Download 'Triangle Away' from play store and reset binary counter to zero ( need root )
Download your official firmware from www.sammobile.com ( in the 'firmware' section, download it based on your country )
It may require you to register in the site .....
Download Odin from the link
http://ul.to/f/rwp6rq
Extract the firmware zip file ( mostly you will get a single tar or md5 file )
Switch off phone ... hold volume down-power-home key together .... in the screen that appears press volume up again (to continue)
Open Odin .... connect device via usb
Odin will recognise your phone
Click the pda button in Odin and select the extracted file
Make sure only 'f.reset time ' and 'auto reboot' are checked
Click start button and wait ..... the phone will reboot automatically....
Hope it helps...

Yes everything will be gone ....
Except for the system apps ( like my files , play store etc ... all those stuffs which were there when you brought the phone )
Creating complete backup is not better in this case.... if you backup apps ( including their data ) with titanium backups ... you need to root again to restore them..!!
Better go for app backup software ( that backups only apps, and do not require root access ) like 'App backup& restore ' , 'super backup' etc.
Make sure the backup is files are in external sdcard (move the files to ext sd if they came in internal after backup)
Hope it helps..

just get 3btn combo working! it is easy...then
flash cf-root or hardcore's kernel with odin.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
Instructions (long)
- Follow these instructions to the letter. Do not touch any buttons or checkboxes that are not listed below to touch!
- Unzip the attached CF-Root-JPx-vX.X.zip
- (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
- Start ODIN
- Click the PDA button, and select CF-Root-JPx-vX.X.tar
- Put your phone in download mode
- (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
- Make sure repartition is NOT checked
- Click the START button
- Wait for the phone to reboot
- Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you need practise!)
If you are on a JPx FW then all i did was flash the speedmod kernel via odin which has CWM recovery and 2e on it.
Place Darkyy's rom on your SD card
Boot into recovery and install the Darkyy zip.
The entire process should take about 10 minutes.

Hi TheKoomba2010;10993474. Unrar the attachment below and use root explorer to copy the recovery from the file to system/bin. Make sure you backup the recovery from the system first (just in case). Then copy all the content in the xbin from the file and paste in the system/xbin and reboot. Good luck.
Thanks angiogram! it worked. Now I have 2e recovery.

help with cwm6 needed before flashing cm9

hi all....total Android noob here...
after a lot of research and some 'should i or shouldn't i' episodes, i've successfully rooted my wonder in order to flash to cm9. along the way i've discovered that it is 'desirable' to have cwm 6 installed first.
from what i understand, there are 2(?) ways of doing this...either via stock recovery in the ADB(?) shell or via ODIN...
ODIN *seems* to be the preferred method though. but here lies my problem.....i can't get it to work...i've found several links to download odin, and several links to download cwm 6.....also several different sets of instructions as to how to actually do it.....
it would really help if i had one set of downloads for odin and cwm 6 and one set of step by step, clear, precise, tried and tested instructions....
i've also tried nandroid backup as a 'partial' alternative to cwm 6, but it's not compatible with my phone.
additional info (if needed).....
os version - gingerbread 2.3.5
carrier - 3UK
kernel version - 2.6.35.7-perf-I8150XXK18-CL604835

many thanks in advance.....

Here is the way to flash CWM6 using Odin, if you wanna flash CWM5 just use the md5&ops files for CWM5, which you may need to find them somewhere
1. Download Odin & Ancora.ops & recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.2-ancora.tar.md5
2. Enable USB Debugging in Setting-Application- Development
3. Open Odin.
- Select the ops file, and enable one package in options
- then load the md5(recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.2-ancora.tar.md5) file with the One Package button.
- put ur phone it into download mode, first turn off phone, then hold Volume Down + Home + Power Button for a while.
- Phone will turn on and show some screen, then you plug in usb cable (it may look for the driver through Windows Update so please enable your computer's Internet connection).
Get the files (please find Odin from somewhere else): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1446593
Good luck and sorry for my bad English~
THESE STEPS NEEDS ROOT & BUSYBOX, DOESN'T NEED PC & ODIN..
FOR BEST RESULT, UPDATE YOUR SUPERUSER.APK, SU BINARY, AND BUSYBOX
-go here http://www.mediafire.com/?6wkwiko5gmqhuyr link by acro68 the author of W's CM9 and who made CWM possible to our device
-download and extract it..
-put the recovery.img in /mnt/sdcard
-download "Terminal Emulator" by Jack in market (FREE OF COURSE)
-open it then type "su" and click enter
-allow root access..
-then type "dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13" then click enter <~ THAT IS "0" (ZERO) not "O" word..
-then some text will show in bottom
-exit terminal.. check the recovery by turning off the device then turn on with volume up botton, home button, and power button pressed together.. until "Galaxy W" screen shows up, release the power button only.. then you will enter CWM
-navigate with up (up) n down (down) vol button and home keys (select) and power (back) and click "reboot system now" to reboot

did you forget to add -enable the "USB Debugging" on Setting-?
if you're gonna flashing stock rom with ODIN, you're not gonna need USB Debugging setting..
but if recovery, you need it..

