before you odin flash, go into recovery and do a "factory reset"
and then odin flash stock mdl and you should be good to go.
Good luck!
Are you flashing roms with Odin ? You should use TWRP or CWM to flash roms, not Odin.

Is the colored modem line showing up in odin, correct drivers installed, maybe bad download, check md5, are you clicking the phone button in odin ? Are you
going into download mode on phone, then connect cable ?

At the moment no. And I have the slightest feeling that when you did that, you tripped your Knox flash counter by trying to Odin MDL firmware while on the newest. Now since you most likely tripped it, you won't be able to reset the counter because there is no way yet and that has permanently voided your warranty for now. Once you've updated via ota or kies or Odin to 4.3 you're stuck.

Its because when you flash a fireware it communicates with the new boot loader to check if its the same version or newer.
If oyu pull the tars apart and retar just the system/data/and image files it might flash.

To make a long story short I was in CM11 and when trying to restore to stock I tripped the Knox Counter. I no longer have voice or audio. I tried to restore to other custom roms with same issue. I tried downloading stock tmobiles images and am unable to restore with odin. Question after triggering the Knox does that not allow me to even restore a stock rom or is my issue some place else? Any help?
It's my understanding you can not Odin back to MDL but you should be able to Odin the MK2 firmware.

If you are sure that you tripped the knox counter this is how to fix the audio issue.
Download the official M919 STOCK 4.3 MK2 firmware/rom from http://SamMobile.com .
(filename: M919UVUEMK2_M919TMBEMK2_TMB.zip inside zip is the tar file)
Then Odin flash the tar in Odin's PDA slot.
After you odin flashed the 4.3 MK2 successfully see if the audio/sound/voice is good.
If it's not then download the latest KToonsez 12-12-2013 kernel and flash it using
cwm/twrp recovery. (after the phone is rooted)
Here is the direct download link for KToonsez kernel:
https://copy.com/kEWuwwaGj8j2/TW%20JB%204.3%20Versions/KT-SGS4-JB4.3- TW-TMO-12.12.2013.zip?download=1
Before you can cwm/twrp flash the kernel or any cwm/twrp flashable zip file you need to
be rooted.
Here is the direct download link for the odin flash CF-AUTOROOT:
http://download.chainfire.eu/328/CF...jfltetmo-jfltetmo-sghm919.zip?retrieve_file=1
It's always best in any case to flash the KToonsez kernel after flashing new roms.

I am having the same issue as the OP. But my understanding is, with Knox (which I unfortunately seem to have acquired, my fault) I cannot use Odin to flash a tar file.
You can still flash. You may trip the counter and you can't flash back to 4.2, but Odin still works.

At this point knox is already tripped, and that's okay. But to resolve my loss of sound and voice I would have to use Odin to flash a T-Mo 4.3 tar, such as the one above? This will flash everything, including modem, right?
Could i also Odin flash the full TMo 4.3 modem with the same results?

Here are the step by step instruction on how to get the MK2 modem.bin
baseband flashed successfully.
Here is the way to fix the audio issue you are having.
This will ONLY fix your audio issue if your baseband is MDL
so check your baseband by going to Settings>More>About device
and scroll down after clicking About device til you see baseband.
It will either have MK2 or MDL in it. If it's MDL then your
audio issue can be fixed by following the instructions below.
You can Odin flash MK2 while on an Wicked v9.1 4.2.2 rom or ODIN
flash it after flashing the Wicked v9.1 4.3 or other M919 based 4.3 roms.
Either way it makes no difference.
What does make a difference is to follow this step by step exactly to a "T".
#1: Manually power down the phone using the power button only
#2: Start ODIN and put the MODEM.BIN file into ODIN'S PHONE slot/tab.
#3: Put the phone into download mode by using the volume down and power button only.
#4: Plug the USB cable into the phone and into the computer.
#5: Make sure that ODIN'S [COM:xx] lights up.
#6: Un-Check the Auto-Reboot in ODIN and click START.
#7: After its done flashing unplug the usb cable.
#8: Manually power off the phone using the power button.
#9: Wait 20 or so seconds before you power on the phone.
After doing this the MK2 baseband should show up in About Device.
Here is the direct download link for the Tmobile 4.3 M919 MK2 modem.bin:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/1g...l89x/modem.bin
After your baseband displays MK2 you don't need to do anything,
the phone will then be ready to use with all it's bells and whistles.
I would highly suggest that you make a nandroid backup in TWRP recovery before you
change any settings, installing or flashing any apps, mods, themes or anything else.
Good luck!

