thank you, in this case, we can conclude that only certain firmwares are affected as 10a release.
I found it in Rayglobe 3.2
I found..but cannot delete it.
Some developers are not even aware of its existence so look in your custom roms.
You must be root gentleman and remove with a file explorer.
I have that folder, but what do these apks do? What will the effect be?
stricktly no effect.
These are applications that sleep
it is not even installed.
Firmware Lg is sloppy, and here is an example.
They are like pebbles in your shoe, the removed without any worries.
Folder not present on vs980 with 11a update

exact as this is present in Some firmware like mine

Great finding thnx

No carrier folder in vendor for me on AT&T Rooted Stock D80010d, but I did have an app folder in vendor which contained a few AT&T apps that I deleted!
Could they be hidden somewhere else in our software?

forgive me, but with google translate I do not understand what you say.
There are applications in this place and sometimes not.
I just concluded that LG has not finalized the firmware or simply let things that should not be the.
I notice the same theme in optimus there full of wallpapper, much more than we see.
nothing was finalized or when the details are forgotten.
I have LGNLPService, LGRemoteCall and LGTTSPAService in there. Jeg er også norsk
Unless you repartition /system it doesn't really matter for a normal user, but nice to know

As the title says: please someone cook a stock based rom for the international version of the optimus g e975. I am a total noob and am therefore not able to cook one myself. Romkitches is not compatible with our phone but does support the nexus 4 (mako) though. If one is able to explain or provide info on the process of cooking a booting stock based rom for lg phones I might do it on my own.

this is a great idea. i was a bit disappointed when i upgraded to the LGOG (from HOX) that there were only as AOSP/AOPK roms available. right now, I get by with a rooted stock rom. it would be nice to have a custom rom based on stock.
on another note, it would be awesome to start with a stock based kernel with swipe2wake or double tap 2 wake. it's an upcoming feature of the OG2 and used to be my favorite kernel mod for the HOX.
if i wasn't so caught up with work I'd be more that willing to help out.

The OP is mentioning Modem for "E975".
As far as I now, to install this on E975 you will need a compatible Kernel and there is none, if you install Houstonn Kernel you will have non working camera!
aw, it's such a pity though, the Rom had a lot of promise. I just checked back there and I saw that the thread was closed at Aug 4. Bummer.
maybe the kernel will mature eventually and bring a working camera. i don't use the camera that often but i need it sometimes to take picture notes. i'll keep an eye on the kernel thread.

I just had a read through a couple of tutorials. there must be a way to keep the stock kernel, only root it and debloat and deodex all the system data. I have no clue of compiling a kernel and adding stuff like slide 2 wake though. I will try to contact the dev of romkitchen and maybe get something out of there. I cannot imagine it to be that hard. It is kinda urgend, cause my phone keeps crashing with cm10.1 -> bluescreen and system crash....I will have time on the weekend though. If somebody is willing to help me we can meet in IRC. AT LEAST GET ME SUM TUTORIALS TO COOK A STOCK LG ROM I have some here but they seem to be old. I have no other sources.
Bro I have stock based flashable zip for e975. I personally made it for my personal use but I think I should share this to you guys since you want a flashable stock rom. It's 600mb rooted, deodexed, debloated and zipaligned. It will take sometime to upload this since I am living in a slow internet country.

How you deodexed the rom coz im getting error while doin tat...!!
+1
I'm also cooking E975 international 4.1.2 stock based rom, but still testing because there will be modded kernel with overclock possibles and also option to choose what stock applications you want to install, possibility to choose few performance options (internal sd-card buffer, memory management, dfsync ON/OFF, swappiness etc.) with Aroma installer
My priority is to cook and mod rom and kernel that is stable as LG's orginal rom, but it will have many performance and battery improvements.

To deodex just use dsixda's Kitchen but make sure you set the correct API level. Here's a list

Good to see this. But i think overclocking is not needed since Optimus G s already a biggest battery sucker.....1.5 Ghz quad core is far far bettr....Evn in ECO mode (1.5ghz dual core mode) it works smooth.....also swap is also not needed coz more than 50% Ram is empty...!!...

Same with me system files from CWM backup can't be use so here;s what I did.
1st you must install Terminal Emulator from market.
Run this command
su [Enter]
tar -c system/* >> sdcard/system.tar [Enter]

It will take sometime to finish so be patient.
Once it is finish you will see the system.tar file which includes all the system files. It's weird because I restarted my phone before seeing the system.tar folder inside my sdcard. (maybe you can do that too if you don't see it)

I have done the same before but there are missing files. You don't even know if your busybox is working or not. Try using the commands to check if you have working busybox. I encountered many errors before like "sh: tar not found".
It's great to see this, I miss so much my days of testing roms (SGS3). The OG is perfect with the stock rom but I think that the visual aspect is kind of lame. If you guys can improve the menus and the visual aspect would be perfect!!!
P.D.: Maybe add some features of the OG Pro Rom

Please someone can pull those apk and upload here. Our Lg G3 ATT version dont have this installed.