Hi,
how can I know if CWM6 is compatible with my kernel?
Thanks a lot.
Model code: GT-I8150
Android version: 2.3.6
Version base band: I8150XXKL3
Kernel version: [email protected] #3
Build version: GINGERBREAD.XXLA2
as far as I know, recovery has it's own kernel..
Hi all...installed CM9 last night...all went well....
Have noticed that there's no Task Manager or Media Player Apps....is it just that I'm looking right at them and not recognizing them for what they are, or are they not included in the build?....if they're not included, which 3rd party apps would you recommend for use instead?.....
Also, for information, I had ONE minor glitch occurrence when using the camera.....as follows...
Started camera app..
Changed from primary to secondary (self portrait) camera...
Changed the exposure setting to +2....
App force closed.....
Apart from that, no other issues to report.....
A big thanks to everybody involved for taking the Galaxy W and producing such a fantastic alternative to 'stock'.....
PS......will cm10 be ported to the W?....lol...(got the Modding bug now . )
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda app-developers app
Hi again....can confirm that the force close camera issue (as described above), is a continuing problem on all increments of exposure compensation setting. With that in mind, is there a 3rd party camera app available that has the same functionality as the installed app but without the gimmicks?......
As mentioned before, CM9 really is a welcome step up from the 'stock' OS, so if the camera issue is the only issue with CM9, it's still worth 'taking that leap'.....
Once again, many thanks for the work put in on this....Keith

Moving CWM6 backups to PC
Hi guys, I have a question here. How can I move my backups I created using CWM6 to a PC so I can free up my internal sd space? I don't think those folders on clockworkmod\backup are full backups because the blob folder is much larger.
I'm using Samsung Galaxy W I8150, CWM 6.0.1.2, CM9 Alpha7.

have already and safe.. BUT:
-make sure your USB Cable is still in good condition.. if you are not sure, DO NOT MOVE CABLE WHILE COPYING FILES..
-you had fast enough PC.. DO NOT COPY FILES WHILE LAGGING
-NO VIRUS ON YOUR PC..
-make sure NO SOFTWARE BLOCKING YOUR PHONE DRIVER..
-if you backup to external sd, BETTER USE CARD READER TO COPY THOSE FILES TO PC
-IF ZIPPING OR RARING FILES, DP NOT COMPRESS LIKE CRAZY (COMPRESS NORMAL OR JUST STORE -without compression-)
-always reject/unmount removeable drive TO PREVENT CORRUPT FILES ON YOUR SD, USB, OR ETC..
safe backup

[Recovery] CWM Recovery v5.5.0.4 (Fixed) For Micromax A90

How to install clockworkmod recovery:
Edit: Fixed install zip from sdcard bug
Method 1: Needs root
The first method is preferable for those who have root access on their Micromax A90. Those who do not have a rooted device should follow Method 2 instead.
1. Download cwmr_v5.5.0.4 (fixed).zip and unzip/extract it. After extracting move both the files to the root directory of your SD card.
2. Install mu7577.apk and run it. After that give the program root permissions if asked and tap Recovery Update.
3. Select recovery.img from SD card then tap the ok button.
4. Now you can reboot to recovery.
Congrats!
Method 2: SP Flash Tool method, root not required
1. Download MTK6575 Drivers.zip and unzip/extract on your Windows PC, just run InstallDriver.exe to install drivers.
2. Download cwmr_v5.5.0.4 (fixed) + scatter.zip and SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1220.02_FOR_S101A.zip , unzip/extract them.
3. Now open extracted SP Flash Tool folder and run Flash_tool.exe
4. Click on "Scatter-loading" button which is on the right side below Downloading Agent. A new window will open. Browse to the extracted cwmr_v5.5.0.4 (fixed) + scatter folder and select MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt file.
5. Flash tool will populate the Map file on the application window. You will see multiple entries. Uncheck all entries except for RECOVERY.
6. Now click on "Download". Warning message will occur, but ignore that and click Yes.
7. You will see in the status bar below "Searching", now connect your phone (without battery inserted) via the USB cable.
8. Wait for the process to finish and then you will get a window showing green circle.
Congrats You have flashed CWMR!
Note: If you get any error in SP Flash Tool, then recheck your MTK drivers installation or manually install them through device manager.
Booting into CWM recovery is the same as in the stock recovery. Switch on the phone with "Volume Up" and "Power" button Pressed. The Phone will boot into CWM!
I have also attached the the Stock Recovery.zip.

