aw, you've downloaded it from the PlayStore. It used to work if its bough. Check the games topic and see which games and their versions are working for your device. I'd suggest you to use Chainfire but you said that your tab isnt rooted.

If your device is new I suggest you not to root it before you know what you are doing. Rooting your device will void your warranty. I suggest you to ask the people in the store where you bought it if there is some problems if you do so (I did it this way and they said its fine if I dont brick it myself). If you think you know enough to proceed there you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=930197 . Also I suggest you to install custom ROM because its way faster then stock OS. There is other way, check the topic for games available for A101 and check if the version matches with the one you've downloaded from PlayStore.

yes it's new .. i will wait the warranty to end , after that i will root it ..
but please ,, i have some questions , i hope you will answer me..
1.. you advise me to install a custom ROM as its faster ,, doesn't rooting include installing it ? or rooting is a step and installing a custom ROM is a separated step which i can ignore ?
2..the topics you gave has a lot of firmwares which one to use ? how do i know ?
3.is it true that with rooting i can download paid apps for free ?
i know this is far away from the main topic , but i need to know every thing about rooting , as it a little bit confusing me ..

1.First you root your device by installing Special Developer Edition of android called also SDE and then install the custom rom over it. Your device remains rooted with the custom rom.
2. The firmwares are just firmware versions released by Archos. Download the latest one and all the files with the same number for the correct firmware. If you like to proceed ofcourse.

use standard root method (root kit for i9070 from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660419)
at Point 10 just choose XXLD3 (which could be downloaded from other site), it should work well.
just remember that FLASHING ROM requires that you will use proper rom i.e. rom dedicated for i9070P not for i9070

Just to confirm, using the standard root method will unlock the phone?

[Q] How return i8160P to stock after JB

Has anyone figured out how to make a i8160P still a P after returning to stock GB. Any time I've tried to flash the original firmware the phone remains a regular i8160 and states that a custom power management has been installed. The NFC works but the device has no IMEI and insists at boot and in the device menu it is an i8160.
I don't think it is possible after you have flashed i8160 firmware
I've tried various different things but to no avail. It is a shame about my impatience. Especially considering the Germany i8160P, which is the one I have, has gotten the Jelly Bean update first. :silly:

Use I8160P GB SER ( include Pit File, ussualy) and then back to stock Germany GB for I8160P, and flash the new one...
If it doesn't work...
Go to your Samsung Service Center..

Sadly that first step doesn't work. It throws up the Custom Power Management Error and you loose your IMEI. Samsung won't deal with it since the device was not available in my region.

This does not apply for 8160P (Ace 2 with NFC)... best case, you will have to flash back to MB2/MB4/MC8... mid case no modem/IMEI (no NFC, 3G, etc.)... worst case: brick! Do NOT attempt if you have 8160P!
I tried this, to regain NFC and to be able to flash JB ME1, but when trying to flash GB for 8160P over the Russian rom I got custom modem. Immediatly flashed back to MB2, stuck there now (MC8 is horrible!)

If you manage to install GB for 8160P w/o losing your IMEI, tell me how you did it... but probably you will encounter CUSTOM MODEM errors when flashing original 8160P fw (after having flashed SER for 8160)
You need a complete firmware.
The problem its I8160XXMB4. This Firmware include Bootloader, new memory management, ipl...
Once you have instaled mb4, your phone will be a "true" i8160 until you can flash a complete i8160p firmware, and in this moment, i believe that dont exit any complet i860p firmware, so You can still update your ace with any i8160 uptade, but not more i8160p, until some new "complete packaged" will be leak of course.
Could someone with a P that hasn't been flashed update a full firmware dump?
Should be "easy".
You need a i8160p rooted and some linux knowledge
The "only" problems are:
1º. You need to know the path to block files, normally they are in /dev/block
2º. You need to suppose that block are each partition (system, userdata, sdcard, modem, bootloader, sbl, cache...)
3º. You need a SD card with enough free space
Once you have all, should be "easy" dump each partition:
dd if=/dev/block/blockxxx of=/sdcard/bootloader.raw
dd if=/dev/block/blockxxy of=/sdcard/system.raw
...
where blockxxx should be each block device
But even when you can obtain all partitions and you can identify them, you still need create a firmware with them or flash some of them on other devices, with the correspondence risk and privacy problem form the dump owner... well, the owner could of course delete userdata, sdcard, efs... partitions
@primewell