We don't have FM radio either.
Seems that only Sprint and international have fm like it was on the G2 as well. Too bad I like that feature.

Is the hardware there, and just disabled? Or is it removed all together? I find it annoying that my Droid X was able to make my mp3 player obsolete, yet the last 4 phones I've had couldn't. It's just the carrier's wanting us to stream music so they can charge us more for data.
Did you tried to download the FM from Lg SmartWorld?

Hello,
Here is a zip with the files you need, unzip, place LGVidClip.apk and LGVoiceRecorder.apk and both the odex files in /system/priv-app/ with rw-r--r-- permissions and place LGFmRadio.apk in /data/preload/ also with rw-r--r-- permissions.
Anyone able to get LG vid clip working? Supposedly we should be able to edit a video by hitting the menu button. This didn't work for me on AT&T G3. Maybe we need video apk as well?
I can't get the fm radio to work on my att g3. Any suggestions?

Think you will have to install an internet radio like TuneIn.
For the other two apps: they might have been frozen, so try to unfreeze them using Rom Toolbox. Otherwise, move your own apk's + odex to the SD Card and reboot, then move them back and reboot again, still not working? Move them back to the SD Card and try using my apk's.
same result with all of the above.....weird
some kind of block from att i think

This will most likely solve your problem, but you will probably run Sphinx G3 Neo or VDT V8 so you won't get the LG updates

A gms core error...what can i do ??
Can you be more specific?
GmsCore.apk is the Google Play Services apk packed into system/priv-app/GmsCore by removing the lib folder and placing those .so files in subfolder GmsCore/lib/arm of said folder.
You did choose the Google Play Services with the lib subfolder /armeabi-v7a, right? If you got that from your data partition and named appropriately, it should work but it's best to clean install so the the original in data partition is removed and no stray files/data remain.
At least that's how I do it... quick and dirty as far as the packed apk is concerned. Not sure if you really have delete the sub lib folder for lollipop but I still do.
You can manually move/pack updates to system in that fashion. It seems the applications that claim to be capable of integrating updates into system cannot do this for Google Play (Phonesky) or Google Play Services or Google Search (Velvet). Manually doing this requires deleting the associated /data/data and /data/dalvik-cache files that belonged to the /data/app apk's.
Thats what i didnt do when j build the rom i guess ill do it again thanks for the help
You're welcome. Good luck with that. I'm guessing the only testers you'll find are the ones that unwittingly took the OE1 update or had no control of that update decision.
Hopefully whatever happened with OE1 won't be a continuing trend with Sprint updates. Totally uncool and not smart with ongoing bleeding of subscribers before this even happened. Maybe the blame isn't all Sprint's but they should have input with Samsung to fix this down the road. At least I'm hoping so.
Chime in if you need any further consult. I'm sure you'll find help from sympathetic capable members.

Can anyone with this phone dump and upload the /oem directory? Apparently it has apps like File Browser and such in it, and none of the tools out so far can extract oem.img in the factory image like you can with system.img and boot.img.
(I know there's an APK of File Browser out, but I'm interested in what other stuff may be in that directory.)

If you mean the US models, I don't know how to extract the contents of oem.img, but here's some of the other odd apps I see in the stock ROM but hidden:
Motorola App Box: seems to be something to do with MX/BR/CO carriers, as there are activities for TIM Brasil, Movistar MX, Movistar CO, Claro BR, Vivo BR, and Tigo CO.
App Widget: seems to be something for Bell Canada
Easy Prefix: seems to have something to do with international calling on dual-SIM phones (there are also some apps that have to do with dual-SIM usage, even though the US model is single-SIM only)
File Manager: just as you mentioned
My Consumer Cellular: most likely shows in the app drawer when you insert a Consumer Cellular SIM card. Since the service is aimed at seniors, it was most likely pre-loaded as a convenience, since seniors aren't typically into app downloads.
Prip: push to talk app, a google search shows that it's used by AT&T Mexico, and is available as a separate stand-alone app
Republic Wireless: US MVNO that makes heavy use of custom code for their calling functions (all calls are VOIP iirc). They rely on users placing most calls over WiFi, so they had to have Moto pre-install software on the phone to support it
Think I got it all.

Not exactly but close. It's not triggered by the sim. CC has their own roms that includes the app as a system app. It can also be installed from Play. Rarely I have seen Motorola push out an ota that should go to a CC phone and it will install the app. They dont have the CC version of the G4 in Sears and Target where they sell their phones so it would almost have to be an app install that puts it on a G4 for now. Other than the app the only difference in a CC rom would be that any ota would come through CC instead of Motorola, like the Amazon phone.

Tell me first how to extract it from my phone?
If you are rooted you have 2 ways.-
- You can export it using some app like (App Extractor, SDMaid, Titanium Backup...)
- Or use the file browser to check '/data/app', or '/system/app', or '/system/priv-app' dirctories. It should installed as a system app, so should be on '/system /...'.
Note: if it has extra files/folders like libs, or similar, better zip the entire app folder, and it to me.
