this is general post this kind of things in the Q&A

select flashmode
select your FTF
simply follow instructions
(note when it asks you to press back button when preparing done ,it means when xperia is off hold volume down and plug in)

There is a Root for Jelly bean , there are different methods
method 1
download flashtool
unlock your bootloader
install a custom kernel with a recovery
install Super user VIA recovery
method 2
use bin4ry root
method 3
install custom kernel with recovery
download a pre-rooted rom
Search them up

Hi Folks
I need some help with flash tool.
I cannot install the drivers for flashtool and because i cant do this i cannot flash any roms. I try and install the drivers for XPlay, FlashMode and Fastboot from the flashtool driver toll. And i get the following message.
Google Inc (Win USB) AndroidUsbDeviceClass Install Fail
Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications (ggsemc) USB Install Fail
Sony Ericsson (WinUSB) sa0102AdbDeviceClass Install Fail
I have tried running as admin and have tried various methods from the forum to no avail. I have SDK installed. At present i can not go into recovery. Is there anyway to manually install these drivers.
Please Help.
Hold down back button while plugging your play in when it is off and it should install drivers without flashtool

Hey there,
Did u install The Drivers and used the correct keys for fastboot and flashmode and most important drivers for Xperia P, Xperia U
for fastboot - volume up
flashmode - volume down
Download flashtool and install drivers from the drivers folder that u get after installation
I get Error when Installing the Fastboot Driver "google.inc(win8) not installed .
