I'm new user of P6 and I want to know how to use gloves mode. I tried it with wool gloves but phone didn't respond. Had anyone tried it yet?

Do you have a cover on your phone? Maybe it blocks your proximity sensor (which controls this)

there may be some third part apps that don't let your screen turn off
make sure that Proximity Sensor and Ambient Light sensor are not blocked in any way (dust/dirt)
do a factory reset / fresh install of the rom

Can't remember the thread but there is a thread on fixing the sensor if you search for it. It's a dialler code I think. Try installing android sensor bar as well to check the sensor.

Turn off knock on?

Hi guys, does anyone know how to turn off knock on on the G3? Tried looking for it in gestures settings like in the G2 but can't seem to find it. The g3 keeps waking while in my pocket making it feels constantly warm. Anyone else experiencing this? I don't mind just using the button at the back to wake it. The placement for the button is quite comfortable actually.
I'm sorry to hear this is a problem on the g3, I have this problem on the double tap to wake code on my Nexus 5 and so I just turned it off. I know for the galaxy 2, sorry g2, voice dictation, they released firmware fix for this I think

Can you tell me how you did the wake code on the nexus 5?
And to the op, isn't there a setting in the screen gestures section of the phone to turn it off?
You can turn it off in the hidden system settings menu
Dial 3845#*855# to access it.

It is the very last setting in the list, just scroll all the way down to the bottom.
If you have the Korean model replace the 855 with 400
I turned this feature off as it will save battery life too as it needs to keep the screen driver awake happy using the back button.

855 opens my hidden menu. But I still can figure out which option to choose after scrolling down to the bottom. The screen shot shows my menu. Could u let me know which option should I be disabling?

You need to scroll down there are more options below it's the very last one.

we don't have that functionality by default, it's patched into custom kernels and eats 2-3% battery per hour (another reason I turn it off)
Just so you know, I had issues with Knock On unlocking my phone in my pocket so I turned it upside down and the issue is 100% gone !
I think it's due to the light sensor not being 100% in the dark then the taps on the lap unlocked the phone. When it's upside down the light sensor is kept in the dark
I just can't find that setting... Ive looked everywhere. My phone is rooted with towelroot. Is that the problem?

Is it really the light sensor? I think the proximity sensor would make more sense in this case! Otherwise you wouldn't be able to use the knock on feature in the darkness...
Screen wakes in my pocket whichever way up I put it in and I don't want to have the screen face outwards. This is very annoying and didn't happen on my G2 - The screen is clearly very sensitive. I don't want to turn off knock on and I don't really like knock code.

Same here. Upside up or Upside down makes no difference for me. Display from body away seems to be the only real solution...
Looks like a few of u are experiencing the same problem. I have been facing the screen away from me as a solution but it feels so awkward when I m so used to have the screen face in. And I can't find the hidden settings to turn knock on off. They really hid very well I guess.

[Solved] Configure/deactivate touchless usage - Glove mode

when I want to touch the Screen, most of the time there is a circle and the Input was done before I have pressed on Screen.
This is very annoying, because it is not working perfectly and not all the time.
Is there a possibility to deactivate or configure this behaviour?
Apex-Launcher on Kitkat 4.4.4

Yes, sure! This is actually a fantastic feature called "Glove mode" which increases sensitivity and allows you to use touchscreen while wearing gloves.
Just disable it in Display settings and enjoy using this great phone

[Q] Disable one-key power saver

Often I accidentally turn on power saver key (for example when I put phone in my pocket).
Is there a way to disable it at all? I don't need it!
Does it happen to you too?
My phone is in a TPU case. As a result the power save switch does not protrude further than the case itself and therefore does not get accidentally switched. That said, it would be nice if we could change the function of that switch, perhaps to switch to/from silent or do not disturb.

I know it would be a solution (case) but I hate cases...

Changing the function of the switch would be awesome and couldn't be too hard to mod I guess. Let's ask Wzlaneor something.

Hey,I have figured out a way to disable the UPSM slider on Lenovo p2.
U need root access for this..
Then download this app.
System app remover (Root)
After that search for power manager after giving it root access.Uninstall. Power manager.Reboot.
Thats it.
