and "clear logs". What am I doing wrong?

It's not connected with the dialer app. There's no easy way to get this working.
I miss it too from Windows Phone.

If this feature is integrated in the Stock Android you might want to wait on the AOSP Custom Rom which is coming soon. Otherwise there's probably no solution for you right now.
