[Q] [Rooting-Help] GT-N7105

Hello there,
I'm new to this forum, also i'm totally new to 'rooting'.
I want to root my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7105, 4.3 jelly)
I've searched around the web for quite some time now. I've read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933542, but i still have a question about it.
My phone:
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 4G
Modelnummer: GT-7105
Android-version 4.3
Baseband-version N7105XXUEMK2
In the topic of Chainfire's post of the CF-Auto-Root says GT-7105 is suitable for the CF-Auto-Root. But i'm still unsure about the Baseband-version, does the baseband-version matter?, if not is my phone then suitable for the CF-Auto Root?
(Why am i unsure about the Baseband-version; well that is because if i search on the web "GT-N7105 how to root", i find many with different baseband-versions so thats why it made me make this thread, sorry if it was a totaly useless thread and if the answer was 100% clear. But i kinda wanted to be sure before i start following the steps of CF-Auto-Root)
Hope any of you can help me with that question.
Bump
I think baseband version doesn't matter, but CF-auto root won't work anyway as there's Knox and it will block the superuser app.
Best if You change kernel (with CWM) and flash some knox free ROM.

Dylanaw,
If it helps, I flashed my GT-7105 a number of times this week to overcome an issue with my email and a poxy security feature (in the loosest of terms). Whilst I have zero affinity to one ROM or another I have eventually settled on the OMNI 4.4 ROM that you will find on the front page of the GT-7105 development page. Why? Easy really, as it is the clearest ROM in terms of steps to take and what to do :good: especially for newbs. So, if you really want to install a custom ROM then this is a good one to start with! Regards the baseband question, on this ROM my machine is displaying a baseband-version of N7105XXUMJ9.
I hope this helps.

[Q] 4.4.2 kit kat

Has the Offical OTA for Kit kat come out yet??? A buddy at work had me root his phone a few weeks ago and since he cant get it via OTA i have to keep an ear out for it here.
Thanks.
Surely you have read the general and development forums? Yes KK OTA is available. You better read up on the flashing issues and bricking possibilities before you take the KK OTA and decide you want to revert back to a custom rooted rom.

The 3 main download links don't seem to be working..
I'm confused.
I want to return a friends AT&T Note 2 to stock firmware. It is on MK6 bootloader.
I've read a few threads but I don't see much for returning to stock when you are already on MK6.
The Knox counter is already tripped to =1.
All my friend want is to put the phone back to latest stock firmware and to root it so that Xposed Framework can be installed.
I would appreciate all the help.
Thanks
THANK YOU!!!!
You saved my day! Thanks.

There have been 2 updates since this build. NE5 and NJ1.
Look in http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2-att/development for ROMs.
Not sure what you consider safe.
You have given no information as to what the status of your phone is. Rooted, (assuming you're running this ROM and you have not removed Rooy) custom recovery, you could have used ODIN to flash this ROM (if you are running it)
If you are still rooted, or you have removed any of the stock programs, the update will fail during it's pre-check phase.

Samsung galaxy note 2 sgh-i317 not restoring with odin
Hello,
My friend brought me his note 2 that seems to be bricked. He was about to smash it against the ground before I took it from. I hooked it up to KIES and it couldn't connect. Right now it is stuck on the SAMSUNG pulsing logo. I've downloaded stock rom and flashed it in Odin and it passed. Then did a factory reset and tried to see if it would start then and it didn't. Is there a way to find out what bootloader is on it? It mentions something about the efs not mounting and something else about magic string missing.
Any help or guides provided would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

P600 KK 4.4.2 to 4.3 Stock ROM
I have TWRP and am running Hyperdrive KK RLS5.1. I really miss the normal split-screen on Android 4.3 and the fact that it never went to immersive mode. Can I use this toolkit to flash back the ROM for Android 4.3 that I can download from SkipsSoft? Or is there a better way, or no way to go back?

You want to return to stock rom. Download stock rom 4.3 for your region from sammobile.com and flash with odin.

Will that work as easily as that? I have read elsewhere that once you have gone to 4.4.2 with Knox, that you can't go back. Supposedly it will brick my device. What I failed to mention in my post is that before installing the custom ROM, I was running stock 4.4.2 Please respond.

Hi
It's possible to downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.3 using odin.
