Hi. I heard froyo has been released for nexus. Does that mean it will soon be available for desire as custom Rom?
just read the other posts befor starting a new thread...
And post this in the general section, you are polluting what could otherwise be a productive development space.
FroYo to Desire port - Status
Best to make a thread now... When anyone hears any news of a Desire FroYo port being made please post in this thread.

Duplicate ideas/requests?
This isn't a duplicate of anything on the Desire forum so please stop clogging my thread with your self-righteousness.
huetson2 said:
self-righteousness? nah pal, i'm not stupid, that what it boils down to. read previous posts regarding froyo before asking such stupid questions.
failing that buy a nexus son

Get off your high horse and get out of this thread.
This isn't a request thread, merely a place for people to post news of FroYo ports.
On a side note...
Paul has given an ETA for a Desire port! Next week according to his twitter.
lmao - another helpful thread.

What exactly do you want from me? You seem to be stalking my posts just to make self righteous comments.
Please, leave me alone.
I know you are all excited about 2.2, I am too.
I was about to start porting Paul's Nexus version but decided to come here first in order to know if it has been done and end up reading lots of non-sense.
You can have threads like this in the general section and when there is a port it will be published in its own thread, can we stick to development relevant posts here? There aren't many desire developers, we don't want to push them away with misplaced content.

Can this really have been ported only 12 hours after release, paul at Modaco has already said next week for a Desire port.
Posting links to files that are for the wrong phone is going to pi$$ off an awfull lot of people when they start bricking their phones.
Pretty certain that link is not to a Desire port.

You need to be active (think you need 30 posts) and you need to be a contributor to general etc. I see you've only got 3 posts
EDIT: It's 10 posts according to 3xeno!

I saw those but decided to be nice. I'm not longer being nice. OP, stop violating forum rules by creating multiple threads on the same subject, thanks.
hey every1. im sorry if im not posting this in the right section but i couldnt see a better way.
so i want to install this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2342997
could somebody please post me complete tutorial from gb to this rom? recovery, firmware and stuff.
P.S. maybe this will help avoid new threads for help installing this rom.
Yes, it'll help, considering you are the only one that ask fit that...
Anyway, what's wrong with instructions in the OP?

People are just too lazy to look around. Everything is here but it's too much of a hassle to put one sentence in the search bar. And you really think that General section is better than Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting for this thread?
well if im the only one then why i see you whining like a little girl in every thread? if u dont have nothing to answer to my question please SHUT UP
now it will just stay as a spam thread for no reason and yes im lazy because instructions are not clear. do i go directly yo me7 or mb2/4 first. so yeah thanks for the help
Your thread was spam, and in wrong section from the beginning. Read forum rules, read some basic topics and don't tell me to shut up.
P.S. Please consider investing in glasses if you don't see better place to ASK QUESTION
well... i wouldnt but u just keep writing the same in your answer. we learn from mistakes dont we? stop spaming me what i already know....
DELETE THIS THREAD.

to install CM, you need to go to JB first because it needs CWM 6.
for the JB version, choose your ace 2‘s region (i have Indonesian Ace 2, so I use Indonesian JB ROM). you can use others region but avoid chinese region because it has different signal and also check if your ace 2 is P or L type because it has different ROMs
do you need to go to mb2/mb4? don‘t know yet because I didn‘t test all JB roms. For my region‘s rom, I can directly go to JB from GB
for the instruction how to upgrade and where are the roms.. please search...

Why would you want to keep the questions and answers to yourself? Thats going directly the other way as this forum was ment to be used.
Put your questions here as that is what this forum is ment for. If anyone else has the same question they can find it too.
And you could also search for your questions, but i guess you already know that.
Yea, thats what i should do
I will update my op with questions \m/
