Hello, i need a little explanation of why the camera app is not working after flashing a rom like CM 10.1 to my dinc.. Even if i installed another camera app from the play store it wont work. Even the vedio camera is not working. Even the gallery is not working. But in my stock Sense rom it worked fine. Is there a way where i can use the Camera app of the stock Sense rom and use it in my new CM 10.1 rom.. WIl it work ?
Most 10+ Roms have notes that cameras may not work and to use Camera ICS

yeah its because people dont know htcs camera drivers because they wont release them so like he said Cyanogenmod 10 and up you want to use a different camera or stick to stock if the camera is essential, you can try a sense rom.
Another vote for ICS Camera. I was running Tiny's CM10.1 and ICS camera worked.
Good luck.

No, the stock sense camera won't work on anything other than sense. Video camera has been mostly broken on all ROMs ICS and newer, due to driver issues mentioned above. The camera should work on the most recent versions of CM10.1, 10.2, etc., though camera preview may be glitchy especially when rotating. If video recording is important, you're going to have to stick with a sense-based ROM or CM7.2 or older.

Its personal taste. I use CM7 stable which is (as the name suggests) stable. It depends if you want AOSP on sense

Just so you know - FM and Video Recording do not work in CM6.
cm 7.0.3 seems fine for me and everything works
I'm finding CM7 buggy in the long run also. Have this regular problem where opening messages leaves me with a blank screen which sometimes appears if I rub the screen up and down.
Hi guys,
I have a question. Can I find somewhere stable or fully functional ROM based on CM9 or CM10?
I looking for rom with this operating system. I used 7.2 but for me there weren´t thing like synchronize contacts with Fb etc.
After this I install a CM9.1 but this operating system had problem with camcorder and was freezing and unstable.
Now I have a CM10 builded on Olivers code from 7th december. Rom looks stable, but camcorder still doesnt working. Youtube doest working, video doesnt working.
I have tip for guys try to implement libraries from cm 7.2 to cm10 to start camcordere working, maybe it will be good.

Don't you think if it was that easy they'd have done it already? -____-
P.S. I use an app called haxsync to sync contacts from FB. It works great. try it.
Whattup, S III Chaps.
I am trying to use the Lenovo Super Camera MOD from this thread: Lenovo Supah Camerah, while running SlimBean 4.3.1.
The MOD installs perfectly, but the camera won't take any photos. Every attempt made results in the app FC'ing and the camera unable to connect. A Reboot is required to restore camera use.
I've even tried the MOD on CM 10.2.1, with stock kernel; same problems as above.
My question is: Has anyone tried that camera MOD on their S III running an AOSP ROM? If so, did it work for you? And if it did, how did you get it to work?
Thanks for any help given!
That's known with SlimBean. Switch to Liquidsmooth if you want that mod. I made a big search for Photosphere enabmed cameras and they all FC'd on SB. Well except this one. It didn't FC but the Photosphere part of it does not work.
But for it to not even work on CM 10.2.1......
Alright, I will try LiquidSmooth and report back later.
Thanks for your suggestion!
So I even tried CM 10.1 (4.2.2); the Lenovo Camera still didn't work.
I guess the Lenovo MOD just doesn't like my phone? Or AOSP?
Did you try Liquid?
hey guys. I have problems with snapchat. I dont know why,but at stock ROM's and ONLY gin2kitkat it works very good but when i flash an custom rom (i think all of possible here) it make's this app buggy. Sometimes video doesnt work, sometimes camera wont get focus, sometimes it just crashing around.
What the hell make's it buggy? maybe its something in kernel?
I am asking because i want to have ICS rom with Xposed modules but at ICS my snapchat is bugged :/

I am running a CM 12 derivative (Bliss ROM for E970/GEEB) which uses Snapdragon Camera. Not sure it is the same as CM 12.1 but if you search for it one of the hits will be the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/themes-apps/snapdragon-camera-t3213605 which has detailed installation instructions. Reading around it seems that some have gotten it to work without copying lib files.
Another camera that works with my E970 on Bliss (Lollipop) is Open Camera (which is free) from the Play Store

Rereading your OP I see you want the stock LG camera. According to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2280974 it is not possible.
I wonder if you combine the Snapdragon camera install instructions with the LG stock files if you might be able to get it working.
