Hi
I flashed India official OTA update with mobile odin pro(due to root, OTA would not work)
After flashing, things are working, (GPS mobile data etc.,) but WIFI is not working at all.
When I try to toggle switch to on, it does not happen.
It just goes greenish, and stays disabled.
Any ideas?
Can I install latest India 4.1.2 using mobile odin?
mobile odin didn't flash bootloader so that why your wifi is not working.
Since you didn't flash the bootloader,i think it safe to downgrade.

Thanks for the help.
So if I want to flash 4.3 I should use CWM(from Dr. Ketans Rom 4.3 rooted instructions?)
I will downgrade for now, and then later go through Dr. Ketans thread about 4.3 with root v3
read this..it may help you

Thanks, that is the answer I guess. No need to go back to 4.1.2
I have asked him whether I can go through mobile odin.
But if not, even then its okay as I have PC odin

*Tried flashing stock 4.2.2 (MDL) via Odin( tried v1.85, 3.09,3.07, just to make sure Odin is not the reason of failure)
*Flashing fails(says Aunthentication failed )
Can anyone help me fix this..please..

before you odin flash, go into recovery and do a "factory reset"
and then odin flash stock mdl and you should be good to go.
Good luck!
Are you flashing roms with Odin ? You should use TWRP or CWM to flash roms, not Odin.

Is the colored modem line showing up in odin, correct drivers installed, maybe bad download, check md5, are you clicking the phone button in odin ? Are you
going into download mode on phone, then connect cable ?

yes...i even flashed twrp recovery after firmware flash failure.. "kernel is not seandroid enforcing, set warranty bit : kernel" shows up at every boot up on top of the screen.
Are you on the official 4.3? With the new bootloader? You can't Odin 4.2.2 once you have the new bootloader, only Odin mk2. If you are still on mdl bootloader you should be able to

I flashed with Odin and i used the one before 1.85...was it 1.83? I'm not sure, but mine failed on 1.85. Try pervious ones and make sure it's in the right pda.

At the moment no. And I have the slightest feeling that when you did that, you tripped your Knox flash counter by trying to Odin MDL firmware while on the newest. Now since you most likely tripped it, you won't be able to reset the counter because there is no way yet and that has permanently voided your warranty for now. Once you've updated via ota or kies or Odin to 4.3 you're stuck.

Its because when you flash a fireware it communicates with the new boot loader to check if its the same version or newer.
If oyu pull the tars apart and retar just the system/data/and image files it might flash.
Hi guys can someone help to update my GT-N7100 which running on official 4.1.2 to official 4.4.2 N7100XXUFND3 Without Installing Knox By Trying Like This Method I Saw On Youtube : How to remove KNOX Bootloader on Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini firmware (with Linux)?
-On This Official Rom "N7100XXUFND3" (The Question Is Can I Delete The "sboot.bin" And/or "boot.img" From This Rom And It Will Not Update My Bootloader To Knox When I Flash It With Odin 3.07 Or It Will Hard Brick My Device).
Thanks In Advance,Any Help Or Info Is Really appreciated .
(And Excuse Me If There Is Any Mistakes In My Language).
Wifi with bootloader older than 4.3 not working at 4.3 or 4.4. OK now for this method first you need root and second you have to flash mj5 bootloader, it is writing Knox bit etc but is cosmetic and is possible to downgrade at everything you want. After you have to use mobile Odin to flash 4.4.2 official from your device (mobile Odin flashes everything except bootloader) and you will be ready but not rooted. If you need root you have to flash philz recovery 6.25... + and flash from recovery supersu update 1.94. After root also you can remove with a root file manager completely Knox apps from your device. If you want to restore warranty flash again original recovery with mobile Odin (if you don't want to extract the firmware put all firmware at mobile Odin at the place which is writing recovery) and after run triangle away 3.26. Links you can find at forum. If you own mobile Odin pro is good to know that ever root for the moment not working at 4.4.2 and you have to do the same procedure.

Hi!
I have Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) running on stock 4.1.2 ROM and I want to update it to stock 4.4 ROM. Is it possible to update directly from 4.1 to 4.4 using Odin? Or maybe I should update it to 4.3 and then to 4.4? Which version of Odin should I use? 3.09 would be ok?
Any tips or things that I should be careful of?

Method 1st: (ideally u shud use this method)
If you are not rooted, you should use phone software update to upgrade to 4.4.2.
If you are rooted, you will have to use triangleaway to reset flash counter and use supersu to fully unroot. Then upgrade using software update in phone.
Method 2nd:
3.09 is best Odin version to use. Just download the stock rom, dump it in AP tab and flash. Done.

I'm not rooted and running stock 4.1.2 but somehow OTA update in phone does not work. I'm pressing to check for updates and nothing happens at all (tried many times, restarting phone etc). So I want to do it using Odin. OK Odin v3.09 but what about version? Do I need to flash 4.3 first and then 4.4? Or can I flash 4.4 at once?

No need to flash 4.3.
First things first. Just make EFS backup using Dr.Ketan's Multitool. Transfer it to PC or cloud for safe keeping.
To upgrade you have 2 options:
1. PC ODIN 3.09 --> Download 4.4.2 firmware for your region from sammobile or samsung-updates and flash with Odin as explained earlier.
Note that you cannot downgrade the 4.4.2 bootloader, ever.
2. Mobile ODIN PRO --> To use this you need to be rooted. Once rooted download the apk file from play store and flash your 4.4.2 firmware. This will keep the bootloader as it is but will flash everything else.
Note: You won't be able to charge the battery when the phone is off. And you may face wifi problem due to old bootloader. If you face these problems, you have no choice but to use pc odin.

Dear friends
I'm going to describe the steps i took for fixing the WiFi problem of my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100.
The problem started last january, when the device got the latest 4.4.2 update from Samsung. By that time, it was not rooted.
WiFi started to turn off by itself, WiFi slider was grey and wont turn on again, searching for ip adress, etc...
I did everything i could find over the internet and nothing fixed it, after 1 month of search i was about to give up.
1. Flash stock 4.3 ROM from Sammobile using Odin 3.09, in my case the ROM was this:http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/23564/N7100UBUEMK4_N7100ZTOEMK3_ZTO/
I tried this with the lates 4.4.2 ROM without success.
2. Do a data wipe/factory reset from the stock recovery utility.
3. Flash philz_touch_6.48.4-n7100 recovery utility using Odin 3.09. File here: https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/n7100/philz_touch_6.48.4-n7100.zip.md5/
4. Root your device by installing SuperSU-v2.40 from philz recovery utility. Get it here: http://download.chainfire.eu/641/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip
5. Install NI1 Bootloader using Odin 3.09 with the BL tab, get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54320353
6. Install NI1 patched modem from philz recovery utility, get it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m950i4l27cpksrb/NI1_modem.zip?dl=0
7. I'm very happy with Android 4.3 and WiFi working again, if you wanna try to update to 4.4.2, do it at your own risk.
Good Luck
