Found a flashable zip file on this thread (Galaxy Smart Watch) here on XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2533774
Been looking for a way to enable bluetooth tethering, It looks like someone has done it but I never saw a mention of it here in the Tmobile Note 3 threads. Hope this helps someone else besides me.

Have you tried this out then? Are you on a T-Mobile base? Was the flashable the one posted by evilart?
Sorry for the questions there, I've been curious about this myself
Yes I tried it out. I did a TWRP back up first, flashed the zip, went in and enabled bluetooth tether and tried it out using my tablet. I like to tether this way cause it uses allot less power on both devices. The only thing I don't know is if this change circumvents provisioning checks as I am paying for tethering anyway. I would love to see feedback from users that are not provisioned for tethering try it.
Forgot to mention, I am on stock Tmobile deodexed rom. Yes it was the one posted by evilart.
DO you have the file anymore, I have the T-mobile note 3 and would, and it would be great if you can email or post it somewhere I can download it.
thank you

I would have to look for it. Been using the international version of 4.4.2 for the note 3 and so it's not needed. It has native bluetooth tethering and works out of the box. I'll let you know if I come across it.
I have bluetooth tethering working with Tmo note3 on Jedi/saber and Gear on latest Null Rom. It does drain the battery....really fast. only really do it for short periods. otherwise, I use combination of wondershare and bluetooth file transfer for everything else.
What ROM do you guys recommend to get Bluetooth tethering on T-Mobile note 3 for gear ?

Tethering to Omate True Smart
HI.
I have an Omate True smart that im wanting to tether to my at&t note 3 (SM-N900A). Ive tethered to TS to my note 3 via Foxfi bluetooth, and it works great! however when i try to connect via the bluetooth menu on my phone, (i see the option "internet access" under profiles) it gives me this error on my watch "network access points service of SAMSUNG-SM-N900A is unavailable" Any thoughts on why i would be getting this message?
Well what a tease your carrier is.
cheers! working fine on me
How do you get it to work?
Oh!!!!!! its work. Thanks for your post.:highfive:
Try vision x note 3 roms. Both roms internet bluetooth tethering work.

I have looked and searched through this forum and the dev forum and I can't find a fix for my issue. I load up from the store and install ok, give it root permissions set the profile, and it works, turn it off and back on and it doesn't work, seems if I change the profile sometimes it works again but never twice in a row with the same profile.
Any ideas.
I have tried the access control thing thinking that would help but no luck.
Try Clearing data. Use Generic ICS and select routing fix.

Same deal worked first time then nothing shows up in SSID List.
But just tried the same thing and use the Nexsus cdma/lte one and it works now every time.

This is how I got mine working, by using the galaxy nexus lte profile. I had trouble at first, but it's worked fine ever since I selected that profile.
omg, I've been trying to make wifi tethering work all night. Did as bluebeast suggested using the nexus profile and it works perfectly! thx

I am using the Samsung Galaxy S3 profile on mine. I found that it works the same as a hidden SSID. I was able to successfully connect from my laptop, even though the SSID did not show in the available networks list. I actually prefer this, as I believe it makes my tethering more secure. Now that I've saved the profile, my laptop & other devices connect automatically.

Sadly, having a hidden SSID is really only going to keep the old ladies out. much in the same way I like to believe having MAC address filtering makes me secure. Depending on where and how you use it though is everything.
That's true, but it is the first layer of additional security.

It's included in my plan as well and I'm on AT&T. Not sure if it's a Premier thing though, but my data plan came with hotspot as part of it, and it's not the data sharing plan.
When I tried to enable it, it told me to call 611 to activate it.
+1 for foxfi on ATT.
AT&T will force you to give up unlimited data plans to enable this from them and it's another $15 USD / month. I believe the context of the OP is without carrier plan.
If you have no unlimited data and can stomach the $15/mo, more power to you.
Foxfi doesn't work for me but I found a way to get native tethering work on this phone but your phone has to be rooted to do that:
1. First you need to delete TetherProvision.apk system app. Either by root explorer or TB. Removing this might cause a FC when you try to turn Mobile Hotspot on in Settings (happened to me) but keep on reading.
2. Go to Google Play store and install Power Toggle and add the Wifi tether widget to your Homescreen.
3. Boom ^_^.
Excellent! Thank you for finding this.
Or flash 15 toggles from the Development thread. Mobile Hotpot built in + flash light and others

I have a rooted sphl900 note 2. Did update to 4.3 and lost my ability to use WiFi tether by trev mod. Is there a fix?
Or do I have to wipe out my phone and put a rom which has tethering ability? What do I have to do to get it back ?
Can anybody help its much appreciated. I really dont like to wipe phone since I have a lot of stuff on it, but if I have I will.

The Bluetooth works on mine, I have not tried the USB yet. I didn't think Sprint would make it so easy to tether or maybe sprint doesn't have any control. I'm just happy I can tether again.

problems with mss clamping and log.files
Similarily to a previous poster, when I updated to 4.3 my wifi tether trevE no longer works. Whatever is keeping it from working is preventing my wife's s4, both are rooted (obviously), they both have the same message. When I try to start tethering the reply message is " tether started with problems, please Check logs"
when I go to the logs, it tells me the file doesn't exist. I think this is my main problem.
When looking up the proper settings, enable mss Clamping was # 10 on the list, but there wasn't a setting for mss clamping.
Has anyone fixed this yet? I've seen plenty of google articles with the same issue. Thanks in advance.

For those that don't have the native hotspot working. For example me since I'm using att note 5 on cricket wireless.
There is a mod in tmobile galaxy s6 forum that you can use to replace the native tetheringprovision.apk with a modded one that skips the provision check. And since now we have a Teathered Root, we can play with system files.
Here's the link to the mod:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s6/development/mod-enable-native-tether-t3078551
I tested it and it worked, but I only replaced the apk file, not the APN change.
I have the at&t Note 5 on cricket wireless and I can enable the wireless hotspot using the sidesync app. Connect your phone to your pc via USB cable, then on the pc sidesync app, enable mobile hotspot. No root or other modifications needed.

Ok, I have tested and verified. The phone does broadcast a wifi signal and other devices can connect to it, not just the pc it is connected to. As soon as the usb cable is disconnected the hotspot is automatically turned off.

did you do the second step of removing the arm64 folder? kind of doing my homework on this, because I am in that same boat of AT&T Note 5 on Cricket, and I would like unfettered access to my tethering, for my windows tablet/laptop ect.
And I'd really like to not brick this shiny new note 5 I just got. I'm rather fond of it.