If you have MK2 baseband then you should have proper audio, no audio issues at all
and the rest of your phone should be working fine since it's already rooted and the

Figured out the problem. So the MK2 Tar file I had was the culprit. I redownloaded the file from a different source, re-extracted the Tar and used Odin to reflash the tar file. Funny, the first file did not have a MD5 mismatch and did flash a modem. Well, whatever the issue was, I am glad it was resolved. Thanks for all your help guys.
now phone only boots up to a white phone yellow triangle in the middle white computer screen with a message that says firmware upgrade encountered an issue please select recovery mode in kies .............................
Did you put for in phone section in Odin?
Here's what I would do if you can.
Flash modem again in phone section.
Boot into recovery and reflash rom again.
Hope it works. If not you'll have to find odin stock rom and start fresh again.

You can only update the modem with Odin. Flashing your nandroid zip will not affect it any which way.
I have been running CM11 for a month now, and just flashed the NF1 modem separately through Odin last night - didn't have to backup anything and I am now on the NF1 baseband.

Hello everyone, I am in need of some help.
I tried to update my l900 mk4 rooted to NE2 yesterday and it failed and left me in a situation.
My bootloader got updated to NE2 but everything else stayed as MK4.
My issues is when I try to ODIN flash a stock MK4 tar, I get an error Binary:3 Device:2.
After research I getting that everything needs to match up I'm guessing. (I could be wrong)
So what I am needing is a MK4 bootloader to flash via recovery or ODIN or a way to get everything to NE2 (I just need them matching)
Someone has uploaded a MK4 bootloader tar (I cant find the link) but is does not work with ODIN.
If I am completely wrong about all this please chime in, I'm not developer and could have misinterpreted my research.
My status right now is a very early, dirty flash of CM11 (I had a backup) that will not update with nightlys via updater giving MK5 checksum verification error. I am assuming this is related.

You cant downgrade bootloader without causing issues. Also you don't have to have bootloader, rom, and radio versions match. I am on ne2 bootloader running mk4 rom with the ancient lj1 modem. Not sure what your cm11 issue is not mismatch of versions. You can flash the full ne2 tar with odin if you want but cant go backwards with odin.

Ah, I see now. So basically the only TAR I can flash is either a NE2 or NK2?
I guess I have something else going on with CM11 and CM12. I cannot update CM11 at all and if I try to flash CM12 I get a boot loop. None of this happened till I tried to upgrade from MK4 to NE2.
Not sure how to fix it, I'm stuck on a Dec of 2013 CM11 rom. Every NE2 TAR I download, both my computers say they are corrupt (I'm thinking it might be a windows 8.1x64 issue)
If you go to androidfilehost.com/dev/jlmancuso and search around you will find a copy of the ne2 tar I uploaded. It should download better/faster. Hopefully it will help you out.

Hmmm...thats what i am actually thinking as of now....but looking for easy alternative like if we get the flashable zip or something of this baseband i can just flash it without taking backup of ROM and reinstall the ROM etc.....
But am looking for a site where i can download these basebands....
i take it you are trying to update the modem/baseband ihere you go. Must be done thru odin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/general/foh3-modem-bin-mdl-bootloader-t3191094
IMPORTANT: DO NOT CHANGE THE BOOTLOADER unless u KNOW EXACLY what you are doing...changing bootloader to the wrong bootloader will brick your device and some modem packages conatin bootloader. so make sure that you are getting a ODIN file that only contains the modems and no bootloader!
if you wish to properly update the bootlaoder and baseband properly ....just ODIN the OFFICIAL samsung release for your device and then re-root and reinstall recovery and then your rom.

Perfect....I will use this one....
And on S4 you don't even need to root before flashing TWRP and your ROM of choice. Just double flash the stock release with ODIN, let it boot up and make sure all is well, go into Camera to let it see if it needs a firmware update (happens automatically first time you run stock camera app), and when satisfied your phone is good, go into download mode, take TWRP + whatever else you want.
