I have a Note II that I'm trying to fix. Basically, out of no where, the phone shut off, then wouldn't go past the Note II logo just stays there forever. I have also noticed a red light before the phone boots up from a complete off state.
How should I proceed on fixing this issue? Willing to try anything. (I have no warranty)
Thank you.

Hi. I recently used the camera app to take some pictures. After that, I locked my phone. When I tried to unlock it, the screen remains black. I decided remove and put back the battery. After I did that, the phone still does not turn on. I connected the phone to the charger, the LED does not light up. Is my phone bricked? I did not flash/install anything, I was just using the camera app. I hope anyone could reply as soon as possible. Thanks.

Take out the battery and wait at least three hours until you put it in again. Now try again.
If it's still not working, try to get into FASTBOOT (start ith with pressed back and power button) or HBOOT (start with pressed volume down and power button).
Hi. Thanks for your quick reply. I tried to go both into fastboot or recovery but nothing appeared on the screen. What can I do now?

So just to clarify - you can't do anything? No LED when charging? No bootloader or fastboot....
Tell us about your phone, rom - bootloader info (what you can remember) s -on or off?

No. It does not. The screen remains blank. No sound came out.
Ok... how about the taking only the battery out and plugging it into charge... does the LED come on?

Thanks for offering out to help anyway. I'm still shocked on how the camera could corrupt the whole system.
Yea i'm really confused as to why it does absolutely nothing?!

camera didn't cause this, same thing happened to me when the phone was just idling. I have also seen cases with problems exactly like this before - you're not the only one. HTC will repair this for you.

it does nothing because it died for one reason or another, like I said before it happened to me and a few others too.

who cares, what are you House? not every mystery can be solved - for one reason or another it died, and considering I've seen a few cases of this I'm guessing it's a factory problem with a small percentage of Desires... perhaps a mainboard problem

I sent my first phone for repair 3 times, after the third I got a new one, then a month later it broke again. Works fine now though.. these things happen.
I have a Galaxy Note II with a striaghttalk SIM in it, and i was just browsing the web, put it back in my pocket, and when i tried to turn it on, it wouldnt turn on.
I tried replacing the battery, doing a hard reset, charging it, connecting it to a computer, but it wont even show the start up screen.
I bought this seven months ago from Newegg, but I rooted it so I probably dont have the warranty. Does anyone know how long/much it would take to fix this? Also, has anyone had similar problems?
Thanks in advance

Dear friends, I've been using note 8 GT-N5110 wifi version since 1 and a half month and never had such problem.
Today, I get to saw a sudden black screen with some green and red letters saying something about SDcard, don't really remember. Then it went off to never come back. No booting animation, no Samsung logo, no charging animation, no recovery mode, no download mode, no even a light on the screen, no nothing.
Would they take the warranty for this? Is there any anything left to do by myself? My note is (was) rooted and currently using Civatos ROM. Any info needed, please ask for it. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!!!!!!1

Bittorrent and torrent search. They seem harmless.
Ive never heard of an app have the capability of causing such things, malicious or not. Did you flash something that you shouldn't have? What you are describing sounds more like a bad flash more than a rogue app. Otherwise I would be more inclined to think that you have a hardware problem. If you havent already, remove your sd card if you have one, and hold the power button for a minimum of 20 seconds and see if it turns on. If not, try charging your note for 24 hours even if it doesn't display charging information. Then try turning it on normally. If not, hold the power for 20 seconds. After that, I would say that you would need to contact Samsung for warranty repair or exchange.

You said, it said something about the sdcard. It's maybe a hardware or flash memory malfunction. Maybe it was talking about the internal sd. Did you try removing your sd? If that doesn't work you should just take it to Samsung because it might be a flash memory error.
Could use some help here. I got an i747 last night, rooted just fine, used triangle away no problem. When attempting to resolve a status 7 error I could not get anything to flash in CWM and now it is sitting on the Samsung logo. I can get it to download mode but that's about it. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mine is an AT&T locked i747 phone which I unlocked in India, but haven't rooted.
I had the same problem as above; I charged it all night as usual, but in the morning it was frozen on the logo splash screen. Tried restarting a few times, but it would again freeze on the same screen. So I removed the battery and let it rest a bit, but the same thing continued. Eventually during the course of the day, it stopped booting and now nothing happens when I restart it, it just wont boot.
When I insert another S3 battery, the flash "flashes" for a second and disappears, but the phone still doesnt turn on. Any idea what could be wrong? Battery is probably not the problem, since a working battery from another phone is not helping.
Any help will be much appreciated

That's really weird. Unfortunately, I don't know much about how to fix it unless it was a custom ROM, sorry that I can't help . I beleive it was in General there was a "No question too noobish" or something of that nature. I had several issues before and OP has pulled through for me, so maybe it's worth a shot. Sorry again

Hello, I'm looking for help with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite SM-T110.
The problem I am having is it is stuck on the screen that flashes on when you first power on the tablet, so it's the screen that says samsung galaxy tab 3 lite SM-T110. It isn't on solid, it just keeps flashing over and over again. I can not turn the power off. I tried holding the power button for a full minute and got nothing.
I have tried to get to recovery mode by holding power, volume up and home but all I get is a screen with a little android laying down saying no command.
I know next to nothing about tablets so I am really at a loss here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know exactly what happened, it's my kids tablet. The battery was dead so I charged it and when I took it off the charger I noticed this problem. There is a pretty good chance it was dropped but of course no one is admitting that.
The only thing I can do with it is go into download mode. If I try to get into recovery mode it just shows a little android guy on his back and says no command. The start up screen flashes continuously until the battery goes dead. I can't turn it off at all.

Hi I am having the same problem. Nothing that I know of has been done to mine. It's my mom's actually and I know it has been running slow. All I get is the flashing screen and little android guy saying no command. Tried the home power and volume up and that's when I get the little A guy with no command message. What can I do since I don't get anything else.