Nicely trolled!!
Hi everyone!
I have international version D802 32GB (probably originally dedicated for the Korean or Hong Kong market). Currently I'm using ROM D30a (Italy) but unfortunately it has one (but very painfull for me) issue - every try to use IPSec VPN causes FC and restart, so I wonder about returning to the KitKat.
Problem is that LG firmware website shows the newest version for this phone is 20C, which version has several annoying bugs (like no possibility to sort contacts by last name). I searched many forums and no one provided clear answer which rom (newest KitKat) can be flashed on my phone without storage problems. Many people says for example "probably this... maybe that... from Italy/Hungary/Mars/Jupiter/Moon etc. will be ok, but I'm not sure because I'm using another ROM".
I found also notice that I can use/flash any ROM without "16G" in the filename - but many ROMs without "16G" has exactly the same size as others with "16G".
Can somebody give me clear answer (link will be greatest option )?
Thanks in advance for any help.

What's wrong with flashtool?
https://github.com/Androxyde/Flashtool
Download button is on the right hand side underneath 'Clone in desktop' button... This will flash anything anywhere anytime.... just put yr Kk ftf file into the Flashtool firmwares folder and it will show up as a choice to flash.... Job Done
Or.... you could download the Android SDK and use adb to flash your ROM but there's a bit more to understanding how to work with a CMD window opened in platform-tools folder to run the adb.
https://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/index.html
If you have a Z1 compact I find it odd that you have a slower device with lollipo on board.... or is it stock lollipop...? Custom lollipop ROM's run like the wind on my Z1 cos there's no bloat to clog it up and fill up the RAM.... minimal Google apps ensure it runs fast and the control over how yr handset runs is yours.... not Googles

This makes it sound like you've got a 'broken' flashtool .... ..... but I'm now guessing you've never used one before and that is why it's not 'workable'....?
If you've never used flashtool before then you need to read thru the thread at the beginning of this forum in the General section.

Hello, thanks for your reply.
Yes, i am new to the flashtool stuff. Before this i manually updated my mobile phone to lollipop ugrade with a step by step approach.
The file you provided i could not open it. I will take a look in the thread you provided.
Update : I managed to use ''sony mobile flasher by androxyde'' to put a kitkat firmware on my phone and it succeeded.
I just dont know if this version i put is the official one. If you could give me a link to the official kitkat version for z1 compact(yes i searched but couldnt find anything) it would help a lot.

Hello,
Yes it is running smooth. No lags, just like the day i bought it.
Sony logo is present at boot, yes. Maybe some stuff look a bit different because i was getting used to lollipop ! ?
Additional info :
build number : 14.4.A.0.157
android version : 4.4.4
I really cant remember where i downloaded the ftf file but it was not a official website, i think.

Thank you.
A question : Will a lower firmware (example 4.2 or 4.3 ) have a positive effect on the RAM ? for example phone being faster.

Hello,
I just recharged my phone within 10 minutes up to 50% ! Seems the KK firmware has indeed a positive effect on the battery. I am going to try JB and find out what it does on the battery and let you guys know.

The best way to speed up your device is to manage the limited RAM resource that such a small computer can have built into such a tiny space. Unwanted bloatware and 'uncontrolled' background applications use up too much RAM as ideally you should aim to never be using more than 30% of total RAM with the device just turned on and loaded...so when you open an app or go online to browse you have plenty of space to shuffle stuff around..... and that's why the clever guys here design Custom ROM's which run much faster because they are tuned to be more efficient than stock.
If you add to that having root access and the total control that comes with it you can end up with a much faster device by ensuring you only have the apps on board that you use and that none of them are running in the background unnecessarily. You can monitor your RAM and cache usage and learn how to adjust your app settings to get the best out of what you have constantly.
It's like any machine ... off the shelf works.... but if you tune it for optimum performance you'll get much more from it.

Indeed as Spudata rightly notes those letters represent regions and so you can tell from that your KK ftf you obtained and flashed is a customised from Russian origin. I would guess that when you first booted into set-up and were asked to select the language it 'may' have been on Russian by default and you had to scroll down to select your language of choice....?
If you ever decide to try out taking full control of your device and experiece the full power it has then the best time to experiment is when you get a new one so you can keep your old one to play with in case you manage to do some irreversible damage, tho that happening is becoming far less frequent with the tools that we have available nowadays thanks to the awesome work of the clever people who work to develop them and share here on XDA.
Enjoy
Thank you for reply guys.
@Lightning,
Yes indeed, i do not know if it was Russian but it was Cyrilic for sure, so yes most likely it is a Russian version. I assume there are also EURO versions out there ? Would it not be better for me to put a EU version ? ( I am from Netherlands).
Indeed, i am trying to learn more from you guys, after i have found my ideal firmware i am planning to put 4k video recording on the device and so on.