Hi, it woks with NGM Legend ? (mtk 6575 phone)
Still no sign of any custom ROM?
Anyway, which device has a similar config as the A90. I'll try flashing it's custom ROM.
Custom Rom ICS 4.0.6
Dear All,
See my thread here for Custom Rom
My mobile is - NXG Phablet.
Its specifications match to A90.
Check - ics 4.0.6 custom rom in my thread and download.
but use your A90 ics 'boot.img'.. means, replace your 'boot.img' in the downloaded file and rezip and flash through CWM recovery.
after boot it will come in Russian language. (because it is for Star N8000 - russian forum). so change language to english in settings. also , default launcher is SPB shell - Russian version. so install another launcher and use.
Rom is very good.
check here in CUSTOM ICS area.

Then they should freeze them with titanium backup. There is literally 0 benefit of removing them. You can't reclaim space. At least with titanium you can defrost the frozen apps if some done wrong.

[Tutorial][GUIDE][HOW TO][ROOT][STOCK][ROM] Everything Galaxy Y GT S5360T & Arabic
Basically this thread is for all Galaxy Y (Galaxy Young) GT-S5360T, i needed to do a lot with this mobile, so I am sharing it all here;
Flash Arabic Stock ROM to AU/NZ Galaxy Y GT-S5360T Devices
This device is only intended for AU, NZ & Israel so only the Israeli ROM comes with Arabic.
You can't use Odin with SamMobile.com Firmware, you need an Odin flashable ROM.
Thanks to Doky73 for his S5360 Flashable Firmware Packages.
You can use any one of ROMs intended for S5360, that will work fine with no problem at all, but only three titled Arabic
But if you are like me, needs everything to be perfect and wanna see your correct model name on boat screen download the Israeli ROM Doky converted to Odin for me from here
https://hotfile.com/dl/228117046/fb0ea97/S5360T_JKLC2_PCLLC1_JJLC1_wipe_by_SplitFUS2.zip.html and unzip it, to get three .tar.md5 files.
note that this will WIPE your data
And download Odin 3.07
If you don't have Samsung Kies installed on PC, then you must download & install Samsung USB Driver or Softpedia
Backup all your data since this is a WIPE ROM that will erase all your data, so you can restore them later, copy images & music and use Super Backup for Contacts & SMS
Make sure you batter is at least 75%
1 - Shutdown your device
2 - Boot your mobile in download mode by pressing all together Volume Down + Home + Power Buttons
once you see the Yellow warning screen, release the buttons
3 - Select continue by pressing Volume Up
4 - Now you see "Downloading" line below the android logo, connect your mobile to PC
If you have any other device connected to any COM port, please disconnect
5 - Open Odin & wait till it reads your mobile, then you will see any of the ID:COM boxes highlighted in Yellow or Pink for newer Odin versions
6 - Now this is Important, ONLY check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time, uncheck any other box
7 - Files:
in PDA section: browse for the PDA file (in this case: PDA_S5360T_JKLC2.tar.md5)
it will take few seconds to confirm integrity of the file
in Phone section: browse for the Modem file (in this case MODEM_S5360T_JJLC1.tar.md5)
in CSC section: browse for the CSC file (in this case CSC_S5360T_PCLLC1.tar.md5)
NO pit file/No bootloader
8 - Click Start, wait for Odin to give you green light "PASS" and phone restarts
9 - When phone shows home screen, disconnect from PC & setup your device
10 - Congratulations
Root your Galaxy Y GT-S5360T
Using Universal GingerBread ROOT the only worked fro me with S5360T ROM
Make sure you batter is at least 75%
1 - Download Universal_GingerBread_ROOT_v8 from
http://www.4shared.com/zip/oZK3JRkf/Universal_GingerBread_ROOT_v8.html
OR
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1N4S4lFfOgUM21PNDhJMVU5TEE/edit?pli=1
And press Ctrl+S to download file
2 - Copy the file to your SD Card's root folder (put it outside every folder)
3 - Shutdown your device

5 - Go to "update from SD card" with Volume buttons to move up & down, and hot Ok with home button
6 - Locate ZIP file and choose it with Home button
7 - Follow on screen instructions
8- IF asked to add SUser, press OK
9 - When you see successfully rooted your phone, Choose Reboot/Restart
10 - To confirm ROOTing, install Root Checker
Remove System Apps from Galaxy Y GT-S5360T
To reduce space, memory, and remove apps like Yahoo Finance & Jewish Calendar - in case you installed Israeli ROM
Install Link2SD from Play Store, it needs Root, so if not rooted, go to above Step.
Once Installed, open it, Super User will ask to grant root access, press Yes & remeber
To reduce space/or having applications so slow
Choose the application, go to actions, clear cache
You can also clear Data, but that will delete all user data like in Facebook, it will remove your logins, in Gmail will remove your Synced emails.
To remove app:
Choose any application, Go to Actions, Clear Data then open actions again to uninstall.
What else would you like to do with your Phone?
There is an iraqi rom

Titanium Backup is better than Link2SD in removing system app.

Well, I use ROM TOOL BOX; it is much better than any root app. Its an All-in-one app.

I adore TBU, and I am using the PRO version myself, but Link2SD is smaller, lighter, simpler for beginners. That's why I install for my friends who wants to remove system apps
